Cherry, noclipping allows you to go through walls and go straight to the triggers.

if map designers didnt exist then who the fuck made all the maps for all the games? The tasks for a game are divided by sections, some code, some make textures, some make lighting, some make the maps. Map designers are not only random people that use dev tools to make mods.

well, technically you're right, but keep in mind not a long time ago 30minutes was considered fast and a bit before, it was +-40minutes.
So one in the other, i do think there is a chance that one day someone will find a new big cut and get under the 20minutes.

You don't just learn to do something like that in a day, it takes years if practice to master

In every single legit speedrun those same darn marines always exploit Gordon Freeman's fear of marines in dark rooms and are able to capture him, even if he is a maniac that somehow flies around at the speed of light. Well, Gordon got real fed up with this and decided that it was time for him to use his fourth dimension traveling powers to finally escape their grasp.

It looks like a lot of maps are intersecting each other, it’d be fun to have everything loaded in one single map

While I appreciate that somebody took the time to learn the fastest way to clip through each section of each level, the regular exploit speedruns are sooo much more entertaining.
noclip is what destroyed gaming for me as a kid. I knew it was just games and all, but when I saw the actual simplicity of the levels, it was like having a magic trick exposed and explained. I saw the matrix. my fuck having to go through your first life crisis at 13.

by pressing "mwheelup" execute "forward; jump; crouch"

Cool to see that the best HL1-speedrun is only 9 min faster than by using noclip. This shows how optimized this run is even more. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing noclip runs for other games

sv_cheats doesnt take effect immediate.
You have to load a new map so that sv_cheats can work.

how does one get a bunny hop script for HL like you have?
can you use nghl for opposing force and blue shift?
u can adjust speed of the noclip and freeman's run speed :/ but it was something like that u had to add 1 script to hl1 folder and then adjust :)

i mean commands for bunny hopping. Because when i try to make it, i cant gain more speed. I tried sv_airaccelerate, sv_maxspeed. But your bunny/long jumps are awesome.
Actually, i tried to gain speed with 0 gravity and it worked. But i still cant understand how to gain more speed while bunnyhoping.

That's true. Those triggers load the rest or more of the level, he couldn't no clip to the end level, without the triggers he'd just have to select the last level
have you tested if any of the maps are faster to bhop? or would that be against the rules of the noclip run?

i feel that this speedrun will actually take time to master and here every milisecond will count. In some places bhopping is faster then noclip and finding those places to make the run faster is the hardest
