There’s an app called YUKA and scans the code on the products you buy and tells you if they”re safe to use . Sprouts has affordable clean body lotion and body wash for example. Also Trader Joe’s carry some clean products, download the app. It helps. I make my own body lotion with homemade beef tallow (which you can buy or ask your butcher ) lots of UA-cam videos on the subject. Also coconut oil and jojoba . They’ve affordable and easy to use . 😊 I’m on a budget too and don’t trust commercial products much either .
Thanks! I stopped using Vaseline Intensive Care lotion all over my body and my Fibromyalgia got A LOT better! My rheumatologist was shocked, which is disappointing bec it never occurred to him that crap we use at home can impact pain. Petrolatum products are now being recommended by plastic surgeons because they are so processed. We can’t really know WHAT they’re doing to products even if the process is supposed to make them safe.
I use organic castor oil and my skin and eye lashes. Bought in dark glass container. Also I sparingly use deodorant because of the aluminum. I have noticed since I changed my diet six years ago to a low low carb and no sugar, when I do sweat, I don’t have that stinky smell which I can assume is from all the food additives. I am also less sensitive to sun. I go to a local health food store for my vitamins and any other healthy options I need. I spend more time reading labels than I ever had before.
I go through so much shampoo because I live in a tropical climate, have hard water, and have curly hair that needs tons of moisture. One of my issues with a lot of the "natural" shampoos is that I'm allergic to some natural ingredients that will make my scalp itch. One ingredient is jojoba oil. I can handle it on my body in moisturizers but I cannot use it on my face or scalp. Another one is rosemary. I use goat milk moisturizer and a brand called Bubble and Bee body butter. I like Alaffia body wash and I like Nature's Little Secret hair care products. Recently I have been using Megababe deodorant and I think it's one of the better working deodorants for it being a natural brand. I used to use Bubble and Bee deodorants but since having a kid, I tend to stink a lot faster and the regular natural deodorants haven't been cutting it for me.
Avoid harsh liquid hand soap too … I make my own with Bronner’s Pure Castile soap … mix it with water, add a few drops of essential oil and add it to a pretty pump bottle 🧴
I don't use deodorant. My mother had a breast tumor wjen i was a child and her doctor told her to skip it altogether. I live in Portugal, but i don't have a lot of option in here. But i try to reduce my toxic intake. I also don't wear body lotion (only almond oil and it works just fine). For shampoo, i have some problems. I'm alergic to coconut. Most natural products have coconut oil in them... So i use a small portion of shampoo and only 3 times a month. The other washes are shampoo free (with rye flour or chickpea flour)... My conditioner is apple sider vinager. I need to improve my home quality and decrease toxicity in that area , for sure.
If you want to quit smelling, then you have to change your diet: no sugar whatsoever. Go full carnivore for a month and do some modest exercise to sweat it out. Your cat and dog will appreciate it.
I looked into purchasing some Under Luna shampoo. Jaw dropping expensive! Would you be able to recommend some less expensive alternatives? Thank you for the videos, they are great.
I started using Meow Meow Tweet deorderant and the cream as well as stick are super easy to apply I'm happy with your suggestions. Also the shampoo and conditioner are just great. Hair feels clean manageable light smell makes me feel I'm doing a good thing for health.
I find it odd that most women do not seem to care much about all of the chemicals that they willingly put all over their body. The mentality seems to be to look and smell nice today...and not worry about later.
Great question! I don't think it's necessary to be all or nothing. There are several safer perfume options and I'll make a video to help you with this. I also reviewed over 13 brands of perfumes that will be included in the updated version of my program the Safe Ingredient Academy 3.0. safeingredientacademy.com/waitlist
I'm also a perfume addict. I spray my toxic perfumes on the outside bottom of my pants now, as far away from my face as possible and never on skin. As for my "safer" perfumes (clean brands or botanicals) I use rich hippie, living libations, Gisou hair perfume, sometimes Lush as I've read they have now gone paraben and phthalates free. I'm still working on switching everything but I have to sell DOZENS of bottles and it's a long process.

I recall hearing that certain essential oils can be dangerous to unborn babies during pregnancy - do you happen to know if that’s true? Thank you so much for the video!
I haven’t seen studies on this but can’t say they aren’t problematic for unborn babies. There simply isn’t enough evidence, so practicing the precautionary principle is important

How to create a product without preservatives such as parabens or phenoxyethanol so they won't go bad or mouldy e.g. mascaras which if it could causes eye infection might lead to blindness??
In the same way that doctors have been recommending antibiotics that damage the gut and steroids that damage organs. I follow Mark Hyman, too (Harvard trained former trad doc that shifted to functional med), Dr Berg and more other docs that are becoming woke. Truth is toxicology and nutrition are taught in med school only for a semester or so. Med schools focus more on cure than prevention. Sales reps of pharmas approach docs to recommend their products for a reason. And if you sww visible "cure or solution" from a current ailment presented, then it seems that "it worked." Unkowingly the invisible long-term effects cost us, too. Cancer, gut-damaging options, and endocrine disruptors are real.
