    That is one beautiful bobbin!
I think you gave me the most helpful spinning tip ever in this video. I usually only spin for an hour at a time. But plying takes me much longer, and I always try to finish it in one go. Plying at my treadle wheel wrecks my shoulders. Thanks to a bad car wreck I’ve had bilateral rotator cuff repair surgery. I definitely have not kept my elbows near my sides when I am plying, and end up feeling like I have knives in my shoulder muscles. I will be adjusting my placement at the treadle wheel so that my arms are not extended away from my sides.
You also solved the mystery as to why I don’t hurt when plying on my e-wheel. I sit more at an angle to the orifice, so my elbows stay at my sides. Mystery solved!
I’m looking forward to seeing that gorgeous yarn plied up. I am a sucker for a soft gray yarn like you have created. It’s going to be so, so cozy! Thanks for saving my shoulders! harpingJanet

I am so happy you might be able to ply more comfortably! Your RTC is responsible for any motion when your elbow is away from your body. Even using your mouse at your computer if the work station isn’t ergonomic. I am excited to get the rest of this fleece carded! So many things to do and so little time! Spin Happy!

I love how you describe the details, it sounds so sensible and believable. It is easy for me to forget how experienced you are, when you make it look so easy! And it is when things go right...

A lot is picking the right fiber. It is much easier with woolen prep fiber than top. also, I made the batt, so I know what to expect. I have definitely had maddening moments with different fiber. That’s why I often say I will spin the yarn the way it wants to be spun…the technical term is spinning with the crimp. Thanks for watching ! Spin Happy!
