As usual another well done tutorial. A teacher who explains clearly the strum patterns for every tutorial. Well done video tutorial. Thanks Kelly

Thank You Kelly. You have the knack to breaking things down, and making it a lot easier to practice and learn. How you remember the lyrics beats me. I have to cheat even with the oldies I should know off by heart.

Love the take away tip… keep your digits separate while learning the double strum! ❤

This is an excellent new explanation of the more advanced strums. Thanks. I had sort of given up on those, but now I’m going to work on it.

Thanks for this detailed video! I'll save it to my UA-cam library for when I get a little more advanced.

@@e.castlerock8454 Glad you enjoyed it!! Check out the Live Jam video we did last month - it goes into quite a bit of detail on each of the various strums and there are some different exercises to help you along as well! Kelly

@@fourstringstrummer - Thank you, Kelly! I'll look into that as well. And I just saw the title of your video on buying a banjo ukulele. I'll watch that later, too. Although, it seems you have to be a fast strummer for a banjo ukulele. I still have a lot to learn on a regular ukulele first.

@@e.castlerock8454 there are LOTS of tunes you can play relatively slowly that will also sound good on a banjo uke (I just tend to do videos on fast ones 😁). Have a look at the tutorials for "You Are My Sunshine", "Wildwood Flower", "Red River Valley" and "My Old Kentucky Home". Each of those sound good slow or fast. Also, if you want, slow the video down to play along if that helps. Just go into the settings (the little icon that looks like a gear in the corner of the video) and click on "playback speed". You can put the video at 75% if you like until you build up your speed.
