The small towns of Fredericksburg and Boerne in the Hill Country have great places to stay and things to do. Lovely small historic towns with shopping, breweries, etc.
@@valbirkner8131 it’s been a while since I have been to the concan area. I think last time I was in the area I was visiting Leakey, Tx 👍. Thanks again and I appreciate the support
Flying L’s golf course isn’t miniature as stated in the video and actually it’s been under renovation for over a year. The water park is really for young children and nothing more. It’s a nice place where I used to play golf all the time but unfortunately it’s just been so long since the course closed most people forgot it exists
Don't go to the Texas Hill Country from mid spring to mid fall. From April to October you better be fit and immune to high temperatures because this area is HOT! The hills are pretty. . .....dangerous! Twisty-turny with tons of teenage drivers gawking at their phones so be prepared for defensive driving and massive crowding in the rivers. And oh, yeah, there's a two year drought continuing so don't plan a float trip 'cause it ain't happenin'! Try the gulf coast around Galveston for a lot better time, IMHO.
If you can't afford 171 per night for a family vacation, stay home and keep working and saving. That's how we did it! Your time will come if you work hard and stay focused.
Kind of a fake video. Seems to use stock videos and photos. The creator isn't actually at these places in person. Huge thums down. Don't waste your time.
The Texas Hill Country is not to be missed. It's a beautiful, peaceful place - if you can get away from the crowds. If you don't know where to go, ask a lifetime Texan. Chances are, they'll tell you.

I love the Texas Hill Country
One of my favorites is Fox Fire Cabins in Vanderpool, TX. Absolutely beautiful and actually affordable. 😊
Thanks for the tip, I’m going to check it out. Don’t be surprised if it pops up on a future video lol 😂
@@vacationgoals Feel free to keep it close to your chest also, lol. Crowds have ruined Concan (nearby).

Flying L Ranch’s airstrip is not open. Airport has been closed for years but has a wonderful history.
The JL ranch resort is in my home town of Sonora, Texas and I didn’t know that it was there.
Check out the, Sage Hill Inn ❤
Outside of Austin.
Had my own pool and spa and meals are always included
Trois Estate at enchanted rock is also very nice with a grotto and quaint country rooms
Ooh thank you for the tip, we will have to look into that. And in Fredericksburg, we are looking to make a trip down there in September

Summ are pretty reasonable for today's prices.
Thank you for the comment William
the first 3 are overpriced for what they are and only the lighthouse and jl seem worth it imo.
These fancy places are real nice - but only for the fancy pants rich folks.
Lol 😂 ❤️
Medina Highpoint Resort sucks, Once the new ownership took over a few years back, prices went sky high.

Know of any good spots on the cost we can research and inform others about?
$171 a night is "reasonable"? WHAT!? For who???
Texas is a money state with a lot of retirement towns so money is needed plus we are also a big tourist state
Does not make for good living unless you have a decent job or cheap house or apt. But it's very pretty and quiet in my area I live in k town
