I grew up watching Power Rangers SPD on Jetix... and seeing the comparison between Power Rangers SPD and Dekaranger makes me blown away with how different the two shows were in terms of characters and story even while having the same footage... Seeing SPD makes me nostalgic and happy remembering my kid days, while Dekaranger makes me feel like I just saw an alternate universe cut of a piece of my childhood... trippy but facisnating.
For me it was the reverse, I grew up with Dekaranger
This feels like watching the snyder cut and comparing with the wheadon cut
@@raidenstark315 I can see the comparison. But in this scenario, both cuts are actually pretty good, rather than one cut being so obviously rushed that it tanked on it’s audience.
I'm watching Dekaranger for the first time and I feel almost the same. It's very impressive how different the story and the characters are, even when using the same footage

I always loved how Dekared entered the Dekarangers by destroying the villain the others were trying to capture alive. It always makes me chuckle XD
The Pat Striker/Delta Runner scene wasn't adapted because Jack didn't used it until the Megazord scene

Hasbro really needs to bring back Koichi Sakamoto as the executive producer and stunt choreographer and head-stunt coordinator for Power Rangers.

Not really. They're both about special police who deal with alien crime
I can feel a large difference in both these shows. Dekaranger feels more like they’re actual space police, whereas PR SPD feels more like they’re a military organization. In Dekaranger, they often try and stop criminals from selling weapons and things like that. In SPD they’re trying to stop an alien invasion.
Yep, only a military will hire some thief or criminal in an extremely hard time, but it is totally unsuitable action in a police organization. Also, the plot of Omega ranger has a really bad impact on time, which may cause an enormous change in the future. I think it is an extremely unresponsible action, especially for an organization like "Space Patrol Delta"... SPD did a lot of things better than dekaranger such as adding more si-fi elements, more overarching plot, and some better character development, but it also has some fatal issues like I stated above, therefore, I prefer dekaranger honestly.

(Yes I know they get sentenced by space court with time shenanigans) The former feels more like what cops should do. While the latter deals more like irl cops lmao
You know you're in Bizarroworld when Power Rangers features LESS talking during the fight than its Sentai Counterpart.
To be fair, Dekaranger came out in 2004 and Power Rangers SPD came out in 2005, that was like *YEEEAARRS* before the Neo-Saban era Power Rangers TV shows came along and fucked up everything for us to enjoy about the show.

When Disney owned PR, almost all of the seasons were on par with Sentai. Saban just HAD to buy it back. Thank god Hasbro bought it.

Boy, I can't believe SPD might have been THE best series in Power Rangers because comparing it to Dekaranger I always have mixed thoughts about them.
It was had actual character development a good story that came together, great action and it’s own footage so much love put to it than all the others.

Imo, I like Banban's hotheaded personality more and how it starts his rivalry with Hoji. I'm only 6 episodes into Dekaranger and hadn't started PR SPD, but I feel like I'm going to like Dekaranger more.

Eri makes a friend who's a robot and (spoiler) he dies in the end of the episode, making Eri become sad
The Reflection episode of SPD demolishes that.
When I saw super Sentai doggie I was kind of scared.

Dekaranger's Doggie was better, he seemed to have a real fur,the SPD Doggie had a scale skin,and dogs don't have that type of skin

Yeah, I definitely agree and besides it doesn’t make sense because Jack didn’t want to be a Power Ranger at first unlike Banban who was already a DekaRanger and willing to go to Earth without hesitation and Sky has a part of Tetsu’s personality as he is a composite character.
the interesting thing is that, after a long time, the Americans learned to speak by making signs with the transformed uniform!

+rangersentaiguy2 Oh yeah!!! That is a bit of a problem when it comes to comparing footages from the 90's Power Rangers seasons to their respective sentai counterparts. Especially, since most of the sentai stock footages tend to show more action and with very little details with suspensions of disbelief.

RPM was Disney's attempt to kill the franchise. Besides, Go-on Green and Black had better choreography for their henshin (due to being in sync with the other three) than Operators Green and Black for their morph (that weird "air grasp" thing).

But don't get me wrong SPD is still the best Power Rangers ever that I seen, it's just I was born first watching Super Sentai. I do have to admit that some of the Super Sentai are boring but the the reason why Power Rangers sean and transformation looks go cool is because the American company that do Power Rangers have more leftover money to add little more details to Power Rangers to attract the little kids.

Both are special in their own way. Most people have to shut up about what is better there, Sentai or PR.
Especially I hate all those saying PR is better than Sentai because this gives a disrespect for the original.
PR tries their best to adapt their Sentai Counterparts and make it appealing to western audiences with a different tv standard for kid shows, so minus the alcohol, sexual jokes, people getting killed and mass of blood.
So their styles and cultures for the shows from both franchises are different and it depends on what each fan prefers.
I enjoyed PR much as a kid and as I found Sentai it changed and I came to compare them.But one Problem I think to see Power Rangers Seasons often have a bit more than Sentai are unexplained plotholes and stuff that makes no sense and the motives for each series is toned down.
For Context: The reason why Ban finished off the bad guys cuz the main villian cause the base of the dekarangers to have power outrage in a limited time, it means they couldn't arrest him normally so he finishs him off.

+xChasingLegends What for the Sentai version? Well, I think they were trying to make him look more realistic than the US version. But, what's really a misstep is the mouth movement for the puppetry. But, yeah, I guess he does look more like an actual humanoid dog than the US version does. Still, they needed more work on the mouth movement. But, that's just me.
They didn't have much money to make him look better

What I mean is that They had to make The Dekaranger Suits, Montser suits, zords, megazords, and weapons. They didn't have enough money. SPD had money because Power Ranger only does a little original stuff.

What matters is how well the execution of both fights can be done as long as it's not getting in the way of the main plot of the series, not like what Power Rangers Megaforce and Super Megaforce did with endless fight scenes, after fight scenes, after fight scenes, after fight scenes again, and again, and again, and again, and again with little to no story!!!! Seriously, I'd expected this kind of lazy-ass production and story-telling coming from Michael Bay, but not from fricken' Jonathan Tzachor!!!!

I don't know. I mean, for me at least, I kind of liked the story and the characters in SPD a lot more than in Dekaranger. Don't get me wrong, Dekaranger is cool and all, but....it's just waaaaaay too damn weird for me to handle. I mean, really, there was like *WAAAAAAY* too much weird shit going on in Dekaranger. Which is sadly, one of the reasons why prefer better sentai shows like Magiranger, Gokaiger, Gekiranger and Hurricanger, to an extant. But, again, that's just me.
