Thank you sooo much for the video I have my daughter 11 years old with T1D we struggle a lot with the snacks and the breakfast you have help us a lot thank you again for your time and your videos 🙏 god bless you for helping people that struggle like me ☺️
Overnight oats are great Meg and don’t cause a huge spike due to the oats being in the fridge overnight. I love the avocado toast idea Meg and am going to try it next month.
Your t1d videos are very great ❤ I have diabetes for 10 years and you are not alone Meg you are very tough person here ❤ please take care of yourself and your diabetes and your family too
Hi Meg!! Can I ask about how much extra insulin or carbs you are adding for your oatmeal? I was diagnosed with T1D last November and have been on the Omnipod5 for about 2 months now. My carb ratio in the morning is tighter than during the rest of the day, I pre-bolus 20-25 minutes, but no matter what I can’t seem to reduce the spike from my steel cut oats. I assume you are just adding some extra carbs into the OP5 calculator to get that extra insulin boost for the oats?
I go almost double with the nutrition facts label says, and yes just put that amount right into the carbs on bolus calculator. Trial and error works best to find what works for you!💛
@franymadison5855 Maybe try overnight oats as due to them being cold you still get a spike but nothing to be concerned about. It works the same as putting rice and pasta in the fridge overnight as the spike from cold rice and pasta is not a huge one that you are fighting to bring down

How about pregnancy with T1D?
I try to root my videos in my own personal experience, and haven't gone through pregnancy yet! In a few years expect lots of pregnancy content 😊
