I speak fluent German and what you actually said at the beginning was Aja and Pet Sounds are the greatest records ever released and Jazz can be very entertaining and doesn't shred the enamel off your teeth. Probably.
Your German is great. Don‘t apologize! There is much more to discover in german vinyl. Propaganda, Klaus Nomi, Nena for example. Various styles. It‘s worth to dig and see what comes up. Really enjoy your chanel and the wide spectrum. Thank you a lot. And a big hug from Berlin 🇩🇪

Tangerine Dream had very good sound quality or audio fidelity on their earlier albums . A good sound engineer / mastering / mixing can really make the music shine .
me beeing from Austria (german speaking country) i have to say that you had a killer pronounciation on the Falco rap. almost no accent at all, maybe a little austrian accent since Falco was Austrian as well 🙃 - perfect!

Hi Robert, really appreciazed your attempt to make a whole videi in german. This is the first video of you that were suggested by youtube for me, but i like it and you did a very god job! I am German and i have no problems to understand your german sentences. I've subscribed imediately ans looking forward to your uther videos (in english 🙂). So keep on rockin'
That's awesome, Robert! And you don't have to apologize for your rusty Germany - some words were absolutely correct! ;-) Seriously, I was looking forward to your German video and just the little snippets are hilariously awesome! ;-) I think, it's a good thing you didn't fracture your tongue! Thanks for the attempt and keep the great videos coming!
Neu!! and La Duesseldorf. and the great Can, of course. And the fun Trio. Yeah, those early Nena albums were good too (Neue Deutche Welle). She's still going strong. Saw her in SF in 2017, her first tour of the USA(!). Wunderbar!
I respect the attempt. I certainly have no knack for speaking other languages. The closest I get is the dreaded "KraftVerk," haha. Funny, this video reminded me of the intro to Steppenwolf's "Earschplittenloudenboomer" with John Kay switching between English and German. He was born in Germany, so he probably doesn't have to think twice about it.
German is a fun, interesting language, but by no means easy. Kudos for giving it the old college try. It's super helpful to know German if you're a music lover. Whether you're into classical, opera, metal, prog, art rock, etc., you'll be able to dig deeper into the music and understand the lyrics, be it Wagner or Rammstein.
Leders are GO! I have like 6 pair. They are worn in the South and Austria for festivals. I love how German sounds in songs. I collect various Schlager records from the 70's (Cindy & Bert) as well as the electronic stuff, Scorpions, pop stuff (Nena, The Twins) and German/Austrian metal. Stuff like Ash Ra Temple is getting out reach for my budget. Check out "Dreamlike Land" by Richard Schneider Jr. and "Wolfgang Riechmann & Streetmark" for some cool German records nobody talks about. Tchuss!
One is guaranteed to find awesome music in the birthplace of Johann Sébastien Bach . I'm in thr middle of nowhere and that Brainticket album was there in the used vinyl section of the record shop so I bought it in a heartbeat. I do like metal am having trouble getting used to the Ramstein stuff .
The first German film I saw in theaters was “Der amerikanische Freund”. Seventies and early 80s was a great time to watch German films at rep houses: Wenders, Herzog, Fassbinder, Scholondorff. I was totally enamored with Herzog’s Hearts of Glass, and The Tin Drum was quite a viewing experience.
not too bad at all! but you really need to practice the word "veröffentlichen" more 😂 thanks for the appreciation for germany, robert.. love your videos, although im not even a big rock music fan.. your videos are just so entertaining.. thank you.. prost und servus from lederhosen-bavaria! 😜
As a teen flipping through records. I came across Monster Movie. I was like that looks like Galactus. And as a comic geek grabbed it knowing nothing till I put it on my stereo. Been a fan ever since.
Your German sounds about as good as my French. The only German titles I can remember are the crazy porno tapes we once had in a store I worked at. Sometimes we will say them while out and about.
Hey Robert, that was unexpected! I never knew about your knowledge of the German music scene. You ever been to Germany? Honest offer: if you want to hang out in Saxon Switzerland, go through tons of records and maybe on a little hike, visiting Dresden, maybe, shoot me a message!

LOL, I took German in junior high as well and haven't used it, or very rarely, since. Your german is very good! I recommend the selftitled album by the band Trio. It was produced by Klaus Voormann and is a classic of the Neue Deutsche Welle era. Before joining Trio their drummer Peter Behrens was a member of the german psychedelic rock band Silberbart. Their only album "4 Times Sound Razing" from 1971 is an insider tip for rare (but good) psychedelic stuff.
Love that one, Robert. I grew up very close to the border with Germany thus with their culture. I just got back from a trip to Europe during which i could find some cool Krautrock gems. Would love to do a stream with you once, let me know if you'd be interested?, Cheers, FVA

"The Tin Drum" was mind-blowing.
You got to listen to Marius Müller-Westernhagen, the german Rolling Stones.
I'm here for Falco. I wore that tape out as a kid and even played the spoken word Mozart history part in class for a report 😅

Yeah, I’ve been learning German by listening to Rammestein😆
I had two years of German and the only German I know is "Rauchen Sie Nicht!", which are the obligatory signs posted in ammo dumps of WW II movies.
I was told in the 80's that all Germans smoked so it's probably a worthy sign around ammo.
