Boy, the black frames really made a difference in the overall look. Just started making background, so my stash should be increasing. Happy New Year!!!!!!
i really felt like it was missing something and was so pleased to see making some frames just seemed to finish it off nicely :) Thank you for watching, happy new year to you too
Amazing !!!! I've also used children's metallic chunky paint sticks. Don't know if you've seen them before. They look like large lipsticks in a wind up tube. They give a lovely glossy, metallic finish and you can draw your own patterns.
Just found a ton of….well..quite a few sheets..lol..of photo paper..have some inks coming…tried what I have…watercolor works somewhat..more fun..thanks for showing how to use words with die cuts…I am just learning this stuff
THank you, im aiming to do a video with several ideas to use up our backgrounds which im hoping to film this month and share. I have still got so many left so i need to get making with them
Beautiful cards Sasha!! I just love all of your backgrounds. I just got me some of the photo paper so I'm looking forward to playing around and getting inky. Love your videos!!!
When you stamped on these you used that versafine only for ink? It’s one I don’t own. I have so many black inks but always use the same one. I have stash-on, archival, moment, vernacular, and CP! So I think stay-on is the only one that works on glossy.
Sasha did you end up liking the glossy or the satin finish photo paper better? And ink or food coloring better? I want to try this so badly. I just don’t get money to buy often. My favorite was the versamark backgrounds but love them all!
I used Versafine Onyx black ink. It's my absolute favourite black. On a few of the backgrounds it took a bit longer to dry, but you could also use Staz-On which would dry instantly
yes all the links are in the description box just under the video :) It's made my Trinity Stamps, they are my absolutely favourite sentiment sets! Let me know if you struggle to find the links and i'll copy them here
Loved the ideas. My favorite was the second card. Very colorful. Great teaching, Sasha.
Beautiful cards. Love the backgrounds.
Such pretty cards Sasha.! You have inspired me to get my panels out and try this technique.
I made a few gorgeous backgrounds with the photo paper, and it was so much fun!

A really fun technique that I will try. We just had a snow and freezing rain storm yesterday .

Staz-on ink might work better than versa fine ink. Great idea!
oh good thinking, i always forget about staz on!!!

What ink did you use when stamping? I wondered if it might smudge on the photo paper. Lovely cards but sad about some of the backgrounds being cut up!

Do you have a link for the happy birthday stamp/die set? Or who makes them?
yes all the links are in the description box just under the video :) It's made my Trinity Stamps, they are my absolutely favourite sentiment sets! Let me know if you struggle to find the links and i'll copy them here
Both cards are beautiful - almost a shame to cut out so little of those amazing backgrounds 🤗
yea it did feel weird, but i had so so so many, i still have so many left ha ha
I used ultra premium photo paper and I didn't get the results that you did.😢
