    Very cool video I didn't know that about the plateau hone, but it makes alot of sense. I've listened to so many engines being turned over after assembly, I always hear that scraping sound even e

    How long do you expect those stock iron sleeves to last at 900 hp? I read that GM says the stock LS7 block is a 550hp and that you run a risk of cracking a sleeve above that. I’m not sure about the LS3 hp limit but your bore size is less than less than the LS7 so it should be more than the LS7.

    Great video! Question… have you ever heard of ls7 lifters being soaked in oil too long and then priming hard when starting engine and bending all push rods? Is there a way to deprime the lifters wheat glut pulling them in a vice

    • @vikenlink
      @vikenlink 2 роки тому +2

      That should be impossible…. Maybe the rods were too long or the timing marks were way off. If the lifter was pumped to max….. valves still wouldn’t hit the pistons also soon as pressure is applied to the lifter plunger, the plunger bleeds oil out immediately as the oil pump continues to supply oil pressure and continues to keep the lifter from bottoming out to prevent tappet tick due to excessive clearance.

    Like honing or boring?

    • @JacobVillemain
