Ive always liked rooney (and Joaquin too) but I feel like a lot of people (t least in the media and hollywood) give her a tough time because she can be shy and is somewhat different than your traditional leading lady in Hollywood. Im amazed at her ability to do all the interviews and red carpet stuff when she obviously doesnt like that aspect so much...but she does it and tries hard to satisfy everyone and be nice. I fairly sure she has pretty bad anxiety when it comes to that kind of thing so it must be quite hard for her, hundreds of people taking pictures and screaming at her and such. Shes lovely and I like how shes different. Shes one of a kind, I think shes rad.
I absolutely agree with you! Not everyone has that showy media personality and that's totally okay! I can relate to Rooney to some degree :) And I actually prefer actresses and actors who are more concerned about their craft than about interviews, photoshoots and etc. :)
The interesting thing is, Joaquin has severe social anxiety too. They’re pretty similar in that way. I’d say Joaquin got a lot better at standing infront of a crowd or paparazzi when you compare it to some older red carpet footage. Also on talkshows he got quite confident but you can still always see they both don’t like being the centre of attention. They really got a lot of courage for pushing themselves to go on those big stages and big events everytime. I really relate to that cuz I’ve got social anxiety too, so it’s nice seeing someone be so real on those stages

Yes! It's so obvious ❤ Rooney was also in an other realtionship at that time (as well as Joaquin I believe), so these circumstances could have also made the situation quite difficult, I think.

From what I see, Joaquin is quite verbal with her affection towards Rooney and it’s true that he loves her so much and so does Rooney to him. While Joaquin shows it through his words, Rooney shows it through her eyes and the fact that they’re together means that she trusts him and loves him dearly and now they have a baby. I remember watching them interact during the Her press tour and hoped that neither one had a significant other, because he/she should be very worried. Between Joaquin’s shameless flirting and Rooney’s poor attempt to hide that she was loving his attention (poor girl never stood a chance against all that charm), it was obvious that these two people had formed a serious connection. Even Spike knew he had to literally get out of the way. It took them a while, but glad they finally acknowledged what everyone could see by just looking at their faces.

Joana, isn’t it amazing how these two bring out the best in each other? Rooney’s become much bolder in her vegan and animal rights activism since she’s been with Joaquin, and Joaquin’s more open about discussing and dealing with his brother’s death. And who would have thought that either of them would be open to having children? Joaquin once likened children to rotten bananas (I wish I was kidding). I guess the best definition of love is that it transforms you into the best version of yourself, sometimes a version unrecognizable (in the best possible way) to your former self. I gotta admit that it sounded a bit weird, but in other interviews of Rooney she said that during that meeting they read the script together. She played her role of Catherine and Spike Jonze played Theodore. Rooney also told that Spike is a really good actor himself. So, I think that this was just a bad choice of words.
