If Activision is properly dissolved, and its executives properly liquidated, then we'll see the possible chance for Starcraft III. And if there ever IS a Starcraft III, I'd like to see more races. After all, the original drafts had plans for "space vampires" (possibly a nod to the Dark Eldar) and "Independent" Terrans, so the possibility of expanding beyond the big three is still there. It worked for Warcraft 3, after all, since they added the Undead and Night Elves to a game that was originally just Orcs and Humans, and each of them were pretty distinct.
I want to play as the new UED Admiral sent to retake the sector, but years after SC2. You make alliances, trade resources, take what you want, and you shape the fate of the sector or doom all.
@@StarboyXL9 I was talking about the ORIGINAL original Starcraft. In the earlier design doc, there were space vampires which had been transplanted from an earlier Blizzard project called "Bloodlines", aspects of which went on to form the basis of Starcraft. Though I will admit that the Tal'Darim do have certain Dark Eldar aspects. And with that said, while the Nerazim (Dark Templar) were initially thought to fill that role, if anything they are more like the Exodites/Wood Elves of Starcraft, with a light touch of Dark Eldar/Dark Elf to them.

Fellow Terrans, I come to you in the wake of recent events to issue a call to reason. Let no human deny the perils of our time. While we battle one another, divided by the petty strife of our common history, the tide of a greater conflict is turning against us, threatening to destroy all that we have accomplished. It is time for us as nations and as individuals to set aside our long-standing feuds and unite. The tides of an unwinnable war are upon us, and we must seek refuge upon higher ground, lest we be swept away by the flood. The Confederacy is no more! Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once provided is a phantom, a memory. With our enemies left unchecked, who will you turn to for protection? The devastation wrought by the alien invaders is self-evident. We have seen our homes and communities destroyed by the calculated blows of the Protoss. We have seen first hand our friends and loved ones consumed by the nightmarish Zerg. Unprecedented and unimaginable though they may be, these are the signs of our time. The time has come, my fellow Terrans, to rally to a new banner. In unity lies strength; already many of the dissident factions have joined us. Out of the many we shall forge an indivisible whole capitulating only to a single throne, and from that throne I shall watch over you. From this day forward let no human make war upon any other human, let no Terran agency conspire against this new beginning, and let no man consort with alien powers, and to all the enemies of humanity: seek not to bar our way, for we shall win through, no matter the cost! - The coronation of Arcturus I, Emperor of the Terran Dominion circa 2499

Far more likely, the UED will finally bother to send a second expedition fleet out to take the place over. Given their vast territory and immense military might, this might make for an interesting "what happens next" story, one that is not so damn over-the-top that it grants "redemption" to the worst mass-murderess known to the Human species.
Eh, to be fair; the UED came in at the most convenient time for them The Overmind was just killed so the Zerg swarms are in shatters or fighting amongst themselves The Protoss just lost Aiur and many of its key members from a Civil War / Kerrigan's scheming The Terran Confederacy was overthrown not long ago and the Dominion is still building up, also lost it's highest ranking General Fuck knows what happened with Umoja, but we know the Kel Morians got raided for money at some point The UED isnt all that stronger in comparison. Sure, they brought in some tech with Medics and Valkyries, kidnapped the third Overmind, but that's pretty much it
@@CallsignYukiMizuki The UED's predecessor government was already a strong power when the colony-ships was sent out, and you hear in this video how long they took to establish themselves already. The UED was formed when the Terrans in the Earth sector observed the events with the Zerg and Protoss, and by the time they sent their expedition fleet, they had CENTURIES of exploration, colonisation and industry over the Terrans, not to mention no serious wars in their own space. Well, that we know of. Assuming the UED don't have their own issues to deal with at home, they would also have a massive population benefit, as theirs grew unchecked from the start while the Terrans needed time in their colony ships, building up the 13 colonies, and dealing with massive casualties from the likes of the Zerg and Kerrigan. Kerrigan ALONE killed billions of Terrans, and the Protoss did not fare to nicely in the war with Amon either. Sending a new invasion force right after the war with Amon ended would be another perfect time to strike, ESPECIALLY as the key figure that defeated them last time, Kerrigan, is no longer around.
It would be really cool to see a potential Star Craft 3 open with the UED returning this time in its full, Earthborne might considering that according to lore the Human power and government from Earth is of a massive and authoritarian scale.

I'd recommend having a read of the old Starcraft 1 manual, regardless of whether or not you intend on playing it (I'm not sure if the digital version comes with one or not). While the game itself has some excellent world building and storytelling, like other games of it's era, most of the background is in the manual. It certainly fired the imagination of my younger self.
Having played Sup Com (and FA), let me tell you that it's a lot faster paced and far more asymmetrically balanced. The Originals and Brood War is free along with Wings of Liberty at Battlenet

UED: "We have come to try and take control again!" Dominion: "We helped the Queen of Blades and the Protoss kill a literal god." UED: "We need a new plan here."
"Worlds that were once desolate wastelands bloomed anew." You can thank Overqueen Zagara of the Zerg Swarm for that. She saw you weak bipedal races struggling with famine, lack of food supply, and disastrous reconstruction efforts, so she decided to use Kerrigan's gifts that were only meant for the Zerg to help the lot of you as a gesture of peace. Though one of them did nearly screwed it over and nearly started another war, rather than investigate and not jump to conclusions like a bloody fool.
I know that this may be a rather unknown series and not as famous, but I would really like you guys to take a look at the factions of Earth 2150, particularly the Eurasian Dynasty and the Unitided Civilized States, who actually got some backstory to them in the game manuals that can be found around the net
Why would I want to die in bed as "I long for combat" "In my day I had to teleport up hill through the forest just to get to school" "I AM ONE with the darkness!" "(crashing sound, then softly) Ouch...that hurt..."
"You speak of knowledge, Judicator? You speak of experience? I have journeyed through the darkness between the most distant stars. I have beheld the births of negative-suns and borne witness to the entropy of entire realities... Unto my experience, Aldaris, all that you've built here on Aiur is but a fleeting dream. A dream from which your precious Conclave shall awaken, finding themselves drowned in a greater nightmare."
My favorite factions in the starcraft lore are The Confederacy , the United Earth Directorate and the Tal'darim (From SC2 legacy of the void). What's all of your guys favorite faction?
@@CallsignYukiMizuki I agree, they really should have more attention since they actually seem like cool factions in starcraft. But it would be cool to also see the UED again, but that's my opinion
@@TheRezro Well - the point of Admiral DuGalle´s fleet was to pacify Zerg and Protoss... which well - would have worked nicely with the Zerg... and was bit over ambitious with the Protoss... but technically zerg did the job for them.
Here are some suggestions for what I'd like to see be covered in future videos: - United Citizen Federation from Starship Troopers - Foxhound from Metal Gear Solid - CHOAM from Dune - Mandalorian Empire from Star Wars - Principality of Zeon from Mobile Suit Gundam - Ingsoc from 1984 - Holy Britanian Empire from Code Geass - Umbrella Corporation from Resident Evil - NERV from Neon Genesis Evangelion (It's on Netflix now!) - Ferengi Alliance from Star Trek - Hellsing Organization from Hellsing Ultimate - Colonial Marines from Alien Versus Predator - BPRD from Hellboy - Band of the Hawk from Berserk - Autobots from Transformers - Draconis Combine from BattleTech - XCOM from XCOM
I'm not holding my breath. I mean, I'd love to be proven wrong, but Blizzard took twelve years between Brood War and Wings of Liberty, and that was when they only had Warcraft 3 and WoW to juggle, and of those, only WoW needed any sort of regular updates after release.
I'd rather wait 10 years for a Starcraft 3 when new technologies can be developed. As it stands, a Starcraft 3 will not have a lot to bring new to the table. The massive jump from BW to SC2 when it comes to technology and mechanics were pretty huge
Lol. Köprülü basically means “ Bridged “ or “ With a bridge “ in Turkish. Very veery similar name to some of our places and persons in history here. Wonder what brought the name Koprulu?
How about some of the Farscape species? Delvians? Pilots? Scarrans? I doubt you could use Leviathans cause there's so little information about them....
Idk if theres enough info out there. But id be very interested to see a series breaking down as much lore as is available on each of the planets. But i dont imagine theres that much lore to find.
As an anime fan, it would be great if you could make a video about the following, but I can only hope. (Sorry for bad english) Holy Brittanian Empire (Code Geass) Eldia or Marley (Attack on Titan) Armestis (Fullmetal Alchemist)
StarCraft and StarCraft Brood War had brilliant storylines. Even though they never described the world in the same degree of detail as, let's say, Mass Effect, they created a grim, believable sci-fi setting. SC2: Wings of Liberty was decent, but Blizzard butchered the franchise with HotS and LotV, turning it into some fairytale-like science fantasy.
The individual games themselves on their own were pretty great! The lore and story starts to get jumbled up when you piece them together though. -Starcraft / BW had a nice sense of urgency into it. The Koprulu Sector felt much smaller and thus, the Zerg / Protoss threat felt very real and claustrophobic -WoL felt good when it comes to campaign mechanics and replayability, though I wish there were more of the Agrian missions (particularly The Evacuation) since that really did the theme and atmosphere right -HotS was a big change, but honestly? It was a nice redemption/love story. Also ua-cam.com/video/-iYzuc_gM9U/v-deo.html -LotV was admittedly a bit of a dissapointment, but they did improve upon campaign mechanics. I think the reason just comes down to how Hybrids feel far less of a threat and more of a glorified end game unit. See how hybrids were introduced in WoL's secret mission. You literally can't kill it!
Couldn’t agree more. They also turned mengsk from an intelligent and interesting villain into generic evil dictator number 3 who is incompetent as hell.
Sooo, was the Lore retconned? I remember the colony ships being filled with all of earth's "undesirables" and basically exiling them to as far as their ships could take them.
More of something for March 32nd. Much like the movie “Battleship”, make one based off of the board game “Risk”. Make it more of a Science Fantasy involving a reacquisition invasion of Angeloids & Demonoids; Heaven & Hell and the people of earth, with all the human chimera as far back as the Mesopotamian myths of creation, is the “third neutral player” that decides to fight back. Eventually, the Angels Fall & so do the Demons; the people of earth also splits based of how forgiving and/or unforgiving they are to the invaders. And eventually, Heaven & Hell is defeated, but the are stragglers & survivors of this conflict.
Really hope Starcraft sees a continuation in whatever media form, really too good of a universe to simply let it fade away.

Finally! I was looking forward for you guys to create another vid about starcraft. Looking forward for more 😁 more power to you guys! 🤘
warp field stabilized.
I know that this may be a rather unknown series and not as famous, but I would really like you guys to take a look at the factions of Earth 2150, particularly the Eurasian Dynasty and the Unitided Civilized States, who actually got some backstory to them in the game manuals that can be found around the net
I may not of heard of this franchise, but I agree with you 100% that they should do a video on it.
Why would I want to die in bed as "I long for combat"
"In my day I had to teleport up hill through the forest just to get to school"
"I AM ONE with the darkness!"
"(crashing sound, then softly) Ouch...that hurt..."
Man when will someone do some justice to the GDI we are waiting for weeks since we first asked.
For the swarm
My favorite factions in the starcraft lore are The Confederacy , the United Earth Directorate and the Tal'darim (From SC2 legacy of the void).
What's all of your guys favorite faction?
None in particular tbh, but I'd LOVE to see the KMC and Umojans be explored more. Those two seriously need some spotlight on them
@@CallsignYukiMizuki I agree, they really should have more attention since they actually seem like cool factions in starcraft. But it would be cool to also see the UED again, but that's my opinion
Where is UED to take control again?
Nowhere. They attempt fail and considering that most of colonist were hard criminals, they really don't care.
@@TheRezro Well - the point of Admiral DuGalle´s fleet was to pacify Zerg and Protoss... which well - would have worked nicely with the Zerg...
and was bit over ambitious with the Protoss... but technically zerg did the job for them.
Imagine a full fleet invasion of the UED lol all 3 races might struggle together fighting back
We need a second wave.
I'm still hoping the inevitable Starcraft 3 has a grand strategy mode of some description.
Here are some suggestions for what I'd like to see be covered in future videos:
- United Citizen Federation from Starship Troopers
- Foxhound from Metal Gear Solid
- CHOAM from Dune
- Mandalorian Empire from Star Wars
- Principality of Zeon from Mobile Suit Gundam
- Ingsoc from 1984
- Holy Britanian Empire from Code Geass
- Umbrella Corporation from Resident Evil
- NERV from Neon Genesis Evangelion (It's on Netflix now!)
- Ferengi Alliance from Star Trek
- Hellsing Organization from Hellsing Ultimate
- Colonial Marines from Alien Versus Predator
- BPRD from Hellboy
- Band of the Hawk from Berserk
- Autobots from Transformers
- Draconis Combine from BattleTech
- XCOM from XCOM
"Thank God for Cold Fusion." - Confederate Marine on failed mission to recapture The Amerigo
Smells like a barbecue!
Carrier has arrived!
A starcraft film would be massive.
do a video on the systems Commonwealth, starting your favorite actor Kevin Sorbo as Captain Dylan Hunt of the Andromeda Ascendant
Oh no, please don't! Anything but that!
Lots of crystals but still
*NOT ENOUGH MINERALS*
YESSS!
LOVE THESE VIDEOS! MORE STARCRAFT PLESE!
An Atlas about the Youjo Senki universe would be good
It would be really cool if you guys could do a future episode on “Gilead”, from The Handmaids Tale
Recommendation:
The Republic of Gilead - The Handmaids Tale
Only we can dream of SC III
Perhabs the UED could return? I would buy it imideatly.
Make no mistake. War is coming in all it’s glory and all it’s horror!
Funny, started playing Starcraft 2 today.
Could you do a piece on the miniseries Ascension?
I love Starcraft
Kneel before the swarm!
Lol. Köprülü basically means “ Bridged “ or “ With a bridge “ in Turkish.
Very veery similar name to some of our places and persons in history here.
Wonder what brought the name Koprulu?
Interesting
love the starcraft soundtrack
How about some of the Farscape species? Delvians? Pilots? Scarrans?
I doubt you could use Leviathans cause there's so little information about them....
Need one for The Emperor Of Mankind
And one for the TTS Emperor
Nicely done.
It was about time!
The High Heavens from Diablo would be a cool Atlas!
Idk if theres enough info out there. But id be very interested to see a series breaking down as much lore as is available on each of the planets. But i dont imagine theres that much lore to find.
As an anime fan, it would be great if you could make a video about the following, but I can only hope. (Sorry for bad english)
Holy Brittanian Empire (Code Geass)
Eldia or Marley (Attack on Titan)
Armestis (Fullmetal Alchemist)
I agree with the Eldia/Marley suggestion very much.
Could you please do an Atlas video about Remnant from RWBY? If not, then a video about Sera from the Gears of War franchise?
Sera might be a better choice, Im not even sure theres enough lore on Remnant to fill a video any longer than this one.
@@KillerOrca Well, RT and Viz Media I think are releasing a RWBY lore book in early October.
@@tronmaster5704 Here's hoping its deeper than the one they gave us for RvB
@@KillerOrca Same.
*NOT ENOUGH MINERALS*
Any chance on doing a vid on The Super Mutants
StarCraft and StarCraft Brood War had brilliant storylines. Even though they never described the world in the same degree of detail as, let's say, Mass Effect, they created a grim, believable sci-fi setting. SC2: Wings of Liberty was decent, but Blizzard butchered the franchise with HotS and LotV, turning it into some fairytale-like science fantasy.
The individual games themselves on their own were pretty great! The lore and story starts to get jumbled up when you piece them together though.
-Starcraft / BW had a nice sense of urgency into it. The Koprulu Sector felt much smaller and thus, the Zerg / Protoss threat felt very real and claustrophobic
-WoL felt good when it comes to campaign mechanics and replayability, though I wish there were more of the Agrian missions (particularly The Evacuation) since that really did the theme and atmosphere right
-HotS was a big change, but honestly? It was a nice redemption/love story. Also ua-cam.com/video/-iYzuc_gM9U/v-deo.html
-LotV was admittedly a bit of a dissapointment, but they did improve upon campaign mechanics.
Your voice is hella soothing
Aiur looked always like a good planet, warm, with big oceans, rainforest, a tropical planet, i think was the only decent planet in the whole sector
Please do the Krimzon Guard from the Jak & Daxter series next!
Thanks!
After decades of Korean domination, a son of Finland rose up from obscurity to lead his people (or boards of Zerglings) into a new era...
Its about daymn time...
Great video. If i could Suggest Rokugan from the Legend of the 5 Rings as a place of interest?
Or a Dossier on Lord Daigotsu.
Suggestion, New London, from Frostpunk
"We are the Swarm. Numberless...merciless"
Why must you tempt us with the Institute lore ?
We must know...
The game is basically how Australia became a nation, how Aussies fought the emu wars... in space.
*Meanwhile at NASA:* JERRY, THE ENGINES ARE LEAKING AGAIN..WE’LL NEVER GET TO MARS AT THIS RATE!
Sooo, was the Lore retconned? I remember the colony ships being filled with all of earth's "undesirables" and basically exiling them to as far as their ships could take them.
For the Conclave!
"How do I get out of this chicken-shit outfit?"
Future episode:
The History of the Inner Sphere from BattleTech.
High Command: Battle for Macragge. That sounds good.
I have vowed to never again touch the crack-cocaine that MMOs have become. But a "World of Starcraft"... That'd be tempting, damn tempting indeed...
How about you add One about the star empire of manticore not just the kingdom but the empire
