      Yep, playing the guitar tells you everything you need to know. No need for my opinions. You can decide based on what you hear and see.🤘🤘

    • @markbetts

      @@scottydickerson5302 That is a sweet guitar. Reminds me of the Ibanez Destroyer. I haven’t played one but the specs look good and I have 4 Schecters that I think are awesome so yeah looks like a nice guitar. Sweetwaters got one for 999.00. Wow that’s pretty cheap for that one.

      Seems to be holding up pretty well. As long as you keep the trem lubed it plays great.

    That's totally badass looking guitar I use to have a black one just like it. They are pretty good guitars for the price. I like that red one I'm gonna get another one just like that one one day. How's the pick ups do you like them? Some jackson pick ups are great some not so great? What is your opinion of the pick ups?

    • @markbetts
      @markbetts  3 роки тому +1

      They are pretty good but I wouldn’t say great. I like the way it plays but I wish I would have spent a little more for the X series Kelly.

    • @patrickshannon122
      @patrickshannon122 3 роки тому

      @@markbetts is the x series Kelly bolt on neck or neck through? You could always put some Emg pick ups in. And I bet that would beef it up a little.

    • @markbetts
      @markbetts  3 роки тому

    I want to buy that guitar but I am still comparing it with Jackson JS32 Dinky is it better?

    • @markbetts
      @markbetts  4 роки тому +1

      I think they are probably about the same. The tremolo definitely needed some work on mine. Be careful what you buy. In this price range I think you are better off with a hard tail.

      @@markbetts I like the fine tuning of a FL so on my JS32 King V (same guitar, different shape) I just stabilised it to dive only.

    • @patrickshannon122
      @patrickshannon122 3 роки тому +1

      It's about the same but it doesn't matter to me I like both guitars. The Kelly has a more metal look to it. I have both guitars. Sound are nearly identical.

    • @patrickshannon122
      @patrickshannon122 3 роки тому +1

      Js32 dinky is nice and it's very good for the price. I got 3 different ones. I got one Jackson Kelly js 32. It's nice also I would probably get another Kelly all because I think it looks more metal like.

  • @paulux-_-joke4620
    @paulux-_-joke4620 Місяць тому

    do you need to retune it often ?

    • @markbetts
      @markbetts  Місяць тому

      When I first got it I did some work on the tremolo and it stayed in tune pretty good for a couple of years. If I don’t keep it lubricated and play it a lot it does have some issues with tuning. To be expected for this price point I guess.

    Was thinking to buy this or a JACKSON JS32T Rhoads AM White, intermediate player looking for a metal guitar. Suggestions?

    • @markbetts
      @markbetts  Рік тому

      I’d say they are both about the same. I would suggest you get a hard tail if you buy one of these as the cheaper tremolos don’t stay in tune very well. You might look at Harley Benton. They make some pretty good guitars for cheap.

    how is the floyd on that thing? does it stay in tune good when dive bombing?

    • @markbetts
      @markbetts  2 роки тому +1

      It was good when I first got it but now not so much. The Floyd “Special” or “1000” just don’t hold up as well as the original. Once I lubed it up and got everything moving smoothly again it worked good for a while but not for very long. So yeah, not a fan of the cheapo Floyds.
