I love that there is no logical reason why anyone needs a 90mph boat to catch bass, yet i just feel like i need it
In the bass tournaments speed can get you to the spot first. But normally you can’t run bigger then a 250 outboard in them

I'll give you a reason! I lost a 50 THOUSAND DOLLAR Tournament because my boat only ran 65 mph and i got to check in late! If my boat would have ran 70 I would have won plus been richer! EVERY CAST COUNTS! I can only imagine the other tournaments I would have won or placed better if my boat was faster!
Its amazing how much money we spend to catch little green fish.

I remember when 250 hp on Bass boats was awesome and this one takes the cake. I have a quote from turn of the 20 th Century mega billionaire John Pierpont Morgan said for all us Po' Boys. "If you have to ask how much it is, you can't afford it".

Looks good. Features to be considered in the future: Slam latches, fan ventilation system throughout storage compartments, and recess area for ZipWake trim system. Also, the vast majority of anglers prefer one giant center storage like the Lynx or the Phoenix 21 PHX.

@Nytron yes sir weird they didn’t mention it. Most of the boats in basscats premium line will have compartment ventilation/fans

I would like to know how it performs with a 250, vs 350 vs 450. A lot of tournaments limit HP.
I thought that only happens at a pro level. People seem to be flashing 250 yamaha's up to a 330 and unless anyone knew how would they know

I was told by some cat people that it’ll do 100mph with a more aggressive prop

I like bass cats a lot their Hull is very good and strong plus they are fast but the one thing that will keep me from ever looking into a bass cat is the layout I hate how oddly shaped the compartments are I don’t understand y they can’t just make a big center lid with your rod storage on one side or the other
I second that. And will add that if there is a space for something no matter how small they will add a compartment. How many lids do they need on the deck of a boat. Maybe they should maximize the space with larger compartments.
I agree with the last part. The middle storage doesn't make sense in the Jaguar. They should have went with the topcap design of the Lynx. The best companies for storage are Lund (see 2075 Pro-V Bass) and then Phoenix (see the 21 PHX).

Depending on the gear ratio, and other jigging, this racing 450hp Mercury would cost between $54.000 and $64.000 alone. That should give you sight into what the price of this boat is. This motor alone costs more than a Nitro Z20, motor and all. That’s just ridiculous.
Dont you know that any time you buy a new boat you're really just buying the motor and the boat comes with it? Lol.
@@johnboe412 Not really, the boat is over half the price in any case. The Jag rigged with a 450r without any electronics, trolling motor, or shallow water anchors... is over $146k.

My 08 Mint 20ft Bullet has unlimited H.P. Rating! I don’t think they ever thought they would ever make a 450 hp motor! Legally I can do it, and it weighs at least 900 to 1000 pounds lighter than this Bass Cat! 😬
Along with Allison, Stroker and LCB. Lol. No way would i want to think about a bullet, stroker or allison with a 450. An LCB would be iffy also but it has an entirely different hull design.
Lmao!!!! I once too a ride in an Allison with a 280hp motor on it and the owner still had throttle left at 100mph!
I couldn't imagine a bass boat with 450hp on it!
@@charlieodom9107 my dad had a buddy years ago that had an Allison craft with a built 2.5 mercury racing short shaft on it and he had been playing around with props and Jack plate settings. He said it would prob do 130mph but, he said it was already sketchy at 110 mph!

it has a 450r and still runs less than 100mph? wow!! the allison craft with a 250 beats this boat. why would i even consider buying this boat? I bet gas usage is twice as much as the 250 allison craft also because the motor is almost twice the hp.

There is another video of a bass boat with a 400r blowing out at 103. Who the hell needs that kind of power on a bass boat. Total death trap if you ask me. People are going to try and max out speed and pay the price
