If you don’t own a shot marker, wrapping paper with 1” grid works great for tall target test and OCW load development.

No problem, it's important to do these scope tests and you'll be amazed at results after you do.

Should've went one step further and showed how to use the shotmarker to give the exact elevation increase so you can see how much error the scope has.

Great minds think alike! That’s actually the next video coming Wednesday. I did a whole video on box testing and scope checking to show exactly what you said.

      @@FClassJohn Awesome! I
If you can fit in, another tutorial on how to measure your groups and other things that shotmarker will do would be helpful. I find myself wanting to use a paper target even though shotmarker would probably give me what I am looking for.

Hey John. This has nothing to do with the video, but I'm hoping you can shed some light on a subject. Is it such a thing that if I find the right seating depth for my rifle then three consecutive powder charges say 40 grains to 40.4? We'll all shoot the same point of impact elevation wise? Or do you just do seating tap to fine-tune one particular powder charge?

I shoot great groups at all three charges but the point of impact changes from high to low. Which if I go out hunting and the pressure changes then that's probably what's going to happen in my point of impact

Can you use a shot marker system in a mobile sense?.
As is if I built a target frame could i take it out to the middle of nowhere or does it require plug in power?

Yes 100% it can be used without power. All the parts have rechargeable batteries.

    Spin Drift ?

If you zero a gun at 100yds and then shoot that same windage at 1000yds, the bullets rotation will naturally cause it to 'drift' to the right about half an inch on our 7mms. So you have dial in the drift to have an actual 1000yd zero hold.
