16:34 spot on. The best anyone can do is test them all the same and compare, which you always do a great job of here Tim. That's tools an impressive one for using just a 2ah battery, and the price considering it's TW not CN made. Another great video
If you make tools for harbor freight so your Hercules brand it's just 500 foot pounds it's not even close but I do like the tool it's nice and light we should put the real foot pounds of torque it does it would sell a lot better and not scheme so many people
7:51 Hey! I just had an idea! Torque a different bolt to 73ft/lbs or whatever, then use a torque reader adapter(or the torque wrench if it has that feature) to see how much torque it took to get the nut loose. Then loosen the nut that the impact tightened, compare their numbers! If the torqued nut takes 50ft/lbs to remove, and the impacted nut takes 65ft/lbs to remove, then you know that the torque setting on the impact isn’t accurate!
Pretty impressive for $179 for the Kit and it did 500ftlbs with a 2.0AH Battery , it's pretty much a No Brainer especially if your not already on one of the Big 3 Platforms already ... Great Review Tim ....👍
Appreciate this review. I totally agree with your assessment on the tightening. I’d much rather have the tool report a lower number than a higher one. I always finish with a torque wrench anyway. As long as the lug nuts are tight enough to lower my vehicles to the ground then I’m good. I like your style and I’m glad subscribed! I .
This is on sale at Amazon with a $30 off coupon. I was going to get the new Hercules 20v compact impact wrench until I saw this. I dont need a huge battery since im diy'ing
Title is a bit misleading: tightening torque is only 369, and loosening is 590. Current price is $183 for tool, battery and charger. Looks solid and good value for the $$$ though.
That's a bad little bastard no matter the claims. Especially for a 2AH? I was looking for a battery change every other bolt lmao. I just got some of this companies stuff (ac-delco 3/8 ratchet ARW1210-3T and a 3/8 in impact ARI12104) and i was VERY shocked at the quality of them especially for 170 bucks for both tools, two batteries and a charger (prime day baby.) I mean i more often use ingersol and CP 1" air guns and my DCF900 but for what they are, I'm in love
You can buy the Ridgid 1/2" Drive impact wrench up to 485 ft.lbs - 620 ft.lbs of torque with 4ah battery and charger for $149 now 😂 lifetime warranty on tool and battery 👌
I paid $182 for the Makita XWT18Z (EDIT: For clarification, that's bare tool, not a kit). This one did well, but that Makita is just impossible to beat at that price.
@@Shoptoolreviews No, that was bare tool. Certainly apples to oranges, and depends on the batteries (or adapters) you own. But correct, you get both less (no battery and charger) and more (power and tools on the platform) with the Makita.
I like those mechanix gloves they feel good just not heavy duty I was replacing a broken toilet it barely touched the gloves and cut me like I wasn’t wearing any gloves lol
Heck, I like the Torq gun with the Hytorc 18v tool that you used to torque the stuff with. It seems to be a hoss. As for the Durofix impact, I do like the torq settings and auto-shutoff feature. It seemed to handle extended hammering times. Like one of the other comments, I wonder about its durability for a year's worth of use and if it had to be warrantied, how easy/good is the warranty ? Overall though for this quick 15 min test, it looked to hold up and work pretty good.
@@GuyFromJupiter I understand that portion of it, just like an AC motor could be ran on DC. I’m merely referring to the fact that brushless motors are in fact AC, so I don’t believe the tool above is.
this is not worth now for buying like most of cheap because as i see you can get for around 130$ Ryobi p262 (ebay and amazon) which have real 800+nm of untighten and 600+nm of tighten torque and add 30$ 6 amp battery
The earthquake xt cordless tools and acdelco cordless tools are made by durafix. The batteries are interchangeable. Acdelco and durafix have more options such as both brushless and brushed impact wrenches and ratchets. If I remember correctly the last time I looked into it the durafix and acdelco tools cost a little more but you get a better tool at the end of the day. The earthquake xt models are probably earlier generations of the durafix and ac delco
Impressive...most Impressive. But at $180. If I'm gonna spend that kind of coin on a power tool it's gonna be Milwaukee or dewalt! Sorry durofix,...close but no cigar!
@@Shoptoolreviews if you go and watch the cactus Maximus video of the teardown of the Harbor Freight 20 volt half inch impact it says durofix on the aperture during the teardown so Harbor Freight guns are made by durafix

So r u gonna Torque Test it on the Dyno or what???? 🔴💪😁
I truly appreciate it. I agree, this thing is pretty strong for a 2Ah, and the price is solid for the Taiwan made. Thanks again.

Durofix is not only who makes AcDelco cordless tools, but were making the Earthquake cordless stuff for Harbor Freight too.
Just bought one from your video, its £100 in the uk with 2x 4ah batteries case and charger.

Bro that's the Earthquake 3/8" in a gray jumpsuit!
Not a bad tool for the price.
But I think it might work better with a bigger battery (Harbor Freight's Earthquake XT 5Ah battery).
That is a perfect tool to keep in the trunk with a spare tire!
First video I watched from you and I subscribed - a rare thing. Great work!

the RIDGID 18V Octane impact wrench with battery and charger is $159 at Home Depot, 620 lbs. of torque.
And - Milwaukee M18 FUEL Mid-Torque 1/2 in. Impact Wrench w/5 Ah Battery, CPO via ebay $187. These will go fast! 62 and counting sold in 1 hour.
I am actually impressed I been considering buying there battery extended rachet wrench you should do a video on it for us all
I would love to see you do a review on the new Metabo HPT Mid Torque Impact Wrench.
I would like to see you check to see what the torque is by using the hand torque wrench to verify the advertised torque for wach setting on the tool.
The real test is how long they last in a real work environment. For instant it puts out 500+ for 179 but will it last past 1 year in a shop?

at lowes 2 Dewalt impact wrenches with battery and charger for $249, you get the 1/2'' and the smaller 3/8'' wrench.

Is it actually brushless though? “BLDC” makes me think it’s brushed, brushless motors are AC.
