Born & raised in Philly we all were so blessed to have this guy & his band the "Heroes!" Loved this song so much I had it as one of the intro songs of my wedding reception. RIP Robert, thank you for every great song you produced.
Version 1 is better but this is still a jam. Robert Hazard had a certain New Wave Leonard Cohen vibe about him that I love. Who doesn't love a good critique of 80s consumerism with a good beat? Certainly none of you watching this in 2024.
Wow I'm from Philadelphia I'm 49 now I can't believe I found this at 4am in the morning talk about bringing back memories, the mall the skating rink, the pizza
Refrain sounds like Sisters of Mercy in this version. The main melody reminds me of the motion picture soundtrack of Stephen King´s Christine (John Carpenter, 1983)
Just thought I'd check out his music since the only one I know is Girls Just Want To Have Fun. So far I like it. Love those Keyboards. The 80s had the best music. Wish I could've experienced it with everyone else. I was only there 2 and a half years and I don't remember it.
Dude, I met Roberts son Rex one snowy night a few years ago and before I knew anything about the dude we were already linked from one question he asked me “You fuck with Sabbath” and it was something I hadn’t felt in years. I’m eternally grateful for that happenstance meeting where this skinny white kid showed me what true rock n roll really is and it’s because of this dude.
Robert was a Philly legend, we miss him here

I'm from Germantown RH and the hooters and less not forget Tommy's Conwell. THE SOUNDTRACK of our lives
2 versions of the same song - both the most '80s thing I've heard today, both bangers
Late at night. Pushing 70. Still listening and jamming to Robert and the Heroes. Great music times in Philly. RIP Robert.
Man that bass line at 00:54 is straight fire
A much under apriciated song.
Indeed, it's just a millimeter short of perfect.

One of my favorite songs ever!

My sister was friends with his wife, he was a great guy.
Susan is a wonderful woman
brings back wonderful memories 😊❤
Love it
The first version was better love this song play on radio all the time missed songs of awesome decade love 80s
This must have been the version he didn’t like....it was difficult to smoke under a waterfall
The other version of this video to me is the quintessential early MTV video...
Yeah, version 1 definitely captured the 80's vibe better.
You might need a lot of fire to get your hit.It was some tough shit coming out of Europe at the time.
Me recuerda a Rick Ocasek
Never have seen this one. Version 1 is much much better.
This version is the glamorous version . I like the street version .
@@v.dargain1678 The other version is like a European 1930s decadence version.
he was no dancer! Has kind of a scrawny frame. Smoking will do that to you!
I remember them oh so well it wasYesterday
😲😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome song! But the video here is bad even for the early 80's
NYC
Trump said, "I can grab them, whenever and wherever I want".
