Which is.. not worth it due to the lack of Type 2 vs 500 Type 3, so back to Endor we go.
A: The gap between the 22.5m crate and the 67.5m crate is fk'ing ridiculous and needs to be addressed and altered
B: If CG is gonna be this gatekeeping on a new raid, we at least need to be able to still get like half the mk3's doing the old raid

Have to follow the flow of the game.
GA/TW shifts every 3 months, raid every 12.
They're only introducing a handful of characters annually roughly 1 per month, sometimes less or more depending on release cycle.
Shifting all crystal gains into the new marquee/weekly shop keeps pace.
TB with bonus planets is more than enough to supply them. Just have to get in pattern.

Leia was somewhat farmable by the wider playerbase for Endor. Jabba was farmable for Krayt. The problem for this raid is Jar Jar is a rotation character. Quadme team isn't fully farmable yet and CG want to nerf the B2 team.

It's not as good at r5 and below and they're trying to force people to invest. If they cut it off, people will just ignore the separatist faction as a whole, as they have been for years.

90% of new players are going to get stuck on the sith raid. So it's not really for them
So build raid teams. Dark side team and GR Jedi are two solid raid teams for Naboo and accessible to all players, no legendaries or conquest toons required.

It's so strange to me. The original 3 raids had absolutely no character restrictions, they just designed them in such a way that you need specific kinds of teams to do well in them.
Then the Krayt dragon raid came out and you were restricted but to specific tags, not specific characters. You could use all hutt cartel, all mandalorians, all old republic, all jawas and all tuskens.
Then came endor, and they restricted it to only specific characters who would/could have been there in-lore, but I assumed that this was due to the fact that they had to make a new endor version of each character so they didn't want to put the effort into making a speeder kit for every single rebel
Now we have naboo, and they decided to keep the specific character restrictions and went so hard with it that the characters you need to use are either brand new and not easily accessible to F2P players, or they are characters that are so old and bad that only veteran players will have geared them up.
I could easily gear up enough characters to have 2-3 good teams for this raid, but by the time I do it'll be almost time to move onto the next one and I'll be kicking myself for having relic'd maul, sidious, luminara, kit fisto and consular because I just won't find any use for them elsewhere.
And even if I did consider those characters to be a worthwhile investment I won't make the difference for my guild being able to do well in this raid. I'd have to convince many other guild members to also invest in them and that's just not gonna happen.
maul and sidious at least are GL requirements so at least they move you towards a GL but yeah overall the characters here are complete trash.

Whats crazy is that they could fix or at least ALEIVATE the problem in many ways.
1. As mentioned in the video, just make the dang thing a bit easier. Enemies have less health, change up the commander modifiers, make them not heal so dang much, something
2. Add more characters...... Do they think we would feel betrayed if they did this? Like i wouldn tbe upset if they added in characters that werent "there" just to help fix the problem. We all know Plo Koon or Lumi wasn't fighting in the dang battle for naboo, whats to hurt adding OG ahsoka, GK, GAS, or something of the sort?
3. Up the rewards per box. Krayt came out about 16 months ago.....and we are still on the same amount of raid currency income structure. Its going to be a constant problem for guild of all sizes. Guilds spend months ant months getting to a higher box (possibly max box), just to get pushed back several guild boxes in 8-9 months. Would it be a crime to just add a bit more get 3, or flat out have 1 aeromag at box 1, 2 at box 3, 5 at max crate? I dont think that will break the economy...
And this is coming from a person who scored 9.1mil on raid attempt 1, but who is in a guild that dropped from 424mil endor box to 130 naboo box.
I think this raid sucks ass. I even bought the lightspeed bundles to stand a chance and my scores suck. I spent 2 hours trying to get the max score possible and I couldn't get anything close to the last raid. If I hadn't bought the lightspeed bundles I wouldn't have been able to get almost any rewards at all. Their strategy of forcing you to pay money to be able to participate in the new raids that rotate every 6 months is quickly turning me off from the game and I've played it daily for almost 4 years now.

I don't understand why they didn't put someone like JKA, GK or CW Padme into the pool of usable units too. Sure it would make no sense from a lore perspective but nither does Giddeon, Stark or Veers in the Endor raid.
I'm also convinced that nobody at CG ever playtested the Naboo raid with units weaker then R5, when an R5 GMY with over 7k special offence barely removes 1/4 of the protection on enemies in the stage intended for G8-11 units you know something is wrong. When a G10 Windu is barely able to take 2 turns before being defeated you know something is wrong. When a 4-man-team of G12 droids struggles to get over 100k in the stage intended for G8-11 units you know something is wrong.
I think CG should either rebalance lower tiers by lowering the HP / the amount of bonus attacks on the enemies, or add a few other units that are a little more accesible.
If they don't do anything to the raid it will end up as the least played raid, since the krait raid at least had Revan requirements and Boba as usable units.
The lore aspect has always been half hearted at best and restricted to a few toons...then just make players gear up a lot of useless toons to waste their cash and spend on the game.
Its also incredibly demoralizing to score 10-100k in this raid, right after scoring millions in Endor
I feel that in my loins. Went from being top 10 on my teams raid scores to now I have a single team that can maybe get me 100-120k. Depressing.

Not just that but the time and effort to get a lot lower score angers me. I expected some time to adjust but not so much time playing each round with lower toons.
Don't forget the big loss on personnal rewards too.
I went from 1.6 million personnal rewards box, to *nothing*.
It wouldnt feel nearly as bad if we received the rewards were used to, but missed out on some new currency. This is one of the biggest problems with this raid format. The old format just added rewards so it always felt good
From a late game player perspective - if a raid is only going to last 7,8,9 months then all the required units NEED to be readily available day 1 of launch. No exceptions. The situation with Jar Jar and the QA team is frankly ridiculous and more noise needs to be made about it.
Almost makes it pointless trying to gear up some of the units. May as well skip and keep your focus on whatever else you're gearing up. This raid is a joke.

Jar Jar isn't coming back until August so that team is non-functional except at low level until then
Which leaves the Lumi and Seperatist teams, which I've already farmed, so tbh, once Jar Jar's back, that's all the farming I'm doing for this raid, I'll be scoring over 2M and that's all I need to do to meet guild targets so not pushing any further, completely disincentivised me to farm any tough toons. I may still get KB for BKM but not going to gear anything else unless aiming for requirement
@@Boomer2k6 I gave up on KAM years ago. My guild took a while to be able to actually make good progress in the light side Geo TB so unlocked him late. Then the RotE TB came so we never went back to that Geo TB. There's better characters to spend guild currency on, he's just not worth it.

This is sadly exactly what we called would happen when GL'S were first announced, the Kylo and Rey ones. That what would happen was that events would have to be balanced for GL and relics, which would cripple newer or lower power accounts

They should’ve just made the raid accessible to factions instead of specific characters. Krayt Raid was faction specific even though some of those factions never dealt with the Krayt Dragon. Making Naboo open to Seps, Galactic Republic, and Gungans would’ve been a lot more accessible.
Could have gone all GR minus clone troopers, and all separatists minus Geonosians, and it still would have been a lot more accessible.
Spot on. I like the idea of the raid, as a newer account, I feel worthless and it's a kick in the spacebawls.
It's getting harder and harder to keep interest in the game. Lucky for me I have whales in my guild dragging me along for the ride.
The first tier is crazy. Historically, you would be able to at least nibble at the raid, and get some points. Here, you will take 5 minutes to kill one droid for 5k score, unless you got a coherent team which takes advantage of the raid modifiers. Even in cpit, could just throw a team at it and get a few 100ks of points...
I think CG has missed the mark with these past Raids. What happened to the character unlocks thru raids? I miss those. Make Raids Fun Again (MRFA)!
They moved them to conquest (actual statement from the forums). I both agree and disagree with it

The LSB packs are a guaranteed money maker like those crystal and relic packs. So strange they don’t opt to keep them in the store until you buy them (or don’t, but still have them there).

This whole raid would be fine if they just made all the other normal GR stuff everyone has in the raid but NOOOOOO!
I'm pretty sure this is intentional. They knew people will be upset at this extreme difference. Then they will follow it up with an apology and an incremental improvement-which everyone will thank them for and forget that it's still worse than before.
I like how they acknowledge the new player experience sucked, put forth some effort to improve it, and then immediately drop an update in which new players can’t possibly participate in
Speaking as an officer another issue I find is that this raid is FAR more effort incentive to get good scores, if you don't remod then scores took a drastic hit.
Comapre that too Endor where you can optimise but you can use standard mods, you relaibly get 80% score or even 50% on full auto.
So it's likely gonna be a struggle to get the average joe guild member to really try and get the same rewards you perivously got.
I think a good fix for this change would be allowing all galactic republic, separatists, and jedi, or even just all galactic republic and seps. they could also bring back mk3 for endor raid but halve it

This is just sad. CG actually made a Raid that does everything right, and they still find a way to ruin it. The accessibility is not friendly for free-to-play, & by the time they actually unlocked the required characters, it’ll already be replaced with another! What’s the point of keeping the old raids if they’re not going to be relevant anymore? I get why they’re replacing them, but it still ruins the experience in the game.
the old raids are basically dead let us play them for nothing or new currency play them kinda miss them was fun trying new teams but sacrificing raid currency for old raids not gonna happen

Yeah, my guild was previously almost hitting the fourth crate, we now barely made first. The only reason I was able to do anything at all is because I went after Gungans, which was a decision I made purely because I love Gungans, not because it makes any sense for my account.
this problem would probably be fixed, if they announced the required characters sooner. Guilds could've planned and farmed for the raid, but you just cant get a conquest character or gungans running in about a Month

It’s not a good time. My guild was getting the 424mil crate in Endor. No where near the rewards for Naboo Raid. The character selection is piss poor and the raid itself is not fun. The tier 1 and 2 are absolutely ridiculous.
Also, WTF are Guardian and Counselor there? At least use characters that are somewhat useful.
Counselor has a ship and has a healer tag so he can be used as a leader.
The fact we only have 1 healer leader with an actual lead is not okay

So build raid teams for Naboo. You can't seriously expect to hit the same score in the new raid as the previous raid without working on new raid teams.

You gotta give it to CG though not only did they replicate Battle for Naboo flawlessly, they also managed to replicate the backlash against The Phantom Menace when it came out in theaters……
I think the issue with the raid is just the required teams not being enough for lesser accounts and guilds. You NEED Quadme and Gungans if you want a decent score. If you don't try in conquest right now to get her, you lose out on one crucial character. Gungans and new Jedi require a ton of Kyros and that's a huge pivot for players already working on other projects. My guild is advocating for us to reach 2.5mil score per player by the time the raid ends, but I don't see us getting to that point because unlike Endor or even Krayt, too many are either useless outside of the raid so you have to pick and choose to work on the raid or not, or they are expensive investments that aren't beneficial once the raid ends outside of Gungans and Quadme. The raid could really benefit from some # tweaks on damage and score + maybe adding some more characters to be available. Why can't we use Ima-Gun-Di or even Bariss?
I think what new raids need is a feature that allows ALL characters (maybe no GL's unless they're a focus on the raid like Leia) but have the benefits like in the Naboo raid for specific teams and not specific characters. Maybe non related teams get .5 of the score? If that's the case then I'd be willing to participate more because it's giving me options rather than requirements. When locking the rewards behind a raid "chase", you're really running with bigger blindsides if you are focusing on other parts of the game unless you are already big spending.

Raid rewards, galactic challenges becoming ridiculously hard they've effectively halved the omicron drop rate, dathomir con job, and datacons. Its like they're trying to kill this game now

I wish CG would make the MK3 currency available in all the new raids (Krayt, Endor, and Naboo). Let the guilds choose which path they want to take in regards to farming for raids instead of moving the bottleneck every few months.
I just got off of a 7 day cruise. My mind is blown with all of the updates in one week🤯
I run a 330m free to play/dolphin Guild. We're going to hit 14,5m crate in this first raid and I spoke with my co-leader about the raid yesterday in Voice chat and the difference with Endor.
This raid, as cool as it is visually, is gatekeeping the F2P players A LOT and since MQGJ is not even farmable yet, without mentioning the Jar Jar situation we we're very puzzled on why they even realeased it yet if only the Whales are able to actually participate properly considering how the "cheap team" of Seps requires R8 across the board for the enrage stuff to work.
We're content on having the first raid with 14,5m crate, but in order to get the 22,5m one, we need to have our biggest members to invest to the game for the Guilds sake so we can reach it and by the time the next one will roll out, we should have enough to handle that, but it's still the same what we got from Endor by just throwing in teams and pressing full auto.
It's certainly de-motivating, especially for the lower GP members who didn't buy the LSB Jedi's and don't have teams for it, so we literally have to direct people to build up Gungans instead of Inquisitors for Reva shards, which we finally are getting some of. It's either or situation and the Guild can't grow if we don't get the raid rewards as we used to.
CG needs to bring it down a notch or this will kill the lower GP Guilds and the whole free to play/dolphin aspect of the game completely.
The guild for my new F2P account went from 3rd box, halfway to 4th box on Endor, to NO box in this. We get NOTHING. We’re 215 million and can’t get any raid rewards. Just lost out on 180K tickets. This feels like an ambush and I wish we would have just not even tried it. They need to nerf the enemies in the first two levels and also give us a make-good for guilds who got zero rewards trying out this new raid unawares.
I feel like CG is cheating us, so I wouldn’t min cheating in PVE. I just wish I could convince my guild to be on board with it
Kinda mad at myself, I geared up master Qui gon, obi wan, and kel beq just to realize you need them at 5 stars or up

I unlocked and R7 GL Leigh on the very last Endor Raid. I finally crossed the finish line to having the best character for the raid and now its on to hurrying up and farming Gungans.
I WISH my rewards were simply cut in half. Instead, they were multiplied by 0 :(
This raid is the definition of putting lipstick on a pig. So what if it finally looks good if everything else about it are crap
The difficulty is too high. Endor and krayt you could at the very least toss in a mismatched team of sub g12 to get some points. You toss in a team of r5 mismatched and you can't kill a single droid at base difficulty. That being said the deficit between raids hurt the whale guilds a lot more than mid range guilds. We get less personal rewards but the guild payout is about the same.
This is the exact reason I went so hard into gungans (also the memes). I’m about to be finished with my last Jar jar requirement and then I am going to focus hard on the queen amidala team which is mostly finished. Gotta drag my guild to better rewards if possible.
yeah in Endor my guild was almost at the 4th crate by the time it ended, now with a day left in our first on with naboo we’re only halfway between the first and second
I get the character pool, it is all the characters that were around during this battle in the movies. Not that they were in the Phantom Menace but timeline wise, they were around in some way. A Jedi Master Dooku, capt Panaka, other separitist leader with Gunray, and a pilot Anakin as easily accessible characters to be added would be nice but it seems too late now.
Still better than being forced to watch an episode of the acolyte next to reylos lol
The other problem with this raid is thet the lowest level enemies are still g13. Lower those down to like g9-10 and a lot more guilds could get rewards
I checked that my guild hadn’t started yet because we had a very late Endor raid and only started Naboo yesterday. You should run that poll again in a couple weeks. I’ll be curious to see what happens.
They need to just let us pick a raid to play for all rewards. If people want to farm up for Krayt, let them.
our guild can't even reach the bronze crate now, so no tier 3 for us... this is a one and done raid for us.
I think the difficulty of achieving the third crate is being blown out of proportion. Bear with me...
Luminara w/ Zeta & Kit Fisto basically carry one of the teams. Get 3 other random decent Jedi that you probably already had lying around, take them all to R5, and boom... 900k score with mediocre mods and maybe a couple retries.
"All you have to do", as a guild, is require every single person to go get Luminara, toss a zeta on her, and Kit Fisto, use 3 other Jedi they probably already had lying around... 900kx50 = 45M. With a single team. Blowing 3rd crate out of the water.
Now add in a bunch of people in the guild who already have some droids/seps/maul/sidious lying around. Let's say they're not even modded well. Cool, drop it down to Difficulty lv1 and get 450k points, conservatively. Let's say half the guild (25 members) can do that without really any investment at all. Boom, another 11.25M.
Now you're sitting at 56.25MM... coming up on 4th crate. Toss in 5 whales / people who just really liked Gungans who can EASILY max the 1.8MM tier each, giving another 9MM. 65.25MM.
I get that it's not "convenient" but we need to also acknowledge that Endor may have spoiled us in that 1) its character requirements involved a lot of toons tons of people alreadyt had and 2) you could achieve reasonable scores on full auto even with crap teams. Endor, if anything, was easier than what we were used to.
I know its not likely, but what if CG removed the unit restrictions for these new raids on the lowest difficulty? It would scratch people’s itch that wish they could use their more fun teams like back in the legacy raid days, it would be more new player friendly, and I imagine even if people could max out all 5 of their attempts in the lowest tier, that still wouldn’t be such a large difference to prevent people from wanting to build up the raid specific units as well to improve their score. Thoughts?
They need to add a way to convert the MK1 and 2 currencies for MK3 if they're going to screw everyone over with moving rewards or cutting them to half constantly. Not everyone's gonna be able or want to do these raids.
There are definitely issues to be fixed, but I think the panic is being WAY overstated. The raid is new and people still have no idea what they’re doing.
I took some time and experimented with different comps and modding during our raid run, and I was able to score 2M with only two teams:
1) Darth Maul, Sidious, B1, Magna, Nute
2) Luminara, Kit, Shaak, Plo, Koon
My initially attempts were much, much lower. But these are two VERY accessible teams that I’m confident could max out the R7 tier, so that’s 3.6M right there without ANY new characters at all, and not dependent on B2 lead. That’s still a slight dip from last raid (I need to get to 4.2M to match Endor), but much better than what people are currently experiencing, and very achievable by a lot of people.
Might want to redo that poll, our guild did get off a final Endor that was still up when the poll came out, I think any guild that got another in won’t start Naboo for another day or two.
Getting Wat and KAM shards went from 10 months to like 2 years with the MARK3 Currency.
Played since like 2016 but didn’t get Wat or KAM when they came out now getting GL Kenobi just became 10x harder just because Wat is so hard to get. It’s hard to convince guild leaders to go back to Geo TB when ROTE has so much better rewards. They really need to make the old TB characters easier to get but this Naboo raid just made it even harder
I will never enjoy content that doesn't let us use whatever we want.
Something else that could work: allow tier 0 to be *any toons*, while higher tiers require specifics. That should put the 67.5 mil crate within reach for many guilds, and be able to push for more once you can get into the specific teams for the higher tiers.
My guild is dying. We haven't had a new member join in more than 2 months. I don't know if it is swgoh itself or if it is just our server.
I really hate that when cg added the speeder bike raid they combined all the raid tokens into one pool. That cut our raiding ability down by three quarters. We don't even have enough tokens to try the Naboo raid yet. Not that we will. We'll stay with the Speeder raid.
My guild went from getting about 60m in the endor raid to not even getting first crate here, feel massively punished for not having what is essentially a pair of pay to win teams. Even with the B2 "operating better than intended" I'm lucky to get half the maximum score on the R5 tier. I think it's insane that so many people are struggling and CG are like "we should nerf one of the easily accessible units that is performing well in this raid"
This is what they need to do:
- Nerf the NPC’s in the raid
- Buff the points you get for actions in the raid (defeating, dodging, space abilities, etc.)
There. That’s all they need to do.
A simple fix in my opinion (although unlikely) is add the basic padme team with JKA, GK, 3P0. That would at least add one more team that a lot of people have at higher gear levels/relics
I was the only person in my guild to hit over 1 million. We did not even hit the first reward crate. Going back to endor next go around
Raids are the game mode equivalent of datacrons, temporary power/whaling

Requirements aside, with the Endor Raid I was able to make multiple runs on auto in like 15-20 min. For the Naboo Raid I've bought the LSB and with the LSB Jedi + Yoda it took me over 2h to get a max run on manual. The Jedi team is especially requiring good RNG because of the CONDITIONAL 40% counter chance. And it was just that, waiting 2h for good RNG. Extremely frustating. The ovarall Raid is pretty cool but the requirements and the gameplay experience are just the worst. As Ahanald said, the first tier is also too difficult. Like I can't even get a score with my leftovers, besides the harsh requirements, this further lowers the rewards...
The simple fact that they pulled the MKIII's out of the Speeder Bike raid completely, after so many worked really hard to build all of the necessary guys to relic 3 and higher. It's extremely frustrating. I am highly considering quitting, and so are many others. It's basically evil and greedy. Force people to build very specific characters, only to make it obsolete if you want the MKIII's. Now waste your time and money on building these new guys, and in the future, we'll make that obsolete too, and force you to build others. It's the guide book for greed and evil. Disney is horrible.
Wasn't Tier 0 meant to be a G12 entry point on the original post? Wondering if that was the intention, they lowered it so people could enter with less but the difficulty remained.
The points everyone in my guild is getting on Naboo is 1/10 of what they got on Endor: We went from the T3 box on Endor to no rewards (6m) on Naboo. We'll just go back to Endor, so we can at least get some G12/13 materials again.
The majority of my guild is FTP. We planned as soon as Naboo was announced.
We started the Endor raid this time before the update to skip the first Naboo so we got the max amount of MKIII before we try Naboo.
We made it a guild directive to get Gungans ready by August for Jar Jar and to try to get POW and MQGJ as far as possible. We also require Conquest toons within 6.
Will we get a comparable crate in Naboo right away? No. But we’re very organized and will get there.
I feel like a lot of people didn’t plan ahead. BUT, you are right about new players/guilds. They got the shaft.
I am sorry but the fact you need to change your whole farming strategy for a raid that will be around for 6-8 months is insane. If my guild said that I would give them the two finger salute and move on because that is just wasteful for years of grinding especially when gac is arguably the most resource valuable mode in the game due to crystal economy.
Unfortunately our guild is stuck on Geonosis right now and still cant clear final stage traya raid.
But i can feel the frustration.
It feels like CG made the character requirements for this raid as annoying as possible. You have gungans which are a slow farm rn. Jar jar which is a rotating event(I miss the old legendary character events). And you have a ton of shitty galactic republic Jedi most people don’t have. This raid just seems inaccessible to like 70% of the playerbase.

I like the idea of rotating the raids because like you said it gives us a return on investing these characters that are made specifically for the raids. Also for people that did apply the raid omicrons, it doesn't feel like they wasted resources. Datacrons are something that have a limited shelf-life and if people want to spend money on em then that's their perogative, but for omicrons, that are permanent, have a limited time use, it's just absurd. Putting these raids on a rotation allows for more people to invest in these characters due to the reoccurring use of said characters, but also not put people in a corner and force them to not apply the omis. If people want the freedom to be able to apply the raid omis then they should have every right to and not have it stripped away because as this current system is, no one would go to such lengths to waste resources like that on something that has a limited use.
