- A few weeks can I fished this feeder creek, and caught a lot of feesh.. But, I also seent a gosh derned giant fish swimming around that I couldn't catch, so I came back. With that being the main goal, I also had a side mission. Catch more bait for an upcoming bid river trip, and potentially, maybe catch and keep some walleye. We accomplished the most important of those goals. PAAA POWWW!!!

A country mile is a deceptively long distance, an extremely long way. The idea behind a country mile is the fact that most country roads are not in a straight line. Instead, roads in the country tend to meander up and down and all around
Came here to say this. It's a phrase similar to "as far as the eye could see"
I have was always told that a country mile was 2 to 3 miles to 5 to 7 miles.
A “little bit down the road” is about a mile, a good ways is about 2 or 3 miles and a country mile is about 5 miles lmao where I’m from anyways 😂
As the crow flies is the same deal
I agree with you Larry, a country mile goes on and on for ever.
Another fun fishing trip, thanks for taking me!
Yeah it’s a Spiny Softshell. They are endangered/threatened in several states across their range but as far as I know, as a whole (and including in Nebraska) they aren’t listed as anything. Smooth Softshell is the rarer species in that region and I believe the subspecies present in Nebraska (Midland Smooth Softshell) is considered endangered within the state but not across its entire range.
Good to know!
Are you the softshell turtle whisperer?
Bud, I love your videos and your commentary! You see fishing the way I do and I love it!
Your honesty in every video is awesome.
I love at lake of the Ozarks. Bass are always bitting. Gar carp drum wiper bites. Thanks for taking us along with you.
When your at lake of the ozarks the bagnell dam spillway is a pretty cool place with some good fish. 👍 a lake of the ozarks video will be awesome 👌
Nice seeing you catch those big ones
A country mile is still a mile it just means that it’s a mile full of curves and hills not straight making it seem longer than a mile👍👍
Dude you are one of the BEST!
Nice gar. Nice tugs. Good day of creek fishing
Very cool
God bless brother🎣🎣
Great catch sir...awesome fish
Awesome gar.
Monsters and PPTV YESSSSS!
Been a long time since I've fished the Ozarks, there are GIANT catfish in that lake though. I used to run long lines with a friend of the family, I've seen a handful of 80lb class catfish. All I can say is good luck. I'm looking forward to those vids, the Ozarks is a part of my childhood I'll never forget.
Love you’re channel! And stuff!
Great spot, awesome catches! Loved that gar
Enjoy your fishing 🎣
My son is a senior this year and it has been a struggle to get him to school alllll the way through. He has anxiety and used to have separation anxiety when he was in elementary school. Best thing you can do is make her push through it. I babied my boy and he is now immensely behind in credits. Good luck Josh!
that was me. i didnt know i had anxiety till late highschool.
Sweet gar!
Cool deal on the gar, love the channel
Best line of the show...
There's something long and weird in there 😂🤣 that's what she said 👊🏽👊🏽
This scammer has a little pp
Bagnell dam is really good for blues, I’m not far from there at all. Grew up fishing the mighty mo too. The mouth of the lamine always produced quality fish for myself. Tight lines stash captain
Garfeeeeeeesh! Heckyea
Very nice
I've never had the chance to fish Lake of the Ozarks but I have heard it's amazing fishing. I hope to get there eventually. I think you'll have a great time out there. Definitely looking forward to seeing the videos from there.
Heck of a catch my guy she was a beast loved watching it swim close then take back off as your just talking lol I'd be so afraid of loosing it but you took your time and wore her out great catch great release
Hey stash man! What’s up? Hope all is well with boo and the little ones! I just had an idea for when your line of rods drop and it’s not something I really see often in the stores, but I think it would be pretty cool if in the description for each one you would add in what size reel you personally feel best fits each rod, as in for balance and all of those fun things. 🤷🏻♂️
Take it from a Missouri boy... longnose gar are the bane of a catfisherman's existence... just this week my son and I caught like 5 of them, 1 being 13 pounds, while flathead and blue fishing on the Muddy MO.
Great video! And yes, pretty common for kiddos to not want to go to school, especially with a new baby in the house.😊
Nice Cornhusker Slam Buddy!
another enjoyable video
A country mile is equal too 1.4 regular miles. Because everything in the country is bigger. Including our hot corn fed women 🤘😎
I can confirm on both counts. It can stretch to 1.6 if you are far enough from Main Street
Except the wait at the dentist
Boo is definitely a hot corn fed woman.
@@PigPatrolTV Fully agree and you are one lucky man. Rock on 🤘😎
@@PigPatrolTV you said it first! But I can’t disagree. Respectfully of course
You're quite possibly my favourite Nebraskan fishing youtuber! lol.
We catch longnose gar all the time at our local fishing pier. Gar and catfish are my favorite things to catch! So much fun. They fight so hard.
At the lake of the ozarks Fishing below bagnell dam on the osage river!! Usually always a decent bite. Cats, crappie, bass both large mouth and wipers I believe, a few sauger and skipjack I've caught them all below bagnell dam.
On the lake ozark side of the dam, lots of crappie, walleye, gar, catfish, white bass, hybrids, largies, spoonbill(outta season though). Truman and LOZ both great fisheries. I've got a good buddy that's a catfish guide on loz, He lives right there in Warsaw.
I think the gar are sweet. Nice catch!
Some hopefully helpful advice. If you fish the river side I'd make sure they're generating some water. Awesome videos keep it up!
I'm having the same issue with my nephew who lives with us, he's just starting kinder, so I tell him " bro u got a long way to go so u better start getting use to it"" seems to be getting better. Oh and he seems to take a liking to fishing
Yea I've tried that one, I think it makes it worse for Katie Kate as of late. Did work though.
@@PigPatrolTV what grade is she in again?? U know she probably just wants to be around the new baby and pops and boo
Hell yeah
Nice... coming to my neck of the woods. Truman Dam is always 🔥 no matter what. 1000s of fish at any time. I've been there and caught crappie by the 100s. Had a limit in under an hour. Just be safe, those trees can make it dangerous.
Bagnell dam good place
Many species means great fishing skillz , I love catching multiple species when I am out fishing .
Well that must have been kinda fun
Definitely copping a Stache Stick for creek missions🥵 me and BJ fishing this weekend in Nebraska!
Dealt with the fake sick quite a few times....then she'd puke and up her game. We just parked that same beautiful girl in college and she's amazing. It GOES SO DAMNED FAST...you've probably never heard that before, so mark this comment. LOL. Love the content all the way from Good ol' Houston Texas.
Nice catch on the m/h Stache Stick. I gotta get me one of those. I commented when you broke out the ultra light stache sticks that I would love to see a medium heavy and Bam there it is. Gotta have it.
I really like the way you lick the camera lenses Josh. It gives me chills. 😂 Thanks for the video you goofball!
Hey Dad! I always enjoy your material. You live the life I want.
Savor the life you have brother. You love your wife and kids and get to fish for a living. You found the secrets to a happy life. Im old, I know. Lol
Much love, God bless 🙏
I will do everything I can to hold on to what I have, plus some if I'm lucky! Take care!
@@PigPatrolTV Your a good man. You know what's important.
Absolutely broke me to make my daughters go to school...literally ripped my heart out but they got over it and I mostly did too haha
My go to for cats here at LOTO is Bluegill(live, or cut) and shrimp. Liver and Nightcrawlers are close second.
look like one of my spot up north Quebec ,nice run !
I see those damn cicadas are freaking popping up everywhere the last few weeks.
Haha, Truman is 15 min from me. Lots of good fishing bro. Or right on the other side of the dam is lake of the Ozarks, more great fishing.
You and Spencer like battling walking on ankle breakera to get to the fish. 🤣🤣
Lake of the Ozarks is my old stomp'n ground. Some Monster cats in that lake. Along with some decent sized bass!
Country mile is because the roads have so many twisty turny's a mile seems to take forever! LOL
Headquarters for swingers, cucks, and wife swapping.
LFG! Stuff and things!
I need a stache stickkkkkkk. Love the vids
Have the school battle every morning with my oldest. My youngest loves it but he's still young and has fun in his classes. Also, off subject but I just realized we have the same glasses haha.
The Missouri River is a great place for monster catfish!
In the dirty south country mile is over yonder thru the Holler and up the mountain!!!!
If you find yourself in warsaw missouri be sure to stop by codys bait and tackle. He is very knowledgeable of everything fishing in that area. You should also go back there in april for the spoonbill snagging season.
You never said what BOO'S answer was to a country mile. As I've always understood is that a country mile goes on for ever and ever meandering through the hills and hollers. YEEHAW !!!
Hell yeah! What’s up with the Stash Rods Bro!
Watch for bullying kids are little jerks sometimes. My son was “sick” a lot and he was being severely bullied. We got him into a charter school and he actually likes school now. He still doesn’t wanna go, be everyday he says he had a good day. As a parent that’s an amazing change
Use to be in the Woodhouse commercials. So using that logic 25ish miles in a country mile haha.
I used to wade for walleyes alot as a teen. I took colored electrical tape and put a wrap 15" up from the handle so I didn't have to fumble for a ruler. 😉
If your headed to the ozarks you should check out the White River in North Arkansas Killer Trout factory.
Everybody needs more water, rain, snow
You did good leaving @fullsend to start this fishing channel 😂
The stash man catching fish for the stash fam with the stash stick...that's 3 folks...a stash trick
Spiny are by far the most common. Gonna go out on a limb and say the less common is the Smooth SS. Probably a few subspecies or oddballs around.
If you make it to south dakota to the misouri I'd bring you out on my boat below the dam at pickstown lots of bass walleye and goldeye's in the fast water. I have sundays and Mondays to go fishing...
A country mile is what it seems like everytime you're reeling in a fish!! It takes you forever to land a fish lol!
Try below Bagwell Dam
Ok I think it’s been long enough. It’s about time for a catch and cook w a classic Josh 2 bite sandwich/taco devour!!!
You should do a catch and cook for goldeyes.
Indians used to use gars diamond shaped scales for arrowhead making.
dang man, Ive got creeks like this in oklahoma and this kind of fishing is the best.
Oklahoma is where it's at
@@dakotaspann5633 dude thats so true, I literally caught a small flathead on a little swimmer a while a go
God everyone knows a country mile is a mile and then some. Lol, love the content, keep it coming kid...
Nice northern. Lol
You should try the powerbait gully.
Come to Clinton mo it is 28 miles from Warsaw and the bite has been on you can literally walk down the lake and stop every 100-150 feet and catch fish every time you stop
JOSHUA!!!!! WHATS UP MY GUY ?!?!
❤️
It's about 2 and a half miles, not quite but almost give or take a few feet either way. ( Country mile)
Dude....you're coming to my neck of the woods (Lake of the Ozarks)....hopefully see you around
A country mile is 10 furlongs ( 2200 yards ) whereas a mile is 8 furlongs or ( 1760 yards ) A country mile is also called the Old English Mile, and the present mile has been the Statue Mile or London Mile.
Didn’t know Josh was so into Watersports with drumbuds
the tug is the drug
Had a “country mile” in high school for football which each lap you added an extremely heavy weight each time which obviously made it harder then a regular 8 minute miles
I fish bagnell dam all the time and Truman dam all the time catch a lot of fish here in both spots it would be badass to fish with you
Not sure what GoPro you have, but they do sell ND and polarizer filters for them. With the polarizer you can see into the water with the camera.
The bagnal dam near the lake of the ozarks is a good spot to find monster cat and gar and spoonbill
There are more than just those three species i caught a monster buffalo guy
Google basically said it's a very long way on a windy road for a mile LOL
Here in Virginia if you catch a turtle it’s only gonna be a snappy boy. And they get big and grumpy in these old tobacco ponds
what i was always told was a country mile is far as you can see from your house. so give or take a mile or 2
