I do really like Rarran, but I do feel some of these judgements are missing some cards, like the stone wright may look awful by itself, but with the new weapon and the payoff golem it may look better, same as the harvester or agony, I mean it makes sense if you see them out of context, then yes he is right, but I do feel he missed some support for some of them.
The Countess is taking us back towards the "pure" paladin days. Wonder if that'll see any more support or if it has already and I'm dumb for not watching all these review of reveal videos.
You are not dumb, this is the first "pure pally" card since High Exarch Yrel. Granted the Elitist Snob awards you for having paladin cards in hand, but it's minor. The next expac may bring the pure archetype fully back, but who knows
i feel like totem shaman will actually be pretty great. stonewright with bolner and macaw? especially with amalgam that we recently got? feels good to me.
It sounds good, but once you play Bru’kan, which is a strong hero card and defienetly worth playing, your gero power loses every connection with Stonewright
@@Plantje024 yeah losing the hero power sucks but I feel like even with just 2 battlecry of stonewright it shouldnt be a problem closing out the game soon enough. We'll see tho I'm more of an Evolve shaman guy anyway
I think if Murloc Holmes was buffed to "Solve a clue about three of your opponent's cards to get copies of each of them" it would be playable for Thief Rogue, Thief Priest, and MAYBE Murloc Warlock. As it is, it's basically unplayable. If you got at least the cards you guessed correctly it wouldn't be as feelsbadman. Edit: After thinking about it I have to wonder if some of these were meant to be better in Wild. The Totem Shaman support card will be really strong in Wild Totem Shaman and could potentially even make Odd Totem Shaman workable.
we did just get those 2 new totems in the most recent reveal, but idk if those are anywhere good enough to push the archetype. like yeah having a 10/8 is nice, but it still requires you to consistently be summoning totems to get any value
I think the stonemason definitely needs to be played more than once, at least twice, for summoning basic totems to be worthwhile value. You gotta turn those totems into silver hand recruits *after* the Paladin questline.
I think your looking at it from the wrong perspective. You don't need to buid a deck around it, but having totems that have even +2 attack can pick of smaller minions early game. Not to mention that with return to hand cards that +2 can be as much as +8. Shaman also has many cards that give effects like windfury. So while it may not be a game winner, it can give you early board control if its pulled early game. If you have a deck with Totem Goliath, that forces your opponent to question whether or not they want to deal with it or not. Because when it dies it summons 4 basic totems. With a little preparation, those totems can have +4 attack, meaning you kill off a 5/5 only to have to deal with 4 4/2s, which get even bigger with spells like bloodlust or windfury.
@@treyheffernan2265 Legendary only costs 4. Turn 3 with coin. Shaman has enough cards to make something like that viable. Again, its not a game winner, but it can be used. And if its not strong enough now, chances are Blizzard will reduce its mana cost to 3, while reducing the attack to +1 for totems, which makes it bounceable for a lower value version of pogo hopper. It won't see much value in Standard, but in wild it can be extremely powerful if attained and used early game, especially in bounce decks. People can try and craft totem decks now. Or even toss in Quest Shaman for a tiny bit of extra value. And there are different ways to use it. You could theoretically toss it in a Pirate deck with Mr. Smite. Murmur a Hench-Clan Hag that's 4 extra Amalgams which count as totems, even 1 use means 12 extra damage with charge. Use it twice? 24 damage. You see where I'm going with this. People complained about Leeroy, which was only 6 damage. It doesn't need to be a win condition, but popping it into decks revolved around the bounce mechanic, or double battlecry mechanic can be game changing if played correctly. Bolner Hammerbeak exists as well. Play a battlecry, copy the first battlecry played this turn. That on the field, Heart of Vir'naal, Stonewright. That's at least +6 extra damage. I'm just suggesting ideas. It doesn't guarantee that it will ever see play, but I think people are going to ignore this card that can potentially be very good in the right deck. Even as a side card, it can have some value I think people are ignoring.
I feel like the 10 mana 10/10 will be good in druid. Scale alone is enough to make it a reno jackson that deals dmg, it doesn't need to be an otk, but it still has the potential to be.
Seeing denathrius being played in token druid, it's absolutely broken, you get it by turn 7 90% of the time, and it's a boardclear that is also reno in token druid. Also you can play it alongside brann fairly easily for like 60 damage if you want to otk. But boardclear + full heal + 10/10 lifesteal often puts your opponent really behind, and will win you the game in most cases. Of course in most other deck it probably won't be as good, but druid has enough mana and draw to make him borderline broken.
Hench-Clan exists for Stonewright. Summon 2 1/1 amalgams. Doesn't sound too powerful, but when you remember that Mr. Smite gives all pirates charge, things start to add up. If Smite isn't taken care of the turn its played, suddenly your next turn you can have 4 1/1 amalgams which are pirates, murlocs and totems. So all the bonuses you've gotten off of Stonewright are now buffing these 4 1/1s so they could be in theory 4 10/1s with charge. Spirit Echos, Everyfin is Awesome, the possibilities are endless. But again, the right circumstances will have to be in play for it to be viable. But there are options I think people are possibly ignoring. Especially with Shaman being so heavily focused on bounce, double cast and double battlecry.
countess not being a tier is comical. let me explain: paladin does not run neutral cards almost ever holy pala runs literally three. smite and 2pyros. 3 mana discover any CLASS legendary it costs 0 is an effect that would be broken if it was its own card. and paladin has not only insane healing and sustain with maki roll and cariel (effectively 40 heal for 10 mana since each hp point is doubled with the hero card) but also crazy handbuff and board potential. countess is not hard to get out. its not hard to get the effect and the payoff is absolutely busted.
I’ve been running Sire in my 40 card warlock deck. Weapon reduces it and brann in cost so you can play both in one turn if I can’t seem to get my curse combos off very well. The draws with warlock mean keeping it in my hand really isn’t that bad and the giant lifesteal is simply enough to win me the game most times even if it is not big enough to be my wincon
9:14 They added a neutral 1 0/3 Totem that gains +1 Health each turn. I wonder if it's too slow, or worthy of being copied by parrot/bolner/brann. Currently, murlocs are in a better spot.

Maybe by itself Stewart the Steward seems unreliable, but with a lot of new Paladin cards in the expansion supporting a questline Paladin deck, I don't think there is much reason not to use it anyway? I'll say beforehand that I'm a VERY new player and no next to nothing about the game, but do you think questline Paladin can make it to a top deck? Also it seems to me that the infuse mechanic fits pretty well with Paladin, but I haven't seen many Paladin cards with it, and overall I don't know how much potential it has, so I can't tell how much you would benefit from it.
You can chest out Halkias with the 3mana Information draw a spell, which will trigger it's deathrattle, so you have a reliable way to draw with and it curves good after turn 2
I think the problem with the card is it doesn’t have a keyword like Stealth, Taunt, Rush etc. even if he keeps coming back, it’s still just a 5/4 body, no immediate value.
I really wanna try out a imp warlock that uses the imp zoo stuff to stay alive and the imp based card draw to reach KT brand sire for a finisher. But idk if a 10 mana combo will be to slow when is 10 base damage but the imps will be good for infuse.

People are overrating Infuse so much... the fact that it has to be in your hand reminds me of Knight of the Wild (7 mana 6/6 that got cost reduction based on the beasts that died while it's in your hand). That card was awful so why would Infuse ever work..? Like I get that this one was beasts specifically but I still think Infuse is overrated.
Completly aggree, there's maybe an exception for Imp warlock somewhere but if you're aggro you don't want to keep cards in your hand and if you're control you probably don't play enough minions to see the effect. Probably one of the worst mechanic added.
The 2 decks that scare me the most is definitely Demon Hunter Face and Druid Allignement, Mid range hunter will be even better, Secret Rogue and Imp Warlock might be Tier 2, the rest will certainly never see play. How can you believe that Volatile Skeleton is a faisable win condition (and damn the flavour is top notch but it's just too slow) ? Even worst for the Shaman totem.
Yeah, I play on demon hunter and on a perfect turn 10 (I get all the cards i need, table is clear, i have no weapon), i can play a naga which deals 3 damage to a random enemy whenever my minion dies, then i spawn felwings for 1 mana, 3 illidari for 3 mana, and use a spell which deals 1 damage to all minions with honorable kill: give your hero +1 attack, and 2 fury spells, go face + 2 predations which do 3 damage each and cost 0 because i play a naga and that all equals 38 damage to the face.
Hot Take/My Prediction: Almost all Legendaries for this set will see little to no play. Or at least, they will see a lot less play than legendaries from prior sets. I dunno why, but most of these legendaries don't seem very good to me. At least that's what my gut tells me. They all seem like they're too slow or require too much set up for not enough pay off, or maybe require too much on luck to be good or whatever.
I'm in complete agreement. The vast majority of them are just outright bad. This set overall is complete garbage in power level compared to even the worst of the last 5 sets. This is The Grand Tournament 2.0. Out of the entire set revealed i have seen maybe 10 cards total that are good enough to see regular play in meta decks. that's it. We will obviously see a lot of experimentation with them for the first week or two but i guarantee after that there will be like 1 or 2 new cards in decks at most. The legendaries are by far the most disappointing part of the set for sure. Most of them, being terrible gimmick cards for decks that don't have any support or saw no play already.
It's funny how hearthstone players have been complaining for years about power creep, then the minute Blizzard releases a lower-power set they complain about that too
@@greenseer6 different complainers. you just see the people complaining not the people who like the set. Those people are busy playing the game to write messages.
I disagree, I think all of the legendaries Rarran has in A and S tier will see play besides Vashj (not enough support this expansion), the mad duke (just super overrated), and maybe Darkvein (could be too slow+hard to use). A lot of those legendaries in A tier and especially Kael'thas have just disgustingly busted effects.
Renathal is overrated, but I don't think that is so bad, just not as good as people give credit. S for the community and popularity, B for the usage, specially in a format with a low density of cards like standard
Renethal is fine. Some decks need that extra health to win certain matchups. Quest decks generally don't care about deck dilution because their win con is in their hand. What I like is it's not an autoinclude, it gives each deck 2 different versions (renethal and nonrenethal). In some cases the renethal version is worse, in others it's better. Overall really well designed legendary.
Last card an little undervalued i think. You can discover some real shit there. But it is always a feel bad highroll card. Simply discover1 and make it 0 this turn would be better design.

@@Kristjan0209 and like he said you have to have the sire in your hand the whole game to be good
@@Theblindgamerr1011 well Druid has the 2 mana card that draws your highest cost card
I am loving this channel and I have never played hearthstone
Hello it is an honor to see this vid
It's interested to me that rated the pally cards so low, I'm really keen to play them
I feel like the weapon Rouge legendary is pure bait, Rustrot Viper is a tech card that everyone can run for pretty much free.
People said the same thing about Skull Of Manari back in KnC, and that didn’t do anything the turn they played it, you’re always getting an attack in with the dagger
Constructive critism: Either you have a window in front of you or a straight wall, u sound kind of echo-ey, its not a big problem and if u can't solve it don't, its fine, but it's an easy fix if u can :D
The mage secret legend won me a game it kept making itself super big became a 19/17 because it kept making counter spell ice barrier and the one that goes face they couldn’t kill it
This review = oof
I have a challenge for you, play any 2 quests at the same time and complete it.
Rarran: I think this Shaman Legendary is gonna be meta warping
Also Rarran: I don't think it's gonna be meta warping😂
joke's aside good stuff!
joking*
Give Kael S but Denathrius C, lol
i'm excited to add sesslie to my wild wall druid
relic DH is absolutely insane
Pelagos looks like the ghost of Geoffrey 😂
10mana 7/7 that gives you a free legendary isn't bad, though the pure requirement might be too much.
the only deck where i could see alimor be played is in some weird marshqueen wild deck
Sire denathrius is busted still my favourite win condition
New Rarran content is awesome!
This vid went so hard on jump cuts that it cut out the explanation of how sire denathrius could be viable
I think rouge might have a deck in the new Kael'thas and shadow step. No? Just me being a crazed brewer? ok.
Broski, olgra i pog dude.. way better than you think…
love the content but poor choice of tiers
People are overrating Infuse so much... the fact that it has to be in your hand reminds me of Knight of the Wild (7 mana 6/6 that got cost reduction based on the beasts that died while it's in your hand). That card was awful so why would Infuse ever work..? Like I get that this one was beasts specifically but I still think Infuse is overrated.
Completly aggree, there's maybe an exception for Imp warlock somewhere but if you're aggro you don't want to keep cards in your hand and if you're control you probably don't play enough minions to see the effect. Probably one of the worst mechanic added.
@@gudluck6687 Yea a very few of them might work but man people are acting like this is the strongest mechanic ever
Man forgot about all the totem synergies coming out
TOPIOR SUPREMACY. Topior best card in the set by far. Free 3/3 with rush on every spell .. YAH
Denatrius stupid broken 40 % playrate
It's funny how hearthstone players have been complaining for years about power creep, then the minute Blizzard releases a lower-power set they complain about that too
@@Noobie2k7 and I think it's a good thing regarding the state of powercreep in the game.
Sadly the dmg has already been done..
I do not regret calling Vashj kinda waifu
Last card an little undervalued i think. You can discover some real shit there. But it is always a feel bad highroll card. Simply discover1 and make it 0 this turn would be better design.
Aged like milk lol
Thanks Rarran
Pelagos will be as valid as Lightspawn in modern decks.
I see a lot of comments talking about how bad these cards are and I want to say that maybe that was the point
i mean 5 mana summon 3 dormant stat bombs (btw if you do the math its 5 mana 15/14 plus a 4/2 weapon over three turns) is absolutely busted
@@AquASnK_Gaming yeah except for those hunter cards which seem really strong
@@legominer9520 well not really. Countess is really strong as well. Paladin doesn't really need neutrals so it's not much of a build around and that payoff is huge
