Chilly "No Chill" Hayes hit single "Shred With Your Head". This was infamously Chilly's favorite song to play to a live audience. Many compared Chilly to Jimi Hendrix with his amazing guitar playing, unique tricks and stunts on stage. Chilly was known for using audience members heads to strum his guitar, and especially using their teeth as a guitar pick during his solos. Chilly and Jimi were similar but also very different in one way; Jimi was all about peace and love, where Chilly was all about f*cking people up.
Lyrics
I can really shred
When I use your head
I will rock this place
With your stupid face
Play this sweet a** riff
With your f*ckin lip
Now I'm rockin out
With your f*ckin mouth
Watch me play this lick
With your teeth as a pick
Riffing to the beat
With your f*ckin teeth
Watch me use your throat
To bend these notes
I can really shred
With your stupid head
F*ck yeah!
F*ck you!
My granddad saw No Chill in concert. Chilly signed his special helmet he had to wear after this number. I still can remember wiping up pops drool to this song on the radio. Good times
R.I.P. all those music biz execs. They will not be missed.
Cool it with the anti-semitic remarks
Playing with your teeth was impressive when Buddy Guy and Hendrix did it
Playing with _somebody else's_ teeth is next level
I'm honestly imagining this guy at Woodstock taking random hippies from the audience and putting the guitar in their mouths as he's strumming those solos.
...Then again, considering it's Woodstock, I'd be surprised if NONE of the rockers did that once or twice!
Rock n' Roll violence, just as God intended.
Jimi Hendrix checked out once He heard Chilly Shred at a level He could not comprehend! His licks and combination of Groove is awe inspiring!
There is a theory that "Purple Haze" was referring to that same night when Jimi saw Chilly play a seven minute guitar solo using an audience member's teeth as a guitar pick.
To this day, Chilly Hayes still doesn't get enough credit for being a pioneer of the Mosh Pit, which started at an untaped music performance at Woodstock 1969. While playing a earlier version of this song, Chilly's infamous fight with some drunk hippies caused a riot at the festival, which solidified his nickname "No Chill".
Despite not getting the credit he deserves, he and his son, "Wildin" Billy Hayes carried the Mosh Pit tradition, which many rock bands and fans alike do to this day. No matter how many artists have done the tradition, they don't compare to the Mosh Pit innovator, Chilly "No Chill" Hayes and his Woodstock 1969 performance.
I'll be damned. Another instant classic. Keep it coming.
Cheers!
Percussion Gang loves dis shit.
This song has been stuck in my head since first hearing it the in 70's, thank you for keeping the groove alive and available to everyone!
Cheers!
This one really hits it home!
I have a great aunt who was a groupie during Hayes' "Too many Heads to Shred" tour in 72. Ho man, the stories she told. I can't get into much, but as she put it "The kind of head shredding he did on stage was nothing compared to the sort he'd do to me and 4 other girls in the back of a tour bus going 65 towards Fresno while high on...something, I forget."
Thats the first AI solo I've heard actually jam... holy shit.
Great song bro!
Cheers!
Shit, this brings back the memories. My dad took me to see Chilly, and Chilly busted my dad's face wide open during a solo. Thanks for bringing back the good ol' days!
Glad I could help
Cheers!
I love it! 30-minute Isle of wight version please...
Featuring a cameo from Gef?
Edit : Sorry that was the Isle of Man that I was thinking of. I guess it can be said that I didn't have the 'Wight' island!
I love that near the end, the song just refuses to die, until it inevitably does xD

I need some basic tablature for this, so that I too might shred upon some craniums & melt facial features also!
Check out Lionel Nietzsche too. 😂They’ve got Motown versions of 90s Alt rock songs and a few originals too.
Hey Hard Archive, what site do you use to generate music? I use udio personally but I wanna try some new alternatives.

When you want to enjoy some sweet Rock n Roll but some obnoxious Christian fundamentalist ruins your day with his ,,Rock n Roll is Satanic" moral preaching.
This is how DooM 2016/Eternal would be in 60s. Still performed by Mick Gordon, of course.
It would be BlooM. Flower power and all that
