I like that Widgie admits his shortcomings and admits to a fall in ELO due to wanting to simply enjoy himself. That's how the game should be played honestly. It isn't that easy of one and variety in it is truly the spice of life.
Honestly I am really enjoying you casting your own games. Dunno, maybe because of your extra insight on decisions but there's something special about mid ELO games - it's as surprising to watch as low ELO and the rivalry is still pretty high but also you can already see the META and general standards set around the community
This is a fun new civ for you! I would love to watch you livestream more ladder games with the french! It's much more fun than watching you get frustrated trying to climb to 1500.
A couple of days ago I started trying more civs(besides Inca, which was my main civ) and I'm surprised with how much I've improved overall in the terms of economy and countering, with a bit of micro managemente here and there. I've tried USA, Italy, Netherlands and Japan, liked all of them but recently been enjoying Italy. Free buildings!
Appreciate your comments about just enjoying the game. I am trying to do the same thing: learning new civs is fun. I find I get tilted once I know the civ and lose to a lower Elo player. If I'm always learning a civ then I do not have that expectation. :) Also appreciate you beating a USA player. :D
I also am 1300 elo again. I was up to 1450+ eith Haudo and i was happy chappy.. then i forgot how to play again and dropped to 1300. I also am Native/Asian enjoyer, and i also recently started playing France. Ive given up trying to be good, i dont know if ill ever reach the heights of 1500 (and stay there) so i am just trying to have fun now. As France, i cannot deal with age 2 rushes. Russian or India age 2, just curb stomp me
Nice game brother! Well done changing your army composition Very nice strategy I have 1 question though How do you get the coloured description panel Is that a mod?
Hlo please tell me how fur trade card work? And does it reduce the percentage of coin if we exchange or food in large amount like if we exchange 100000 food it will give us 125000 coin so it mean 25% but if we change 215000 then how much? Cause we are using this card exchanging 215000 food it's giving us 228000 coin why does percentage decrease?.

Not sure why people give so much about Elo anyway :D
I think if you call yourself Hayek you are obliged to have capitalism in your deck and also send it.

Kind of wondering if I should try more vanilla civs, seems like they got interesting cards as well
Yeah it’s definitely a good idea and also you learn a lot about the civs you play against as well, knowing your enemy is key after all
Nice game. Good timings. Give a shot to the royal french army card. French musk are really strong now.

Nice game brother! Well done changing your army composition Very nice strategy I have 1 question though How do you get the coloured description panel Is that a mod?

What on Earth are you saying at the beginning 'Hey, cheebe shboy Widgie here?'
What is the mod that changes the color of the text, with blue and red for the units your select unit is strong and weak against?
Saw that too...
@haasva2637 yeah found it on one of his video
Better unit descriptions
How do you get your resource indicators to turn their respective color? Is this a UI option or only because you're watching the replay?
It’s a UI mod, it’s called Dori’s UI Mod
aye big widgasaurus rex. as a french pseudo main big trust remove 14 skirms and add 4 culvs its sooooooooo good.
Okay sure thing man! Whatever you say :)
well played mate. I think skirm cur as france is the way to go against usa since usa skirm goon just better than your skirm goon
Thanks man! Hope all is going well, haven’t seen you online in a while :)
@@Widgie Yeah in the process of moving so away from PC for abit
''you know me, I don't like to play age 2'' - I thought I knew you! Don't you love a good age 2 aggressive play?
I do but I’m learning other play styles, I don’t think I could ever play a turtle age 4 style play however haha
@@Widgie to your point, most top ELO cast games = FF or semi FF
