Game Review & Impressions
---------------------------------------------------
Despite being one of the lesser known fighting games out there, Master's Fury is really just a half-baked knock off of Street Fighter II, with some elements of SNK's King of Fighters series thrown in.
The roster of fighters is a weird Mr Potato Head affair, where combatants, costumes and fighting moves are stuck together to create these weird mashups that seem oddly familiar. Kill Ruki is a great example, sporting a Guile-esque haircut, but dressed like King from KoF, but possessing animation and moves oddly reminiscent of M. Bison; it's all extremely odd, to say the least.
On the subject of graphics, it seems the game has an internal resolution of 384 x 224, but applying the typical 4:3 aspect ratio changes this to 384 x 288, which results in all of the artwork being stretched vertically, which ends up looking plain weird when compared to the raw 1:1 internal resolution. This is most pronounced when comparing the victory screen artwork showcasing the character portraits - they look wrong in 4:3.
As for the gameplay, it's just a clone of Street of Fighter II, sans the polish and professionalism of Capcom's game. This isn't terrible, but the controls and collision detection are simply too unpredictable, resulting in a game that just feels unrewarding to play.

They just redrawn the sprite from SNK's fighting game. 😆
A few are kept nearly untouched from the originals IoI... the Jack Turner ripoff seemed the most blatant to me, but there's so many to choose from!

Music kinda slaps 😊 that “Kim” theme was a hit
Kill Ruki’s theme too
I like most of the stages too 😅
Jane Isabell’s theme a hit

we have a contest with a friend , there are no winners for now, is to guess every sprite that was ripped from their original game and we find almost everyone but one of them is a total mystery, the one called Tung Ga or Gamp in the Ps1 version, could be an original character? who knows from what obscure game his sprite were ripped
He’s from Karnov’s revenge, the muay thay girl is from yet another company… and Guile with Mr big head and some moves from Crowley
I couldn't find a connection to the african guy but i cannot link him with Karnov's Revenge.
The girl with Benimaru hair is Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury 2) and Yuri Sakazaki (Art of Fighting 2) of course, worsened.
How didn't they get in trouble for this??? 😂😂😂
Maybe it's because nobody outside Korea knew that it existed.
Even if SNK did know about this they probably thinked that would be a waste of time to sue these poor devils.
Besides how much of a threat this half baked game could be to the SNK 's blockbusters ?
Mix various fighting games in the blender and you have this game😂
The only original thing about this game is the really good music.
Pearl Jacks flesh toned ponytail is very disturbing.
Jane = Yuri Sakazaki wearing Jean Shorts.
This could have been good or at least an OK game for it's time.
Too bad they concentred in steal sprites and forgot to tune the gameplay.
The "Art of Jackass Fighting".
What i could find here...
Two TKD guys are Ryo Sakazaki (Fatal Fury Special) mixed with Kim (Fatal Fury 2).
Girl with Benimaru hair is Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury 2)
Girl 2 is Yuri Sakazaki (Art of Fighting 2)
Kendo barking guy is Jubei Yagyu (Samurai Shodown)
Fat Feces is Jack Turner (Art of Fighting)
Kung Fu old Fart is a cross between Tung Fu Rue (Fatal Fury Special) and Lee Pai Long (Art of Fighting 2).
The Middleast Militar Guy is a mix with Mr.Big (Art of Fighting) and Guile's (SF2) torso with moves based on John Crawley (Art of Fighting)
The midget boss is Choi Bounge (KOF).
Just the Kenyan guy with a strange portrait is a bit misterious but i bet that he is Takuma Sakazaki (Art of Fighting).
The suit guy (aka Goose Howard) is Geese (Art of Fighting 2)
The bandana dude is Dragon (World Heroes)
PS: 1:45 I don't know if "Kim Boot Leg" is fighting a man or a dog with all this barking...😑
I respect most of the blatant rip-off arcade fighters from the '92-'94 era, but 1996? Ouch... this Iazy copycat came along *way* too late to get a pass from me. Was still fun to watch this rare oddity though, thanks!
Even the win quote screen is borrowed from Super SF2T.
To the game's credit, the sprites look good despite being blatant modified versions of the ones found on Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury and Street Fighter. But it all goes downhill from there
Despite being a clone of several franchises, I think it would be a good idea to bring these characters to Mugen!
@@Kiporra1 street fighter is from another company though
Sure the Mugen Community can make justice to these poor devils.
The sprites are ripped already.
when you copy Capcom and SNK's homework and hope to get a A+. composer who did the music is definitely going in though.
With this much blatant copying could've just name the game "Art of Fury". Everybody missed Leona, Feilin (Fighter's History), Mai, John Crawley
"Jackass Kombat" 🙃
"Art of Theft".
Wait, an arcade version of this actually existed?
lmao.
Yeah. After looking at the god-awful PS1 port, this one I can stand to watch.

Just wait until you get a load of the PS1 "remake", The Masters Fighter.
Truly ridiculous.
Master fury like snk
Anyone who thinks this is shit - yes it is, but my goodness you should see the fucking awful PS1 version, "The Masters Fighter" (no apostrophe). Jeez this looks good by comparison :/
Visually yes, Kira. PS1 port has a bad screen quality.

I actually like some rip-off games like Kaiser Knuckle or Fighters History. But this one shamelessly rips character sprites and animations from SNK games.

Unknown fight game clone.
The origin of "Art of Fighting" is South Korea !!
Good game i bet the Megadrive wouldn't have a problem with the soundtrack it's like a cat singing and whining 😅
they literally redesigned the sprites of some SNK characters, how can that be a good game?
@@nordestinoaleatorio623 Eh, most fighting games did this to various degrees. It's true this one's pretty blatant and sIoppy for 1996, but everything's subjective.
👏👏
There's video issues at 1:50 sadly
Plays fine for me
Nope, all fine here too. Something's wrong on your end.
@@Hausbrauen Yeah, it works now. Strangely. The video worked up until 1:50 then the video collapsed. All other videos worked. But today it works. Don't know what UA-cam had with especially this video yesterday.

Tsd é o estilo carro chefe do jogo show.
LOL what the crap?!
Wow 😯😮 Copyright ©️
The backgrounds look pretty nice but my goodness the character sprites both look awful and move really jerkily. Animation and posing is somehow even worse, looking like an early Micro computer attempt to cash in on SF2.
I also seems like bad design to give every character specials that are almost unavoidable and/or lightning fast with a boatload of chip damage, compensated only by the hard to see during battle squared pie-o meter that limits their uses.
Looks like "Street Fighter".
You really are clueless this is mostly a copy of Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury. Not everything is about Street fighter
Nah, that was their first game "Dragon Master" that knocked off Street Fighter; "Master's Fury" goes more the SNK route with a little Capcom thrown in the mix
1996 really? it looks so bad
An arcade version of The Masters Fighter, and it looks better and sounds worse than the Playstation version...
All characters and who they ripped off:
1. Kang Pung: Kim Kaphwan (Fatal Fury 2)
2. Tony Rung: Dragon (World Heroes)
3. Kang Tae Kwon: Tung Fu Rue (Fatal Fury Special)
4. Jane Isabelli: Yuri Sakazaki? (Art of Fighting 2)
5. Tung Ga: Zazie? Ryoko? (Fighter's History Dynamite)
6. Kill Ruki: Geese (Art of Fighting 2)
7. Sakamoto: Jubei (Samurai Shodown)
8. Pearl Jack: Jack (Art of Fighting)
9. Abdul Jaba: Mr Big's head, Matlok's idle stance? (Art of Fighting, Fighter's History Dynamite respectively)
10. Sya Ki: Suzy? (Streets of Rage 3)
11. Mr. Daeth: Ryo Sakazaki (Art of Fighting 2)
12. Sakato: Blanka (Street Fighter II)
Sakato is more like Choi in KOF
@@sanguinecalamus191 That, too. It's just that the idle stance and Strong Kick are traced from Blanka.
The midget is Choi from KOF.
The girl Sua Ki is Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury 2.
The militar guy is a mix between Mr.Big's legs and head with Guile's torso (that's why it's unproportional).
Korea sure is full of rip-off artists.
This fighting game is ripping off from Street fighter but the sprite work is super lazy like the first fight with this character which its sprite work is ripped off from World Heroes' Kim Dragon lol
You really are clueless this is mostly a copy of Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury. Not everything is about Street fighter
The paralaxing in this game is atrocious.
never seen this one, looks rather squalid
