Very good cover.... Excellent, bt I don't get in between when u r in the 13th fret and then 3rd fret comes bt u don't go all the way up to 3rd fret, how do u play that??
Thanks! There are several places on the fretboard where you can find each note. And you can use any of them instead of the one in the tab to make the song easier to play or just to change the way it sounds. Take a look at this chart here: egalo.com/media/2012/guitar-fretboard-notes-chart.pdf 1st string 3rd fret is g'. But you can also find the same note on 2nd string 8th fret or 3rd string 12th fret. Going from 13th fret all the way to 3rd fret is awkward, so I’ve shifted it to the 2nd string. But of course you’ll have to shift the notes immediately after it to keep the fingering sane. If you play higher up the neck like this, it’s easier to do vibrato and bends, plus the sound of the guitar is sweeter and juicier in general. At least when you’re playing melodies. But you can also shift notes lower down the neck to make them sound sharper. It can be very helpful if you only have an acoustic guitar with no cutaway and the song calls for high frets like 16 or 18.
@@Savv- bt thanks for the chart rlly helped my I've been struggling with a song where from the 18th fret the next fret is nowhere near it.... Its in 18th fret then suddenly jumps to 1st fret on the 6th string... Bruh, bt now I've got the shortcut thanks a lot❤️... Keep making vids... Love u

Thanks! Completing level 9 is no small feat, nice work! I haven’t done it: songs like Practice Heart are really hard to play well, especially if you’re not using an electric guitar.
How helpful is this app? Because I want to learn chords and tabs etc. and i feel like when you're learning songs with Yousician it's like they only let you play to the sound of the singer's voice, not to the actual riffs etc.
This is app is pretty helpful. If anything, it can teach to you read tabs and chord charts with great ease. Most songs in the app have several versions available in various difficulties. The high level ones have the actual riffs, while the low level ones can have you play just the basic melody that the singer sings or the basic simplified chord patterns. The transcriptions aren’t always exactly spot on, but they’re pretty close for the most part.
I believe this is the best app to learn guitar right? The visual element is really helping for me. Do you believe you could play those songs in front of others without the screen at some point or is that the only caveat.
This is a good app to learn the guitar, but it has some problems. It may still be the best, just because the competition isn’t particularly strong. For example, compared to Rocksmith, Yousician is way better (in my opinion). I could play these songs in front of others without looking at the screen, but I’d have to make an extra effort to learn the songs by heart. That’s just extra work you have to do. So if you don’t practice playing without looking at the screen, you’re not gonna be able to do it on the spot. But if you look at classical musicians, for example, they usually have the score in front of them when they play concerts and this is seen as completely fine. Classical pianists often even have someone sitting next to them just to turn the pages. One big issue I have with this app is that most of the arrangements are made for a band, not for a solo instrument. So if you want to perform these songs without a backing track, you’d better invite some friends to play other instruments like drums, rhythm guitar or bass. Otherwise it’s gonna be difficult to play in time and your part will often sound a bit dull on its own. This isn’t necessarily a big problem as playing along to a backing track or in a band is a really useful skill to have. Also, Yousician does a really good job of teaching you to read tablature on the fly, so you can replace Yousician with a backing track from UA-cam and a printed tab and it will feel almost as comfortable. Another thing I don’t like about YS is that you can’t listen to the part you’re playing in isolation so that you know how it’s supposed to sounds when done right. The MIDI synth playback is useful, but it isn’t enough. All in all, Yousician will make you play better, but I wouldn’t use it as the only tool to learn an instrument.
You can’t, the max level you can reach for guitar is 10. But you can play Level 13 or even Level 15 songs at any time if you just search for them. I think the idea is that these songs are beyond the scope of Yousician syllabus and they can contain some things Yousician doesn‘t really prepare you for.
Yousician was a huge part of it, but I also used UA-cam, tabs and video lesson DVDs. I even took two in-person lessons with a teacher to see if I’m moving in the right direction and to get tips on how to progress further. That was about a year before I recorded this video. So yeah, Yousician is a great tool, but I wouldn’t recommend it as the only tool.
Yeah. After updating to Windows 10 I’ve ran into technical difficulties with Adobe Premiere and I’m still trying to sort them out. Many of the clips have become desynced even though they were all perfectly synced on Windows 7. Must be some sort of codec issue. I’m really not looking forward to resyncing them one by one. Maybe I’ll just install a dual boot version of W7 or learn to use DaVinci Resolve which doesn’t have this problem. But then I’ll have to redo the edits I’ve already done halfway through. In any case, it’ll take some time. I was thinking of creating a new channel just for Yousician/music-related videos, because I realise the audiences for these and the Red Orchestra videos don’t overlap much. But for now I’ll probably keep using this one: I don’t think I upload enough videos to annoy people with irrelevant content all that much.
