All I can think in this video is how I want your life, dream car, dream garage, congrats, living the life many men dream of. I would just add an old W108 V8 6.9 Benz to the shop lol.
I owned an 84, an 85 and an 86 and miss those cars dearly. My dad still has an 85 that we bought in 87 that has been sitting for years that I always wanted to do a 7M-GTE (Al la Reg Riemer build) but the 2JZ looks like it came with it! I LOVE the Boyd’s 17" wheels and was one of the things that make your car stand out. Nice build!
I have followed this car for years on the forum. Thank you....for the inspiration over the years. My first mk2 was super silver metallic. Man I'm so glad u started a UA-cam channel.
The original had the factory Fujitsu~Ten 5-band Eq with a teeny little 42mm Sub-woofer under the dash. Thing was a trip. The driver seat side bolsters have never been offered that I'm aware of another rice rocket. The front discs had a habit of warping every 500 miles. requiring replacement or turning. In 1982 Domestic cars were still 90% of the market. Unlike today off-brands just didn't exist. You couldn't go to Grand Auto now Oreilly and have 3 different alternatives. IF you drove japanese, even in California you went to the toyota dealer or a scrap yard.
WOW, I'm in love.. I had an 85 when i was 17. Bought it in 87. Traded it in for a brand new 88 turbo targa. . When i was 18.. Still long for my 85. Hoping to find one in excellent shape with low klm's..
Cleanest Sup ive seen, so envious. That license plate is SUPer clever too 👍 I'm a gen4 Prelude owner but I have a lot of love for these Supra's and the LFA and most Toyota coupes along the way. Thank you for the video; it's very nicely done and inspiring of how a classy clean, respectfully modernized retromod should be. It's keeping the best and just improving what needs while retaining and enhancing the original looks. So many poor sports imports got Tuner treatments that were designed only to be obnoxious at cost of performance and aesthetics. True Japanese Tuner cars, even Botozuku in its way, have a natural enhancement of the looks while many Americans just threw on any and every item at the local parts store. Of course sesthetics take a back seat to performance as should be😆

Short of cutting into the rear and fitting a Mk3 diff I think you are at the limit with the TrueTrac LSD. I mean there never was enough space for the crazy engine swap you did in that rear diff hole to begin with. The milimeter gaps around the trans bell housing are a testament to the madness at work here. But you're a creative madman. Can't wait to see what you come up with
So glad to see someone did this swap! I'll be going this same route next year for my new setup. If you got time one day it'd be cool to talk about how we did our swaps. I haven't talked to anyone who's done the same swap as me in a mk2. Love the car!
