This was fantastic. I know you mentioned maybe being unsure of not explaining enough but with so many people spamming Anki decks for content, even this explanation clears up so much about the immune response. It's incredibly hard to memorize stuff about immunity when the card doesn't even explain what MHC is.
This is great, love videos that are shorter with very specific information but have unique and fun stories or ways of thinking about things - ie. I will definitely visualize a party hat when going through practice questions.
You make everything so easy to digest and understand. I will try to apply this knowledge, and watch some of your walkthrough videos next and see if it helps. Thanks a bunch!!!! Also, this is PERFECT. We don't need fancy graphics, nor unnecessary details for the test. I think the short, sweet, simple to understand but comprehensive method is exactly exactly exactly what I've always needed. I feel so much more confident once i've got these down, and I can work on making further connections myself as I study beyond the mcat.
Thank you for another wonderful video! I got overwhelmed going through the immune system chapter in the Kaplan book because there was so much vocabulary to learn from all of the different types of cells, but this video really helped boil it down.
This was so helpful!! Thank you so much!! I was struggling with this hard. This is straight to the point on what we need to know for the MCAT compared to class notes, random youtube videos, and the Kaplan books.
i would really appreciate more practice questions along with more flowchart examples that correlate with your thought process while attacking a passage. Great videos!
Had to like and subscribe because your explanations are SO HELPFUL! Please please do more teaching videos on high-yield C/P and B/B topics! And hoping in the future you guys make videos for MLE steps 1 & 2 😉😁
The only thing I don't get is, macrophages are innate cells but they are antigen presenting cells? So antigen presenting cells are part of both the innate and adaptive immune systems?
appreciate your work so much. i really loved the antigen as a birthday hat analogy - that's gonna stick (no pun intended). so many blessings :) also ur sister and you are so beautiful omg! :0
Yeah I bought it. I think it really helped me put everything together conceptually. Cause there's some things that I knew from Anki cards, but not really how it came together as a concept. Also to make sure I really understood the basics. I really recommend it !
No, I decided not to publish it yet after I had filmed the video! I'm adding a little easter egg with the book to make it well worth the read and it's just taking a minute!

“Hopefully that’s not a surprise to you that we’re born with skin but if it is… make a flash card of it 🤷” 😂😂😂

Do we need to know the specific classes of antibodies for the mcat? i.e IgM, IgG etc.
Meh, not really. I’d just know IgM = early infection, IgG = has had that infection in the past
Just bought to book, thank you for making it!❤
this was so sooo helpful, especially the mnemonics. Where do we go to buy the high-yield document from IFD?
All our products are available here!!! www.informingfuturedoctors.com/shop
