Took delivery of my GX 550 OT+ in Nori Green two weeks ago and am absolutely loving it! Saw your other GX 550 video and am very impressed with your ability to explain things efficiently and clearly. I am beyond excited for this one! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for tuning in, I'm glad this deep dive is helping you get to know your new GX better! Congratulations on your GX 550 OT+ I think the Nori Green with the green Ultrasuede detail inside is the best color combo!
This is a great resource for anyone owning/considering buying a Lexus GX 550.
Thanks for making these series!

This woman is a pro. WOW! So much info delivered expertly.

So excited to have this available. I enjoyed watching your basics tutorial before my GX came in and now I'm enjoying finding new things you've taught me since I got my GX. Thank you so much for the time you and your team put into this! When I picked up my GX from the dealer...he told me he had a UA-cam I should watch. I told him that if it was Michelle from Northside Lexus, I was way ahead😀
Thanks so much for being here and for tuning back in with me for the GX Deep Dive! I hope you are enjoying your new GX!

@@rayandolina11 They sure are! 🤣I still can't believe so many people watch them. LOL! I only started doing them because of Covid when I needed a way to do a contactless new vehicle delivery. I never dreamed they would keep going. 😀 I have a lot of fun making them, even though and so glad they help!
@@NorthsideLexus A Star is Born! Looking at LX700h. Already have an allocation due in March! Looking forward to those videos! No pressure though! 😝
@@rayandolina11 🤣🤣🤣well my friend Caleb will not be getting out of his GX anytime soon, so I may have to borrow your LX700h to make the video 😜Just kidding...I'll find one someplace.

I appreciate your kind words. Thank you so much for being here! Congratulations on your GX 550 Overtrail! It's such an incredible vehicle!
wow..this is a great reference..over 2 hours 40 minutes...
Thanks so much for tuning in to learn with me! Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for this. This video should have been published by Lexus (shame on them for releasing a vehicle with such confusing systems, like its cruise IMO horrible control and not bothering to create something like your video).
While I still can't figure out how to make the annoying Rear Seat idiot light to go away (if ANYTHING is on the seats, even just a box of Kleenex, it will light up), or the constant very distracting beeps of its various warning systems, but I picked up a lot of useful info from your video. Stuff that even my dealer didn't know.
seatbelt lights are triggered by opening a rear door...also rear seat reminder in the instruments. That can be turned off but there is another one in the Lexus app if you don't want the notification....
Thanks for tuning in with me. As @berniekitts1786 mentioned, the rear seat reminder, seatbelt warmings, etc. are triggered by opening a back door before your drive. If all of the seatbelt reminder lights come on when you start the car, they will usually clear in about a minute without a chime alert. Some people will buckle the rear seatbelts with no passengers if they prefer, but there is not a weight sensor in the rear seats. Just the front. Thanks again for being here.
This was a great video thank you for taking the time to make this.
Question, how can you turn off the fake engine noise? To me luxury means quiet and smooth driving.
Hi! What model and year is your Lexus? Are you asking about Active Sound Control that is on some of the F-Sport and F Performance models?
I have the 2024 Lexus GX 550 Overtrail +
And yes I am talking about the active sound
I understand it’s on the GX 550 too?
@@angelmedina4260 checking on that for you. Usually on vehicles that have that feature there is either a dial to control it or it is controlled in Settings > General > Utility > Active Sound Control. But I'm not aware of that being on the GX models and there is no mention of engine sound being piped into the cabin on this vehicle. It does have a fan that can be heard and the twin-turbo v-6 sounds different from the previous v-8, but they don't seem to be adding sound through the speakers to try to mask that.
Do you have suggestions on the best way to setup two profiles in the vehicle? Is there a way to have the app on two phones with remote features, but have two profiles in the vehicle depending on which key is used? It seems like i can only get one phone with remote features (i.e. one unique login ID), but maybe there is a way to do that? Thank you for the great, detailed video!
Hi! Here are my tips about profiles:
- Only the Primary profile will add the VIN to their Lexus app and have Remote Connect show in the Lexus app.
- Secondary profiles will be welcomed on the car screen, they can have their own Radio favorites and other customizable settings.
- For the best results with profiles: make sure each profile has a linked key, make sure you lock the vehicle (even in your garage at home), and unlock from the driver's door handle for best profile switching, seat adjustment, etc.
- Each profile can also have their phone paired to their profile in the vehicle and when the profile is recognized the phone will connect to the system.

I hope this helps! Thanks so much for being here!
Lexus the best, this is my line.
Most of Gx500 owners will follow you if you start adding videos that explain how to
Oil change
Brakes works,
Codes pop up
And all mechanical problems fix. Etc….
Trust me you will have fans all over
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm happy to answer questions about codes that pop up that are related to the technology or safety features on the vehicle, but since I am a Technology Specialist and not a Technician, I won't be able to offer tutorials on the other types of work you are wanting. Thanks for being here.
Has Lexus provided any guidance on how to change the gauge cluster units from mph to kph and vice versa?
This is crucial is you ever use the vehicle transborder.
Hi! If you have the new GX, check the Setting menu: Settings > General > Language & Units > Set Automatically (Measurements/Units) and see what options are available for you. If you have an older model GX or different system with the menu items controlled through the steering wheel, you'll make that selection through the Units settings in the multi-information display. Thanks for checking in.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much for all of your support!
NICE CAR
The GX is awesome! Thanks so much for tuning in!
Only thing you didn’t mention is how to turn off and on parking sensors for going in a car wash
Hi! I go over more of the features that are on the main display in Part 2 of the TX video, which is filling in for the Interface Deep Dive while I edit it. I'm actually also hoping to make a tech Tip Tuesday video about the car wash since I am getting more questions about what all to turn off. I hope you found the Shortcut. Click on the "ice cube tray" menu tab in the middle lower section of the main screen, then swipe from right to left to see all of the on/off controls for things like the Parking Sensors, other safety equipment, and other comfort & convenience feature on the GX. Hope this helps! Thanks for being here!
Remote start needs a subscription??? That's messed up.
Remote Start has required some level of trial or paid subscription to keep the DCM active on the vehicle for many years. I wish they at least kept the key fob remote as a possibility, but it also requires the DCM to be active. Since the Service Connect trial is for 10 years, many people are able to use the key fob remote start for free for 10 years. Hope this helps to clarify.
@ 10 years makes it palatable, but the concept leaves a bad taste... continuing to pay for features that you kinda paid for already. Plus, the cloud based navigation leaves some questions, like what happens when 4G is turned off at the towers. 5G and 6G are coming and I think the Nav system will be bricked.
@@user-cx2bk6pm2f Just like when 3G was taken down by the telematics companies, any vehicle or other smart devices that uses 4G will go off line when 4G is taken down. The pace of technology is moving faster than ever and it can be a challenging part of long term vehicle ownership since many manufactures use these same kinds of services. Since I am at a local dealership and just teach people how to use the equipment on their new vehicles, I would recommend leaving your feedback on the Lexus USA channel page so the Lexus developers can see it. Thanks for tuning in with me to learn more about the vehicles.
While my RX was getting serviced, i look at this, $114,000.00
That sounds more like LX pricing. Unless there were some off roading accessories and after market wheels? Sounds like it was a very decked out version. There are a lot of requests for extras on this one.
@ryanrock2 WRONG Ma’am
Sarah is the new “Jenny”.
LOL!
