Hop do you prefer double-mag flap pouches or the 4 single inserts behind GP pouches like on the Mayflower Gen IV? With a supplemented double mag pouch on the side or something? My problem with flap pouches are they’re hard to reindex as opposed to the 4 single mags with a Haley retention insert or something
@guitarthrasher2176 when reindexing I go behind the mag, when completely empty I come in on a harsh angle almost as if I where to stab myself with it and then shove down into the pouch(I use eagle and molle 2 doubles)

This or the onward rig is my next purchase. Both very similar. The quad flap having an extra row of molle and the radio pouches sewn in are a nice touch.
I have both. The only issue with the g thumb rig id lack of one molle row. The two main issues with trex rig are: radio pockets are too small for military radios (what my group uses) and the clips are two close together and too close to the rig to clip into a plate carrier well. At this point im still leaning toward the g thumb rig
@@gun_monk5927 well you can just shove somehting else in the radio pockets for the trex and add your own radio pouch on the molle. The G thumb doesn't even have those and one less molle column. Clear winner for me

Thanks for sharing. I'm looking to purchase my first rig and plate carrier and I've looked at a lot of different options, this seems like a solid, well thought out design. Definitely in my top three picks.
I really like the concept you have going with the backpack being buckled in. That 3rd attachment point on the rig seems to make it all possible which is really cool. I run a back panel on my carrier that has a couple horizonal pockets so I can still kinda reach it but the largest thing I can stuff there is a smoke and anything else I need other people to grab my shit for me. Plus having the backpack just buckled to you all around means in the worst case it can be removed from your person quickly without fishing it around to get off your arms or just cutting the straps. Can't wait to get my hands on one. I'll probably wait for one in M81 though.
I'm liking this design for sure. Was immediately thinking of that third buckle in conjunction with the y-strap, cool to see you utilizing it that way. The radio pouch seems pretty legit too. The yote setup with trex sling adjusters caught my eye there. Would love to see more of that. I haven't messed with trying to do the piggyback thing yet with a small assault pack but its something i've been wanting to try for a while. Something to the effect of using the 24 hour pack as a ruck lid then strapping it to my carrier for short range activities if needed.
Great stuff man! Ive been on debating the pusher or UW rig from Velocity for a system i can integrate into a PC, love that you did exactly that. The pack setup is slick AF. Thanks again.
Amazing review 👏, immediately subbed. The only thing that I don't like about this chest rig is the velcro, which is a bit loud and annoying. I got a friend who's running the Ghost Chest Rig from barrelandhatchet, and it's so quiet. I tried ordering, but it's out of stock. That's why im planning to get the trex arms chest rig, is the velcro mag annoying for you? I would love to see a review comparison in the future if you have changed to get it
With the ghille set up I did c zone steel at 100 and it was 2 standing reload two kneeling reload and two prone reload I did that 3 times. I had one clean run with I think only 1 mike the rest I had 1 miss kneeing and one standing. The drill I did in the PC was a CQB Assesment from Xray alpha here www.xrayalpha.com/targets I did some 2 reload 2 and some transestions in depth with a realod. All of these drills I did in one day. I hope that helps!
You're both misunderstanding what he's saying. That other companies are selling stripped down rigs with less features for the same price. Not everything is hostile.
Really solid design, there are a lot of things about this and the Onward rig that tempt me away from the old Velsys hybrid.

Cool set up with the quick detach yote, been looking into a similar set up with retrofit cobra buckles attached to the shoulder straps of a PC.
That setup on the plate carrier with the backpack was very cool
