This video explores a hypothetical conventional arms war between the whole of EU and the US. Who could do more damage to the other side? And how would that war go? Which territories could be lost and how many troops might perish? All is touched upon and analyzed. In this first part the setup and the war in the Atlantic is the main focus.
The second and concluding part can be watched here: • EU vs US: Hypothetical...

You said no other countries, but pulling greenland into the conflict would force Canada to pick a side.
Canada has just as much pressencse in green land as the USA.
This would also probably panic Northern Ireland(EU) as it would position them as a staging ground.
Its impossible to think Britian would be able to cope with any of that situation.
They can't afford a war on their shores but if Canada sided with the USA they'd probably have to follow us into a war with Europe again.

My prediction for how the 2nd video will end:
-US keeps Greenland and all other atlantic posessions of the EU
-US fails to take Ireland
- US never even attempts to land a ground force on the EU mainland.
-Binkov will declare a minor victory for the US.
Edit: Second part is out now. It seems I was mostly right.
And why not? Taking land is useless anymore. The only thing that one side would have to do is deny the other force projection.
Taking Ireland would be stupid anyway. They've already got a history of throwing down against invaders and conquerors - like England - and even against themselves for something as stupid as religion - that's why there's a North Ireland. Better to just hammer their military capability using our hideously bloated whale carcass of a defense budget. Really though the likelyhood of this ever happening (even if Trump had a second term, say) is statistically insignificant - at least so long as Russia still has a competent and antagonistic leader (Putin or someone like him), China still has more money and manpower than god, and the Middle East is still a tinderbox where it isn't already actually on fire.

You forgot what Germany could do when it is on war economy
Especially when germany,s industries are giant
Of course Manstein made this comment
You forget their modern day problems like a spoiled society of welfare who wont work in a factory when they can blog about their new overlords for the same pay.
@paul Provenzano You forget that there are systems in Germany that can take out ballistic missiles relatively easily. Furthermore, German aircraft, for example, have far better air-air missiles than the Americans, which are of course passed on to alliance partners in the event of war. And the Americans would be doing a lot right now to get the German AAM's technology.
The German submarines are also quite difficult to detect. I refer to an exercise by the Americans and Germans, where the Americans wanted to practice their submarine defense and the Germans suddenly came with the reports that they have just sunk half of your ships.
The problem would still be that a war cannot be won by air strikes alone. Of course they pave the way, but if they are destroyed by European systems before, it would be a lost war. To bring troops to Europe you need the sea route and imagine how many soldiers would die if you would sink the American ships all one after the other. I mean, experiences were already made with this in the First and Second World Wars.
He discarded many strategic keys to give favorable odds to the US from the beginning. He forgot many Europeans are Slavic in the East and even thought they fear Russia's belligerence in the real world, in the fictional scenario the imminent menace are the US, so these countries would flex their diplomacy with Russia which would be directly interested to lend them a hand under the table.

If the EU actually met their military requirements for nato this video would likely be an entire different story
Although the EU would be stronger than in this video they would still have a slightly smaller economy and therefore would have to spend not just 2%... but MORE than 3.4% (current US % GDP military spending) to even MATCH the US military budget... so even if they met the minimum 2% req they would still be out spent...

The two superpowers, total alomost 800mil souls together
India and Chaina: pathetic
Having a billion people doesn't really matter if half of them spend their time harvesting rice with their bare hands from flooded rice patches. Development of a countries population is much more important then it's population size. We've seen this in WWII with how far the German military advanced into the soviet Union. The soviet had a massive man advantage, but most of their troops were ill equipped, poorly trained, poorly fed and sometimes only partially armed.
The same thing happend late in the war with the German army on the western front, where American troops outclassed the German forces in every aspect, as german equipment was cought up in the Eastern theatre with garrison troops and outdated equipment being stationed at the western front and Atlantic Wall.
The takeaway here is: Numbers don't matter that much. What matters are the multipliers. How well can the effect of a single unit be amplified by it's equipment, intelligence, strategies, tactics and supplies. A squad of elite infantry could beat a division of militia, as has been seen in some firefights in Afghanistan during the German and Canadian deployments there. The whole is more then the sum of it's parts.
@germantopgametv - Very true. I mean the English subjugated the entire Indian subcontinent with a paltry force. Experience counts in a war too. Say what you want about the US military but they're the only army in the world to have combat experience from its lowest ranking NCOs to its highest ranking officers. You'll have people knock the US for getting bogged down in Afghanistan and Iraq but those people miss the point - the US is involved in police action in those states, not all out combat. The convemtional US military in a straight up fight would roll over just about any combination of forces you can out in its way.
@@dongately2817 They still lost in the middle east and especially in Afghanistan, today's wars are not fought traditionally anymore but the US army didn't learn that yet.
@House Plant - The US hasnt been in any wars in the middle east - Afghanistan and Iraq (the 2nd time around) are occupations, not wars. You could say the US fought in the Middle East for a couple weeks, in Iraq in both 1991 and 2003, Afghanistan doesn't even count, but after that all the US military was trying to do is pacify two populations who didn't wanna be pacified. Thats not war - that's babysitting.
@@dongately2817 They had war against the saddam government.Occupation is after you win a war.
Could you do an EU vs China scenario? Would be interested to see how the navies stack up.
What about US/India vs China/Pakistan that’s a WAY more likely scenario in the modern day the way things are going. PLUS all FOUR are nuclear powers so that war won’t have a winner and won’t come out pretty….
So basically France is doing half the job for EU xD
yep
More than half
Without the UK involved, France and Germany are basically it when it comes to nearly anything resembling a military power, at least when compared to the United States.
France is fighting and Germany is paying, building new weapons and getting the fault in case if they lose the war.
@@timon8347 france strongest nation in history

Germani win 0 war since its création 🤡
Do USA vs NATO
Ik USA is in nato, but what if some magical reason US leaves nato
@Muhammad's sexy Pig And so the trolling begins. That was quick.
The US is NATO. Without the US NATO is just a bunch of squiggling limbs.
@Muhammad's sexy Pig without the US in NATO Germany would have a much larger military. That would give the rest of Europe some flashbacks. America being in NATO is mostly to keep old grudges in check
@Muhammad's sexy Pig your pfp is so disrespectful towards muslims. I hope you learn some manners one day.
@Muhammad's sexy Pig the only thing that's a joke is America being a first world nation and charging its citizens for health care
"HELL IN THE ATLANTIC ?"
(Once again)
Great video! Burp at 13:36 lol
This video is a proof if we needed one for European stratégic autonomy.
Don't forget... A Swedish subs has "sunked" an US aircraft carrier
Wasn‘t this a German sub?
In theory. However the damage required is unrealistic. That said knowing enemy subs exist it would have keep them back while using it's own subs to find swedish subs during battery recharge
Thus US would sink your country before the subs could leave port. ;)
@@Tscharlieh Swed l... You can find it on UA-cam
Problem is we only have like 3 of those
Tom Clancy's End War *Intensifies* !
It was indeed supposed to take place in 2020.
fuck yeah
That scenario is really depressing.
Especially the part about the biological weapon.
@@Viguier89 They must've been a year off then

The ocean presents a logistical challenge so great that neither side could hope to gain much.

US cuts off the EU's supply of FIFA 21. Checkmate Euros!
I kinda want such a war now. No fifa anymore here? Really tempting ngl
if no cola i surrender xD
I mean, isn't that a good thing?
If you ever get a chance, do a *Turkey vs. Italy*
There is a novel by Larry Bond titled Cauldron that covers a US versus France/Germany scenario , its a good read.
UK, Russia and Switzerland all just chillin.
Just gotta remember that the top 2 biggest air forces in the world is the:
1. US Air Force
2. US Navy
Also USMC, despite having less fighter jets, it would soon become the first military branch to have all 5th gen fighters by 2030 (F-35B)
The biggest air force in the US is the KFC army of chicken wings
But if you count EU in globality air force number where even ...
And if US attack only US navy is aviable _ atlantic ocean is big-
E.Iproduction capacity VS U.S production capacity is a problem EU as more industrial capcity than U.S.

Italy has a little trick with the Garibaldi carrier, it’s registered as an heli carrier but in realty has also fighter on the deck

They propably will or its on the US side or the European side propably European
@@wesseljacobs2201 knowing what we’re like we’ll find some way to get involved
@@ollie6128 propably 😂 but the big question is the US side or European they would go for the US because there long time allies and a big trading partner. But I think the majority would go to the European side because, there naighbouring countries big allies and propably the biggest trading Allie for the uk and I don't think the uk is just gonna sit there and watch all of Europe taken over because then there all alone with the US wish really isn't that ideal I think. But still even with the royal navy combined I don't no they would still be outplayed but 2 more aircraft carriers help very much of course
@Muhammad's sexy Pig well yeah they would help allot in naval support there not the biggest navy like they where but they still got allot of ships, a bit older but there still usable especially the 2 aircraft carriers. But still even if one side wins a big rocket goes boom another goes boom we get one back and everyone lost that's modern warfare for yah🤷♂️
Would be interesting if america offered UK lots of money, aid and territory and at the end uk cleans up
Holy shit up asking for this for years and I finally get it I missed it
This should be fun to watch US and EU are well trained and military equipment are just as good
