Yes EX deluxe is a good one. but in case of EXR, the 'R' in EXR stands for 'Race'. EXR is also equipped with Yamahas RIde reverse kit but it goes an extra mile away from the deluxe! EXR has Yamahas TR1 high output engine but produces 110 HP which is 10 extra horsepowers compared to EX Deluxe! Well the other ex models including EX deluxe have NanoXcel tech hulls but EXR has Yamahas latest NanoXcel 2 hulls which makes the EXR much lighter than the other EX models. The EXR has a dry weight of 245 Kg and the EX deluxe has 272 Kg. So the EXR is much better than the deluxe and also can top up to more than 55 miles per hour just because of that extra horsepowers and the lightweight hull it has. 😁😊
I would call this review a general review of jet ski safety and operations rather than a detailed review of the EX Deluxe.
