Great tips, i always have solid gate for the bolt side to prevent nose hooks, and wire gate for the rope side, because i like the feeling of clipping a wire gate over a solid gate. All personal preference. Also nice to see you using the firefly, i love my firefly, saved me so much money over the years :)
was wondering if anyone would ask about the firefly, but glad to see someone who recognizes the value in it rather than just saying "just get a bail biner". Ive just permanently got it on one of my spare draws and carry it to use if needed. Honestly I think its a great piece of gear. But 100% agree on that wiregate and solid gate department. i personally prefer clipping a wiregate in but I like the robust feeling of the solidgate as well so why not use both haha
My brother has the alpha sports... I must say I actually really do dig the alpha sports... im a single pitch climber for the most part anyway so the weight has never been that much of a problem
Have several climbing stores with great variety around and I sometimes end up strolling there just to fiddle around with some gear and sometimes and up buying more "essential" gear.
Man, you make really well presented and informative videos. Very useful, thank you!

@@BeorOng yeah I’m not sure why more people don’t know about the firefly. Really expensive piece of kit but so worth it!
My first quickdraws were the Mad Rock Concorde 6 pack. Ended up getting another pack shortly after. Light strong & durable. Great price usually too!
Sick, dunno many who sport the madrock draws
Great video! Really appreciate the tips!

I'm quite partial to the alpha sport.
Ignore the weight.. delicious gate feel is what matters 😂
