Yeah! and if I had the M1 screen, wouldn't even really need that huge directors monitor cage setup because it does everything, would just need a power source!
You have the best and most thorough review of this product in UA-cam. Hence, subscribed😊. I am in Shanghai and between these, Vaxis, and Accsoon, they are made in China. Great products for the money. My question to you is, for focusing pulling, non critical, what was your setup?Did you plug the Hollyland 4k directly in the Alexia, then out to the Portkeys, or Did you plug the Portkeys in first? I am more concerned with keeping the monitor off of the Camera for most of my shots are on a tripod or gimbal and a truly wireless setup is more of a priority for me. I will eventually get the 'M2' from Hollyland =Enhanced M1 in Shanghai. But for now, I am also using a portkeys monitor. Thanks in Advanced. Korea is a great place. Been there 10 times😅.
On the Alexa 35 we had two outputs so one went to the Hollyland then to focus puller and then the On camera monitor used a separate SDI so there were no delays before transmission! For other cameras we usually have to go via a monitor, like the Portkeys. Yes hopefully I can get my hands on an M1 Enhanced too and see how much better that is than an external monitor :)
@@AnotherCameraChannel So you connected the transmitter to the camera the used the receiver with the Portkeys separately or on camera Focus pulling. I'd rather be off camera
Yeah, transmitter to camera directly, then send the video to the receiver for the focus puller and their monitor :) and if you have another receiver or use the app then the director or client can also watch the same time!
@AnotherCameraChannel there is an another way around for cameras with single hdmi output i.e. use an hdmi spliter on camera output then u can connect transmitter and monitor at the same time without having any delay or issue. What do u think of that?
Anything you put in the signal chain is going to add to the delay however you may be able to find a splitter that has less delay than the transmitter, or the monitor, then at least they are receiving the signal at the same time. It could be a good idea :) you'd just have to test it out!
@@AnotherCameraChannel do u think its a good buy today in its particular price bracket? I also looked into pyro h but its not upto the mark and currently mars 4k is available for $520
Pyro H isn't good enough because it's only HDMI? There's also the Pyro S which is SDI and HDMI. So the closest to the Mars 4K at In and Out. From my understanding the Mars System will only have 5" screens, like the Mars M1 Enhanced. There will never be a 7" size. Where the Pyro system has the 7" screen. I also have the Pyro H. I think if I would invest in more I would go with the Pyro as they have the larger screen. I personally really like 7" screens. However, I also really like Accsoon, and they are releasing a 4K system soon I think from their teaser video so I'd at least wait for that one to come out before buying anything. Tech improves so fast so it's always good to check out what's coming out :)
@@AnotherCameraChannel yea because of being only hdmi and S is more addition to the price so it goes upto the next bracket. I am not into M1 and i prefer getting exclusive monitor(s) relatively bigger screen size so i dont think 5 or 7 inches screen size are the deciding factors here. Accson is another good option and cant agree more with the rapid evolution of the tech. It would be interesting to compare different models within specific price brackets
Hello guys, i need help. sorry for my english, i'm from indonesia. I'm making preparations for an upcoming project and checking all the equipment that I will use, while I'm checking my Hollyland for signal and I/O running well. When I checked the signal using a cellphone and tablet specifically for apple devices like an ipad or iphone, the device couldn't connect via Hollyland WiFi just stuck loading, I tried changing to another device but the result was the same. Nothing has been changed, I'm quite confused as this is the first time I've experienced this. Any solution? please i need help, I'm using Hollyland Mars 4K. Thank you in advance.
What error are you getting? Are you able to enter the password for the wifi? 12345678 Is your phone/tablet auto switching to a different wifi network because there's no internet connection on the Hollyland wifi ? (I've seen that happen before)
@@AnotherCameraChannel I've connected before, but suddenly it just stuck on loading. I tried contacting the technician and they finally decided to check directly because this was the first time they discovered this issue
Shit. I just bought this online. Didnt get it yet. Didnt realize 4K is only from HMDI. that's very misleading. The lack of SDI splitter really sucks too. I now have to go from camera HDMI out to monitor and SDI out to transmitter.
@michaelfrymus Just checked another review for you. C1 is still HD only, the TX has HDMI in, SDI in, and an SDI loop Out. But only the SDI signal comes out of the SDI loop out, not HDMI. From what I gather it's only a 1TX, 1 RX system and I don't see anyone mentioning it working with the Hollyview app which the Mars and Pyro systems benefit from. Unfortunately, if you're looking for 4K over SDI I don't believe Hollyland make this yet.
@@AnotherCameraChannel yeah, just saw another video talking about that. Looks like I'll have to stick with HDMI. Then again, most often I'd be using a tablet to view. The issue in having now is speed. My current camera is HDMI out. My monitor has HDMI in/out, and SDI in/out. So, if I want the fastest transmission and best quality, seems as though I'll need to plug HDMI from camera to transmitter, and then out to the monitor? - If that's the case, then I might swap to the Pyro H. If I plug camera to monitor via HDMI and out to transmitter via HDMI or SDI and the speed doesn't change much, I might as well just keep what I ordered.
@@michaelfrymus Yeah Pyro H seems like the best option then, and it's also the cheapest of the Pyro Line, but is the only device with USB-C power options which is a nice bonus. I have a review of all the Pyros including the Pyro 7 on this channel also if you wanted to see that.
I like the fact that they look compact and not unwieldy.
Yeah! and if I had the M1 screen, wouldn't even really need that huge directors monitor cage setup because it does everything, would just need a power source!
Super informative, straight to the point 😊
Hey - thank you very much for the video. I've just ordered the Hollyland for my C300iii. Your video helped a lot. :)
Did you know they have the new PYRO system now?
It supports more devices than the MARS system does. 4 devices instead of 2.
Very cool addition to the arsenal 👍
I think so too!
Xander! Great see another review, and happy to see they did include HDMI/SDI (always useful when you don't have to buy yet another BMD converter 👍)
Couldn't agree more! Great to see both SDI and HDMI for the flexibility and as you said to save on converters! 😂

I would love to get a set of these one day 😮
You can borrow ours :)
Great vid! Not over done. Q: If you input 4K HDMI on the transmitter, what do you get out of the SDI on the receiver? Nothing? A 1080p scaled stream?
right! the SDI will output only an HD signal! :)
Hi! question for you. Can you use SDI for input and still get 4k from an hdmi output? Or does the input have to be hdmi for the output to be in 4k?
SDI is only HD :(
So HDMI only for 4K!
Just like the new PYRO system
I want you to do a review for the Ronin 4D It will blow your mind.
Nice~🤩👍🏼
Thank you 🥰

Just to confirm, so the Hollyland Mars 4K is working well between the RX & TX, but you can't get the iPhone to connect to Wifi?

The new Pyro series is actually the same, 4K over HDMI with SDI still limited to 1080.
