I be very careful with dealing with worlds that are aware of other dimensions or have the technology to breech other dimensions. Well the Imperial Government of Japan might be fairly normal as far as nations go. the SS would very well be aware of other worlds and we don't want another incident like the Tyranid article the Institute did that got intercepted by the Inquisition of the Imperium of Man.

If I had to guess, there's going to be seven, maybe eight. One for the Star Union, one for each of the six major factions, and maybe one for the minor/NPC factions. Personally? I'm not complaining at all. I've been very impressed with the worldbuilding and writing of Planetfall so far in what I've seen, and I'll eagerly take more.
