Usually, when I talk about horror, it's mainly classic scary movies from the 70s and the 80s, however; there are some 90s horror films that I do love to watch. Misery is my top favorite. Kathy Bates acting is stunning. I'd place her right there with Sissy Spacek when it comes to best performance in a Stephen King adaptation. Also... Wes Craven's Scream franchise and Wes Craven's New Nightmare are my other 90s horror movies.
I'm so glad you had The Faculty on this list, it was one of the first horror films I ever watched and I love it but it scared the crap out of me at the time! I'd also add The Silence of the Lambs, Braindead, and Interview With the Vampire to this list

I'm so glad that you enjoyed Candyman! I grew up watching it, (I'm 2years older than you) and its a big part of my childhood and one of the reasons I'm such a big horror fan!
I feel like the words I hear her say most often are “my favorite genre is..which is controversial” like people being pressed over her opinion are so confusing like..just leave instead of being negative ?😂
@@sarkaztik3228 I didn’t say people couldn’t have opinions, people that have a different opinion can comment . It’s people that are angry about her opinions that I was commenting on. Kind of thought that was obvious. But okay lol.
I watched Host the other day and I was SHOOK! it started off kinda slow but man once it picks up I was hiding under my covers and everything! Definitely reminds me of Paranormal 🙂
I just want to say that my favorite “horror movie” is from 1991. The silence of the lambs. I count it as a horror , but TeChNeCly it’s a crime thriller.
This list takes me back to my younger self discovering and starting to love horror movies. Love the list, I guess it makes sense, we're the same age :)
So far I love ( because i have so many to watch yet) Scream The Faculty I Know What You Did Last Summer I Still Know What You Did Last Summer Perfect Blue Candyman The Craft 7seven The Silence of the Lambs Deep Blue Sea not so horror honorable mentions (childhood ahaha) Hocus Pocus Don't look under the bed Halloweentown Addams Family
I was born in ‘84 and Scream was the first horror movie I ever saw and it will forever be a classic for me. I was also OBSESSED with The Faculty in my teens. Partially because of Josh but it’s just so so so so so good. Thinking about these two lives reminds me of how annoying my family thinks I am when I recite the lines verbatim. Also LOVE House on Haunted Hill and boo to everyone who doesn’t like it.
Thank you for mentioning "Jacob's Ladder"- such a great movie and I think alot of people haven't seen it (or even heard of it) unfortunately.... this is one of those movies that requires multiple viewings- you pick up different stuff every time you watch it......
You should do a scary shows series, I’d love to see your opinions of servant (more suspense and confusion) and the scream series (obvi) I think that would be so cool
I found your list refreshingly good. Here are some of my picks: Child's Play 2(1990) Subspecies (1991) Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (1993) Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight(1995) The Craft(1996) Scream(1996) I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) Seven(1995) Silence Of The Lambs(1991) Urban Legend(1998) Idle Hands (1999)
Not sure if its just because you haven't seen it , but Exorcist 3 demands your attention. Haha. Also silence of the lambs, perfect blue, fire walk with me , tremors, flatliners, dusk till dawn, dead alive , In the mouth of madness, bride of chucky , ravenous , bad moon , and the dark half is kind of fun
I love your lists. They inspire me to speak up about some of my favorite films that as aren’t well received. For October I’m doing a list of my 31 favorite horror films from 2000-2019 and I’m finally acknowledging my love for The Ruins, Cry_Wolf and The Haunting in Connecticut. Lol I know...I know .... but I love those movies and I don’t care who knows it.
My List (No order): - The Sixth Sense - Scream - Candyman - Misery - Blair Witch Project - Army Of Darkness (I know it's not a technically a horror film but Idc) - Wes Craven's New Nightmare - Sleepy Hollow - Silence Of The Lambs - Graveyard Shift - Ice Cream Man
Great vid.Of the horrors i've seen these are my top 25: 25 The Cube 24 Psycho (remake) 23 Jack Frost 22 John Carpenter's Vampires 21 Cruel Jaws 20 Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth 19 I Know What You Did Last Summer 18 Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday 17 Halloween: H20 16 Scream 2 15 Arachnophobia 14 Tremors 13 Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare 12 Omen 4: The Awakening 11 The Silence Of The Lambs 10 Child's Play 3 9 Wes Craven's New Nightmare 8 Tremors 2: Back To Perfection 7 Urban Legend 6 Deep Blue Sea 5 Child's Play 2 4 Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers 3 Bride Of Chucky 2 The Excorcist 3 1 Scream
I haven't seen this movie yet... But there's a semi-new horror movie called "Possum" that was made in 2018 and I reeeaaaally want to know your opinion on it! Again, I haven't actually seen it yet, but the trailer definitely made a strange impression.. Another great video btw! Scream is my fave horror series ever. Cliché, I know, but I just can't resist 🤷🙂
Do you think so? I don't think that the original holds up very well. The singing is a bit over done, and the overt Christianity vs paganism thing just doesn't work today because society has become so much more godless. It might also be because I am an American, and we have no established church, so a police officer being officially outraged by the pagans makes little sense over here. Plus, I like the message of the remake - feminism is a murderous cult.
Agree! The original wicker man is an absolute classic from the 70’s It’s considered folk horror ( for those who don’t know)which has become very popular these days. At first I was put off by the music in it as well but I realized that it was a bit unnerving to know that they commit sacrifices and sing be merry as if nothing horrible happens. Don’t think she’ll ever have a video about 70’s horror or anything before that too much exploitation horror in that decade And probably anything before the 70s she probably find boring
I just watched Se7en for the first time today and holy crap was it good!! Everything about it was done to perfection. I thought Brad and Morgan worked super well together, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the deaths were all really creative, and don't even get me started on the last half hour of the movie! I am actually studying for a degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Crime Scene Investigation so it was interesting to watch it and realize how that'll kind of be my life after college too...😶
What a great list ! It hits close to home because I grew up with those films in my teens. It must be impossible for audiences today to actually understand the impact of Blair Witch Project, Sixth Sense or even Seven. My favorite horror film from the 90s would be “Silence of the Lambs” if it can be considered Horror, if not then i’d say Seven.
Toxic movie sets. Now that's a series I can get behind. Girl, I'll wait.
The Island of Dr. Moreau!
Hell yea!

Other people can have opinions too, not all opinions that don't match hers are negative. Stop being a delicate snowflake.
@@sarkaztik3228 I didn’t say people couldn’t have opinions, people that have a different opinion can comment . It’s people that are angry about her opinions that I was commenting on. Kind of thought that was obvious. But okay lol.
Stephen King's IT
The Faculty
Blade
Dusk till Dawn
Spawn
Cube
Arachnophobia
Leprechaun
Wishmaster
Brainscan
Silence of lambs is more of a thriller drama but it has scary elements too. A classic.
Love the list, I guess it makes sense, we're the same age :)
great and amazing video BUUUUUUT , how did you forget I know what you did last summer 1997 and 1998 ???? I AM CRYING

Great list! Just recently came across your channel. Great stuff
It makes me feel so old that you are first experiencing some of these films for the first time. But do your own opinion of course.
my favourite horror movie is scream and i also really love the faculty so i’m really psyched you put it on your list!
Also LOVE House on Haunted Hill and boo to everyone who doesn’t like it.
always come to your videos when I need to watch something. I just watched Triangle and really enjoyed it!
also watched Host right after and just got to the part when you talked about it on here haha
Thank you for mentioning "Jacob's Ladder"- such a great movie and I think alot of people haven't seen it (or even heard of it) unfortunately.... this is one of those movies that requires multiple viewings- you pick up different stuff every time you watch it......
There are several subtle hints at the ending of Jacobs Ladder that are only realized by viewers who have watched it multiple times
Please can you make a list of the best of in 80 s and 70s
I loved your choices. I only just watched Jacob's Ladder last night for the first time, enjoyed it.
Yeeesss my favorite horror channel has posted. Its a good day
You should do a scary shows series, I’d love to see your opinions of servant (more suspense and confusion) and the scream series (obvi) I think that would be so cool
I found your list refreshingly good. Here are some of my picks:
Child's Play 2(1990)
Subspecies (1991)
Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (1993)
Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight(1995)
The Craft(1996)
Scream(1996)
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
Seven(1995)
Silence Of The Lambs(1991)
Urban Legend(1998)
Idle Hands (1999)
Fantastic picks! Definitely some great movies here - and a fantastic trip down memory lane! :)
I don't know why but I could hear an hour of you just talking about your fave movies, i put this one on while i drew and it's just super interesting

Another great video btw! Scream is my fave horror series ever. Cliché, I know, but I just can't resist 🤷🙂
I've seen and love most of these but you also gave me a lot to check out, thanks!!
I love these types of videos!!! Thank you!!
Could you make a video of horror movies you watch to get excited for each season? Thank you!
Hey Sarah, have you seen the original Wicker Man from 1973. It's a million times better than the Nicolas Cage one
Agree! The original wicker man is an absolute classic from the 70’s
It’s considered folk horror ( for those who don’t know)which has become very popular these days.
At first I was put off by the music in it as well but I realized that it was a bit unnerving to know that they commit sacrifices and sing be merry as if nothing horrible happens.
Don’t think she’ll ever have a video about 70’s horror or anything before that too much exploitation horror in that decade
And probably anything before the 70s she probably find boring
Oh come on. Nicholas Cage sparking someone out whilst dressed as a bear. And don't forget " not the bees"!!!!!
Yes the original is super creepy and just can't be recreated
my absolute favorite movie is Scream (1996). Wes Craven really remodeled the whole slasher subgenre, its truly amazing
House on Haunted Hill was one of the first horror movies I ever watched and I loved it. It was nice to hear it mentioned ❤️
thank you for mentioning The Faculty! I feel like nobody talks about it. It’s honestly one of my favorite movies of all time.
David Fincher may be one of my favorite directors. The looks of his films are amazing
I just watched Se7en for the first time today and holy crap was it good!! Everything about it was done to perfection. I thought Brad and Morgan worked super well together, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the deaths were all really creative, and don't even get me started on the last half hour of the movie! I am actually studying for a degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Crime Scene Investigation so it was interesting to watch it and realize how that'll kind of be my life after college too...😶
I remember seeing a few of these at the theater, so the nostalgia is on point with this list.
I love your videos so much!
