When the best GoT game on the market right now is still a Crusader Kings 3 mod.

And Crusader Kings 2 as well! CK2 AGOT actually has playable Essos and Summer Isles, not to mention multiple starting dates and dragons. CK3 version is pretty new, but I have no doubt that devs are gonna add more things in it.
Mount and Blade had a banger GoT mod, to be fair.

Not to be rude, but GoT would be kinda lame for an mmorpg, because it lacks the diversity most fantasy settings have. You know like other races, magic and stuff. A Song Of Ice and Fire is a good book and GoT a mostly good series, so while a game might work it probably shouldn't be an mmo anyway.

It might work as a hardcore multiplayer with full item loss and what else (like RUST or ARK), or maybe something like Foxhole, but then Foxhole isn't really an RPG either.
Either way even just the idea of a generic theme park MMO with GoT skin gives me brainrot, so you are right.

I thought this was out for years already. I remember seeing an ad for it when I was still in college.
This looks like a direct port from the officially licensed browser game "Game of Thrones: Winter Is Coming" that came out way back in 2019. Having "invested" about 1000 hours into it I can say it's low key kind of fun. You can pay to make ingame waiting times go buy faster or instantly. But I managed just fine as a F2P having gathered all the Commanders and a very high City level. Give the browser game a try for sure! You don't need to have a phone after all!

being fair if they ever released a game of thrones mmo.
As long they played it right by making monsters be the white walkers and different types of white walkers instead of trying some generic "fantasy" sh*t, we could really have a solid lore-wise game!
there's a lot to explore on there that making a game having white walkers as monster could really work, later on we could have "normal" npc's be turned in white walkers thought a defeated expansion-war.
like for example, we start at 50%/50% territory white walkers and us.. if we lose big battles-raids, the white walker territory would expand and turn some of the npc's in "our" defeated territory in new monsters-bosses..
if we win, we would advance, gaining new "content" in the form of quests-npc's that would pop up in the white walker territory.
Every new expansion will start with a territory controlled by white walkers, only after we go thought some basic "raids"-dg's-quest, we would take back the territory from them and get the normal standard "gameplay" and of course the develops could do events-invasions every now and them to make the white walker reclaim their "lost" ground to make it more dynamic instead of one time thing.

I liked the game, but the thing is, most people dislike this genre of games.
What GoT Needs is either a strategy game like ck3 (but there is a mod for so yeah) or a strategy role-play game in the Style of the Pathfinder games.
What also would be quite fun, would a Kingdom-Come Deliverence Style of Game in this universe.

literally to my work buddies earlier today I was talking about how the biggest dealbreaker for a game reveal imo is announcing it for mobile or some other platform no one cares about. Earlier today with Batman Arkham Shadow in my thumbnails, but then it's only on META Quest 3. Sonic Dream Team announced but it's only on Apple Arcade. A nice cinematic trailer for an Invincible based game but then it's some mobile auto-play crap.

If you want to own a dragon 500$. Then to feed it every day you need to spend 20$ for the food. And you need to do this for 4 months straight.
Or you can play all month for 3 hours a day however you also need to balance your energy meter cuz each mission takes 1 out of your 10 energy with a recharge time of 1 energy per hour. To feed it once. Dont worry you will have a full grown dragon for your kingdom in 4 years of playing.
