Shock infantry are the fast moving melee infantry (rodeleros, coyote runners etc)
Pikemen are just heavy infantry

Rodelero is not Shock Infantry, it's just fast Heavy Infantry. Shock Infantry deals no bonus damage to Cavalry

Shock infantry is (in the game, in reality it means something different) basically cav without a horse. A rodelero is fast but has not the shock infantry tag and is basically a better pike.

I feel like Aztec's best option this patch is the FF though? Calmecac and friends have taken some real nerfs, and since the Kancha boom kicks in relatively early, Inca are hard to raid. Doesn't help that Incan Age II units are some of the game's most cost-efficient across the board.

aztecs have "temple cards", technically speaking
promotion nerf is barely significant
shock infantry is coyote & eagle runners; it's analogous to "cavalry"

Muskis and artilleries are good against shock infantries. These were not count units for them.
