Finn is looking so much more like himself now that his hair is growing out. I love seeing his fluffy face again. I’m amazed at the transformation of the yarn from the fiber with all the white. I’ll not look at braids with lots of undyed sections so dismissively as I have in past. Congrats on a new set of wheels! I’m looking forward to seeing this spin next week! harpingJanet
Finn just got neutered 2 days ago. He already feels better, but the vet gave us sedatives for him. She said he has to stay calm for 2 weeks!! He is walking around stoned! I am excited to start the 3-ply! Tomorrow is plying day!
@@jkfiberarts I mean when you plied back to check it. Even when I zoomed in it was not very clear. I realise now that you’re going to show the plied yarn in your next video, so I can see it then. I can’t wait to dye something in a similar way, but too many WIPs just yet 😉. It would look nice as a chain ply too as you would have soft stripes… no good for matching socks though !
@gmarcelle I don’t need my socks to match! In fact, most of the time I think it’s pretty cool! It’s hard to zoom in on the yarn when I am spinning backward draw because I can’t capture my back hand and my front hand. Many people are interested in my hand positions. But you are right! You will see it all up close this Saturday! Thank you for watching! Spin Happy!
Hi Joan! I just got your order, you picked some real winners! Exhale is one of my personal favorites! Will ship it out on Monday. We need to get together soon!
The socks will be awesome, but even shortie socks take me FOREVER! I have so many irons in the fire! I am still working on my test knit headband from my Falling Leaves progressive batt! lol!!
I really love this yarn. I've been trying to dye fibre with more white as i love the look. How did you dye it please? Did you splodge colours on dry fibre? How did you set it? I've been struggling to stop the colours bleeding though the fibre too much. Many thanks x (and oooh, international shipping, might have to look at that as i love your blends so much 😅)
I can’t tell you exactly how I did it because I lost my notebook! But I use condiment bottles to apply where I want it. As far as colors bleeding it depends on when you add your acid. If the acid is in the wetting out the colors won’t bleed much. If you put it in at 185deg it will bleed into the other colors. Thanks for watching and Spin Happy! 😄
You're probably at a 72 wpi with that single. I have a fiber sprite that goes to 80. You seem to be a cobweb spinner, like I am. I barely get to a fingering weight with three singles plyed together. I'm working on spinning thicker. The struggle is real 😂
It’s hard to adjust from your default spin. I spin thin by default. When I try to spin thicker, I really have to focus or a bunch of thin bits can sneak in! 😂You are right it probably is 72wpi. I know it’s higher than 45 because I have room around it. I should get another fibersprite tool with thinner WPI!

I I'm amazed! I love the softness of how it turned out. Confirms my attitude that you never know if you don't try it. And Finn it's so delicious too.
Thanks! Finn is looking much better now that his fur is growing back!
Thanks for sharing. Inspired to dye randomly now. 😮
That’s great! It wasn’t random. I was careful about what colors I put where. But, yes, experiment away!!
Thanks for sharing this very interesting idea and technique tips. I would love to see your yarn a bit closer up 🙂
Thanks for watching! Do you mean closer up for spinning or for final yarn?

One of the best trips ever!!
I want to see the socks.😢 Can't you use camera magic or something??😂
