He mispronounced the name of the town in the beginning... some local must have finally corrected him.

Burn-IT, I'm from NC, I'll correct your pronunciation on a few places there! Here, Tow is "Tao", I'm sure there are others. In Colorado, I pronounced the a as an o and was corrected, In Idaho, I mispronounced Boise and was told it's Boy-see. I'm learning! That's the fun of travel, it's broadening my vocabulary but I'm a NC country boy at heart!

@@ROLLMEAWAY If you had stayed longer, you would have learned locals pronounce Lake Buchanan like Buckcannon, with the accent on the can. And the Sheriff memorialized on the Burnet square pronounced his name Riddell as Rid-Dell, with the accent on the dell. But what you showed of my Texas Hill Country pretty much did right by this place, though it's considerable more beautiful in other seasons. Come back and stay a while.

Great video - also the astronaut’s name is Lov-ELL, not Lov-ETT - but that signature is hard to read!

It's crazy how so many people move to the big cities of Texas and never leave to go explore the others gems of Texas like Texas Hill Country and West Texas lol. So beautiful and don't know what they are missing. I'm not even from Texas either and have explored more than most people from Texas. Love it here!

Thank you! I didn't get to explore as much as I had intended. A combination of RV repairs, Covid, weather, and laziness! Hey - I'm retired, what can I say! I want to go back and stay in Bandera, visit New Braunfels, San Marcos, and Lockhart. There is a lot to explore between Austin and San Antonio. PS: Sorry to see you beautiful coach get crunched. Hope repairs go well!

Loyal Valley has some interesting history. Old stagecoach converted into a bed and bath. Herman Lehman buried in old family cemetery. Captured by the Indians for 9 years

Isn't that area awesome. I have happy & great memories of that area. Singles dance rally isn't too far from there.

I drove down to Bandera just to get a feel for the area since I had heard so much about the Singles Dance Party over the years. Looks like a place I could spend a month or two. The cowboy at the end was in the 11th st cowboy bar!

That train line has some nice modern stations. I wonder if Audrey Auld left her sign there in Luckenback at that music joint.

There's also a music hall there where she would have performed. This is the "post office" turned bar next door to the music hall with a couple locals playing. Back stage of the music hall where only the musicians go would be the place to look!

I see that on the plaque now. I was probable recording voice over while watching the video. The cement looked like t's. If I had written out my text for voice over and researched the details, I would not have made that mistake. Thank you for watching and catching my mistake!

It's not pronounced Burn-net...It's Burn-it ...That bridge is 4 miles from my front door...
You may not be old enough to remember the Apollo 13 Mission...But you might at least watched the movie...His name isn't Lovett...James Lovell and his wife Marylyn live in this area. They're lovely folks. I did the cabinets and stairs in their home. Yes, this is the prettiest part of Texas...Get your facts straight so you don't look like a dummy...
