Okay but notice how their whole body becomes more interactive and relaxed and moves significantly different every time their skill improves ? Also their hands omg
Right? It's so realistic! You start out, just focused on playing the right note all the time and then you start to just feel the music and trust your muscle memory. I'm really impressed with the attention they've given to a single skill
@@danneyx2850 I don't know nothing about guitar tbh but what i meant was that their fingers look like are doing something not just idly moving across the guitar

I wonder if nearby Parafolks will also have reaction animations. Like covering their ears to show disgust if the music sounds bad, and tapping their feet or snapping their fingers if it sounds good.
@@AnatasiaCalistaExactly. I’m also saving up for a gaming pc and I’ll hopefully have one by the end of this year and Paralives will come right on time 😁
Can I just say how I find weird that in games, people would play guitar while standing up, for me, personally I can’t even start without properly sitting 😂
I would assume it's probably to avoid issues with the guitar clipping into the furniture like for example through the arms of a chair or the back of the couch. But same lol I can't play while standing without a strap, and even then it's still uncomfortable
I just like how it really feels that the at the lower levels the character is struggling, sometimes playing wrong or just stumbling and having trouble with certain parts. It's nice.
Wow, wonderful to see the guitarist behind the work. Reminds you of all the people working together to make this happen. Music was always one of my favourite skills to build for Sims so I'm looking forward to doing the same in Paralives. : )
Honestly, it’s the simple things that I’ve come to appreciate after seeing what other games are producing. The animations are appealing. Shadows are realistic. The game is buttery SMOOTH and lightweight. It is absolutely EVERYTHING. Thank you.
While "Life by You" is showing little progress in terms of graphics and character personality, "Paralives" has been increasingly consistent and presented a game with a lot of future potential. I hope the donations increase a lot and we can play it soon.
Life by you has been quite clumsy with their marketing. They've been showing too much too early in game development, when the game still doesn't even look remotely good or put together yet. I get this sense that the game feels like an empty shell with no personality. They're also making promises and not sticking with them: constantly postponing early access, for example.
@@TheDaniela3112 Yeah, I thought that. About them showing it too early. I think they felt they "had to" given how Paralives (and Inzoi) are both showing off in game content. Fear of being forgotten about- or something like that. Which personally I feel is a bit ridiculous. The genre isn't THAT big and populated. A new big title would always get attention, even if we'd just gotten a great release.
@@xNeariax I know right. Plus paralives has been in the making for about 5 years now, releasing content only once a month or once a couple of months and 5 years later fans are just as excited about the game - if not more - than they were at the beginning. They don't need to saturate fans with constant updates. What they need is to get working on the game and making it look good. Because honestly I was intrigued and interested in the game and its promises at first but seeing how they keep ignoring how bad and unfinished it looks I lost some of my interest like - call me when your game actually looks good then maybe I'll bother watching your constant updates
I love how at higher levels the more they start to feel the music as they aren't worried about finger placement! Very cool that the animations are the same but vary depending on the song's rhythm
it would be interesting if there were different interactions to “play” and to “practice”. like practicing builds skill better, but playing is more fun and builds relationships better
IM SO HAPPY TAHT YOU CAN SEE THE TECNIQUES USED IN THE HIGHER LEVELS IVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE ANIMATE PULLOFFS HAMMERONS AND TAPPING IN GUITAR BEFORE THIS IS AWESOME
In the sims I have never been too interested in a lot of the music skills. But seeing here how detailed the animations are with the music makes me really excited. I’ve never wanted any kind of band type packs for the sims but I would love it for paralives with this level of animation!
All I want most about Parlives is that we have more options to spend our money. For example, buy your own clothes in stores. Parafolk would go to the store, we would click on the mannequin and CAS would appear to select the clothes from both the game and the personalized content to buy. Parafolk would only wear the clothes they buy, eat the food they buy, buy ingredients at the market... that sort of thing. This makes the game more real and challenging. Because in The Sims, money is only used to buy furniture and spend it in clubs. This is very frustrating in gaming
Omg, have I mentioned how much I love the art style of this game!? I can't wait to be able to play it. The animations here look soo good! The skill building sounds very realistic too!
Good job linking to the guitar player in the description!!!!! What a talented dude! You too, of course :))) Just a bunch of intimidatingly talented people 😍
One thing I’d recommend is slightly different animations depending on the tone of the song being played. It’s a bit otherwise when characters are really animated like they are playing some rock song when the music being played is a more relaxed tune,
I'm assuming they will address this at some point cause otherwise it wouldn't make much sense. This, and the general hand placement for specific songs which is still a bit off.
@TheDaniela3112 They can't animate the hands for each and every song. Similar to other games where characters play instruments, they just animate enough for a baseline animation that can be used for the objects.
@@moringlory23 yes! I know, I know. What I mean is that I noticed some moments of pause in some of the songs in which the para kept strumming. Or moments when the strumming was too vigorous while the song was quiet. That sort of thing
@@moringlory23 theoretically they actually could. I doubt they will as it’s likely more work than it’s worth just for a guitar skill but if they did it like many games do procedural lip animations it isn’t that extreme. Basically just create small animations that can be pieced together based on the music. This animation for a strum, this for a default motion, one for a missed note and then based on the music file it organizes them together into a string of animations that while not pinpoint accurate more closely resemble what is being played. Plus they are already working with procedural animations in regards to animations between characters of different heights so it wouldn’t be too far fetched. Again not actually expecting it just making the point that they wouldn’t need to hand animate each individual song to achieve a similar effect.
1) LOVE how it sounds, super realistic for learners. 2) LOVE getting behind the scenes! 3) Paralives is going to set the bar HIGH for future game developers.

It depends. If you're practicing I think it would be ok to play wrong notes all the time but if you're playing a song then not

Not realistic at all. A true beginner wouldn't even know they could fret the fretboard. They would just try to play the open notes.
I'm so glad this isn't just random off key notes and realistic playing, the attention to detail is making me love this game so much
