My vitamin d was at 17, I had severe lower back pain, joint paint, ache bones, my mood was so out of control I literally thought I was bipolar, severe intrusive thoughts. I had suic-idal thoughts almost daily. I had a severe chronic fear, it felt like it was beyond anxiety, like I was in constant immense fear. My level of focus and concentration were extremely low. Difficulty getting asleep and staying asleep.Weight gain, muscle aches, hair thinning, skin issues, and getting sick easily. It was like like hell on earth. Get your levels checked anytime you get blood work done it’s so important.

A few days ago, I received the results of my blood work that included, for the first time in my 76 years, the level of vitamin D that required additional paperwork from my doctor to do the analysis. It is 55ng/ml. I left the grey skies of Chicago in 1999, for the sunny skies of Buenos Aires. I burn easily with white skin because of vitiligo from age 22. I walk daily for sun and exercise to keep my immune system strong. I stopped using toxic sunscreen a long time ago. It doesn't take long for my skin to turn red. The only vitamin D made in Argentina is a gel capsule that contains 250mcg/10,000UI. I take two per day. Thanks for your great video.

Sadly, my conventional doctor doesn't know what the optimal level of vitamin D is. My level was 30 and i asked him what's the optimal level and he said I'm within the range so I'm good. No, I'm not good when i have muscle tightness everyday and i have been living with mast cell activation syndrome, virtually sensitive to every food. Very frustrating

    Age: 19 years
    Primary Concerns:
Diagnosed with Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D deficiencies.
Experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, poor sleep, dark circles under the eyes, weak posture, and occasional mild burning sensations in muscles and eyes.
No gastrointestinal symptoms (no weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation).
Regular diet includes protein-rich meals, and stool appears normal.
Suspected malabsorption despite a balanced diet and no evident gut
    issues.
Recent improvements in energy and lung strength after starting Vitamin B12 supplementation.
    Key Questions for the Doctor:
    1. Could there be an underlying malabsorption issue affecting nutrient levels despite the absence of gut symptoms?
    2. Should an endoscopy or other tests be conducted to investigate potential causes?
    3. Are additional nutrient or metabolic tests recommended to rule out deficiencies or other conditions?

Wait, i need to hear about this genetic stuff. My doctor's refuse to test it because "it's expensive" and "not the standard of care." I was taking 30k iu's and still watching my level drop to 18. I'm in Cleveland but can afford the functional medicine institute or function health (which doesn't include generic testing anyway).

Tell them you're willing to pay out of pocket for the test. Sounds like an HMO insurance doesn't cover it.
I wanted a test when I was pregnant and they told me I wasn't old enough. (But I would be old enough 3 weeks after the birth, so close enough). What they failed to tell me was that I could have paid for that test myself.
So instead I was a nervous wreck for the rest of the pregnancy. Sometimes they are penny-wise and pound-foolish

What about balance issues/dizziness etc. Feeling like your like your reactions are slower etc. Neck movement popping and snapping sounds with movements up and down etc are those also part of low D ? I know i am insufficient on D and suffering with those symptoms. On the D train for 2 weeks now feeling of low energy and lower back pain seems to be gone but neck popping and balance seems to be lingering. How long it takes to restore to normal functions ?

    • @recoveringsoul755
      @recoveringsoul755 3 місяці тому

I think the neck popping is just calcium deposits. I have that too. But when I regularly do neck exercises it goes away. Just tip your head to the left and right , towards each shoulder. Then forward chin to chest, and back look at the sky.
Do that a few times to loosen up. Then do neck circles, clockwise and counter clockwise. Those noises are breaking up the calcium deposits.
If you do that every day the popping should go away and not build up again.
