@@williebowen1043 me too and I'd like the reason why they aren't. The Raiders were way better than some of the crappy bands that are in the HOF in my opinion.
Simply fab !!!! The best part of this awesome set is the second rollicking number , "Out on that Road" ! This fantastic live version is soooo much better than the studio version. With the wild go-go dancers screams and hollers adding to the excitement , I just can't stop watching it !!! I wish it was included on one of their cd compilations. And speaking of those awesome dancers, the groovy blonde is the incomparable "Kathy Gale", once part of Red Skelton's original TV show dance troupe and the sensational brunette is no other than Loreene Yarnell of the famous "mime" couple "Shields and Yarnell" ! A terrific moment of late 60's television. The joy of expression is now , sadly , a thing of the past. I miss those great days !!!
Paul Revere and the Raiders performed with awesome energy and they had fun and it shined thru. "Mr. Sun Mr Moon" was and will always be a favorite of mine! My older brother introduced this song to me when I was very young and I fell in love with it. Thank you big brother! I miss you ❤
Dear Mark Lindsay . Raiders . Rock the Hall of fame . Sure Knew how to sing the songs Rock all of us teenagers . You deserve the very best votes to win the Hall of fame very proud of all the Paul Revere and Raiders . From all teenagers in the 60 .You have the Talent . Rock our world.
I saw these guys back in 1967...with their little amps on the stage...the sound was horrible by todays standards...but who cared back then...it was Paul Revere and The Raiders with Mark Lindsay live!!
This band was and still is a great legend had wonderful songs sweet loving and fun !!!!only the true real fans know and realize they deserve much much more than just be in the hall of fame may we have all the millions and millions of votes please!!
It's definitely an era of some of the best music from any period. Most contemporary music today doesn't even come close unless you consider burping, spitting & swearing into a mike music.
Uplifting, optimistic, soul nourishing tunes like this were part of the 60's appeal as was the "live and let live respect everyone" general attitude. BTW - Excellent dancers - PEACE TO ALL.
1969 I was in my junior year of high school graduation was 1971 still at 2022 I appreciate my diploma and Glad I have It makes me feel Good know if all of you kids out there get yours it’s a Good Thing !!🤩😉😁🙏👍
It was a dark day when this Rock'n' Roll icon passed form this earth to the Home in Heaven. We will miss his great music and his fun personality, but Heaven will be richer for it. He is there now entertaining those whom have gone before us, and he will be there to entertain us once again someday. I was there from the beginning, have all of the original band's albums and have loved them from day one. Their music, their fun on stage; and, if you have ever been one of the lucky ones who had one of his three-cornered hats sent flying out to you from stage AND still have that hat, you have truly been blessed for it! Their music was always so fun to dance to also. RIP Paul and hope to see you on the other side someday. God bless you for the legacy you have left us.
I really enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing. Paul Revere & the Raiders were my favorite band when I was a kid in the 60s. I had every album and loved watching them perform on TV.
Omygoodness I fell in love with Mark back in the 60's. I played Paul Revere and the Raiders records to death. It's a miracle I never got backlash by my parents or siblings. I enjoy seeing these performances and reminiscing about those fabulous days. 🌻
"Mr. Sun Mr. Moon" was the very first 45 I ever owned. Played the grooves out. Used to watch them when they hosted the show "Action". Thanks for the memories.
I really love this video. These are by far three of their best songs. Am I wrong but isn't that Goldie Hawn dancing in front of Paul? So great. I just love Mark Lindsay. Last year I bought two of his CDs. They are so great!!
Nice to see the Raiders wearing late 60's garb. Perhaps without the Revolutionary War costumes they would have already been inducted into the RRHOF by the twerps that manage that place of questionable membership.
I adore Paul Revere + the Raiders' When I was 10 I had a major crush on Mark Lindsey + that Ponytail 😍and that Face! I loved his lips shape! Smart kid✌️+ Paul Revere the Blond Adonis!!!😍
Remember this in early 69 when I was 11 in 6th grade ! Heard it on Philadelphias Famous 56 Wfil around late 2/1969. Vietnam was raging on exactly a year after TET of Jan. 1968. Ah, my incorrigible juvenillie delinquent days where being suspended was an integrated part of my self induced study curriculum in 5th , 6th. And 7th grades!!
"Kicks" was a HUGE US hit, one of their biggest records by far. It was too early for people to perceive any anti-drug message-none of that started happening until about '67 or after.
It's sad that The Raiders were considered by some to be "kind of pathetic at this point" while acts that were strung out of drugs and booze were considered cool. I would say they were the pathetic ones.
Valerie Ehrluch Thank you Thank you for that nice remark billboard penguin these guys were fantastic decent and just a whole lot of fun and we need to get them into the rock and roll hall of fame SOON .......I wonder where guitarists Freddy Weller and Charlie Coe are at now ....the raider legacy continues on through son Jaime revere
Oddly enough, the Feminists see them as oppressed and victims of male domination to be exploited. But today the feminists empowered women to wear less and reveal much more for free and don't get married or have kids until into their 30's as if to cheapen sex and let men get it for free. At least the Go Go dancers got paid well and looked like they were having fun .
EmpressOfWyoming58 Oh I see. Tell that to the women around 37 that I met that suddenly wanted a family and were angry they bought the propaganda from the feminazi's in school . You make it sound like the same gender couples that want children while only around 22 are void of wisdom .
Gary wood 22 is young for anyone to plan to be parents. You still have growing to do and your career to establish. By the time you're 30, you've grown up enough to relate to the child from an adult standpoint. I know. I had kids at 20 and 25. I was a preteen when the feminism movement hit. No one ever told me to wait until I was 37 to have kids or that I couldn't wear cute clothes. The women's movement was about ending oppression, not being more oppressed. If those women you speak of are resentful, they have only themselves to blame, or maybe they just never found any men who could be good husbands and fathers. You don't marry because you are a certain age. You marry because you find the right man or woman.

But the raiders and Mark were their own and ‘The grass won’t pay no mind by Mark on his own, was a winner, that never gets old. I never bought one Joplin record. I found her unappealing. I wonder why some of Paul Revere’s original guys, left? There’s your answer ad to what happened to the group.

That is so true
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is corrupt, just like the Oscar's. They have become irrelevant.
Screw the Rock & Roll Fame .these guys ROCKED!!!!!!
possibly the most underrated pop group of that era....unbelievable sound, songs, hooks, production.
Wrecking Crew
@@grouchosays Every band of the era had a Wrecking Crew helping them on many if not most of their recordings.
Lets get this band in the Hall of Fame!!!...PLEASE!!!...Somebody!...

F the Hall of Fame. They don't deserve this band. The RRHOF is a joke. Dolly Parton? Even she knew they are nonsense.
Keith Allison passed away on November 17, 2021 at age 79 from natural causes. May he rest in peace.
They were great in 1969 and sound awesome in 2023!!!!
Good 'ol Mark lives right up the road from me. Very nice man.
That's just too fucking cool.
How cool, Mark is great, the band is my favorite 60s group!
Mark Lindsay. Absolutely fantastic singer. Love this with live vocals.
Man can Mark Lindsay sing! He is sexy as hell. The Raiders are the best. God bless you, Paul.

'Kicks' gotta be thier best

Gary wood Feminists actually celebrate the freedom to be go go dancers and wear mini skirts. Waiting until you're 30 to get married is just wisdom.

I'll bet they took a ribbing from their contemporaries for doing an anti-drug song ("Kicks") in the 1960's!

wow, live singing!
love this song whats it about?

Mark looks like he's living barbie doll dude in a kid's doll house set. All he needs is that corvette.
What TV show is this that Paul Revere in the Raiders are singing on?
Amen! I hate the version that has the studio track overdubbed. This one is great.
Did the Raiders ever actually play live on TV or was it all lip synch? I love the music, but how about some actual live performances? Geeez
