Thank you! I always wondered if the large blocks would worth the big price, and now, that my son has 4 years old and still plays with wooden blocks, I think I will purchase them.
Wow! I like your calm presentation style & how easy going/natural your voice & tone are! Plus, I enjoyed hearing your recommendations! Your plat room looks great! Thank you!
Wow! A video worth watching. Almost all the vids I see are brand new, haven't been tried and tested, or it's toys like the new Barbie car. Thank you! You've done a lovely job. ❤
Loved this! I’ve never invested in Grimms but have always wondered if it was worth it! I was really excited about the wobble board but I think that is definitely our least played with big item.
I really appreciate the honesty of this video! We don't have anything except the Nugget on this list but I've always wondered whether all these 1 year olds actually utilize these enough to be worth the investment. I was more familiar with preschoolers using them! Have you found the Nugget gets more use now that it's 2? Ours is definitely well loved but I do wish we could do more with it 🤔
Ours gets tons of use! Our two year old can't move them around on his own, but as long as I build new configurations every few days, they get tons of play! And yes, we can build more complex climbing structures with two that hold his interest more, although sometimes we only build with one and he is usually ok with that as well.
I think the gorilla glue on that marble tree gives it so much character honestly ! Haha...looks pretty cool actually. I’m kinda just at this point where I’m over everything being ‘esthetically’ appealing & PERFECT all the time with kids toys because they just don’t seem to care at all about that stuff the way we parent do 😆😉 plus they outgrow things so quick I’ve found, none of it lasts forever or stays like new, has to get some good love then the kids actually enjoy it more 👍 maybe that’s just how my kids are at least
Good to check the ethics and sourcing policies of different brands- to check cheaper brands are still sourcing wood sustainably/paying people fair wages etc. Quality over quantity ✨
So funny because we have a wobbel board and my 19 month old loves it and plays with it everyday. We don’t have a nugget or a pickler though since we don’t have room. I chose the name brand because it was made out of solid wood (instead of engineered wood) so it can hold much more weight and can be used even by adults.
It's funny how different every child is! It makes toy review videos difficult since what works in our house may be completely different to those watching
Hey. I clicked on your link for the play scarves, but it says sorry we can’t find the page. Can you please tell me the brand name and size. So I can look them up elsewhere to buy. Thank you. 😊
Oh man I had just convinced myself we didn’t need a Grimms block set and now I’m back to feeling like we do 😅😂 I loved hearing your opinion on these items! The Nugget is absolutely loved and used every day here too, not just for play but also for lounging, so I’m glad we splurged on it :)
We love our rainbow even though it’s not Montessori, I’m debated getting the half circles to build dollhouses and things with them. We also have those scarves and they’re a huge hit between my 1 and three year old as they get played with everyday. We don’t have a nugget as we don’t have the space but we got a Piklar for a great deal. It is a bit smaller though, it would be more fun if we had space for a slide. I’ll probably sell it after my son outgrows it. My 3.5 year old likes to climb on it and jump off the top, so she still enjoys it. I’ve been eyeing that ball rainbow toy at Green Elephant as they have it for a good price. I wish I could find those blocks used.
Thanks!! Also you can use a small chisel to get rid of the dripping gorilla glue. Just be careful but I've had to chisel off dry gorilla glue many times.😵💫
Such a great video! I have a one year old and I had to physically restrain myself from buying the Grimm's Wooden Rainbow, the Grimm's blockset, and Grapat loose parts for her first Christmas. I am making myself wait until she is three. I am definitely someone who buys things too early and I want to make sure she will actually play with the things that come into our home, as we are very short on space.
Thanks you for this Video. I was eying the Lovevery blockset, now I feel that maybe we need to find a way to store the large block pyramide 🙈 Does ist come in the pastell colors as well?
Ok, don't despair here. As my kids have aged, they're using and loving toys that were unappealing to them when they were little bc they were a bit too technical or required more imagination that eventually comes with age for most, some are more intense "imaginers," others less so). My oldest two are 4 and almost 6, baby's 20m. She's more advanced at her age than my older kids were bc she observes and engages with them. She's appropriately using them as well. Those blocks look cool as heck. And the marble tree... But kids eventually lose interest in single function toys (maybe not, enlighten me if so).
We have experienced this too! Things that are not well loved eventually get played with as he ages! We love the blocks for many open ended uses, but yeah the marble tree is definitely single function. The kids do gravitate towards it when brought out though
Dear parents! Let the kids choose their favourite toys and souvenir toys!!! When the kids are very good, then they deserve toys. Every good behaviour kid should have plush toys, legos, puzzles, figures, dolls, souvenir toys, toys from cartoons, balls, table games, blocks, cars, outside toys and etc. Please buy only those toys, what the kids very want!!!! I know many toys and souvenir toys are very expensive, but when the kids are very good all the times, then sometimes they deserve these things!!! Please be kind parents and make Your kids very happy with these toys, what the kids have chosen and don’t say NO all the times, when the kids very deserves those toys for good behaviour!!! Respectfully, Astra Viil ❤🥰🙏
I never seen none of these toys aww wow I like the big climbing blocks and small colorful blocks yea the prices are very hugh I think most I every paid on a toy was $40 and that was a real do they really want this thing hahaha
Thank you! I always wondered if the large blocks would worth the big price, and now, that my son has 4 years old and still plays with wooden blocks, I think I will purchase them.
Our local Aldi sold off brand Wobbles and pikler triangles for $65. Got the full set ❤️🔥
That sounds awesome!!

Thank you so much!
Got a Nugget for my daughter for her 3rd bday at the end of the month. So excited to give it to her!

Thank you. Your advice and insight are very helpful as I decide what to make/buy for our grandson.
Best wishes from the UK
I really enjoy your channel. You have such honest and relevant information. Thank you so much for taking the time to create such great content.

Yay thanks so much. Was deciding whether to get my 15 no old a grimms for Xmas or wait. Glad to see I can wait!
My son is 3 now and likes it now more than ever!

Yes, my son never really cares about the way a toy looks! He is just as happy with his scratched up second hand toys vs the brand new ones.
Hello. Do you have the link for the scarves? I did not see it in the comments. All the best 😊
Good to check the ethics and sourcing policies of different brands- to check cheaper brands are still sourcing wood sustainably/paying people fair wages etc. Quality over quantity ✨
There’s a video on UA-cam about using the wobble board with the nugget to make a huge rocking horse situation
I'll have to check it out, that sounds fun!

Haha you might need it! We love it!

I'll try that, thanks!

It is so hard to wait! I think 3 is a perfect age for these things though!
My daughter is one year old and I am also planning buy one set every year . However, I want yo buy everything one shot and play by myself 😂
What is your pikler triangle brand?
Thanks you for this Video. I was eying the Lovevery blockset, now I feel that maybe we need to find a way to store the large block pyramide 🙈 Does ist come in the pastell colors as well?
I think that's a good choice! I don't think it comes in pastel but they just released a natural wood version
Green Elephant has a pastel block pyramid
The marble tree/glue situation is hilarious imo 😂 I didn’t even notice the glue until you pointed it out…what brand is it?
I really don't know. It doesn't say. I thrifted it from grandparents who had it for a long time haha
How should I buy this wooden toys?
This video was so helpful. Thank you
what do you think about the ocamora rainbow i'm between the grimms one and the ocamora one
I don't have any experience with that brand, but I've heard good things!
Thank you!
Where is the best place to resell these toys? What do you personally do? Thanks!
Super helpful!!!! Thanks so much.
Thanks for sharing!!
