@@Bigramt we all hope this is over soon. I managed to bribe the local gym, now I have a barbell and tons of weights at home.. but I have a 3 year old daughter, getting work done with her at home is very challenging. I can only imagine your situation is even much harder given your situation..
One ting I look at with Thor is he always respects the weight on the bar whether 100 pounds or 1000 pounds he picks it all up the same way true strongman.👌

Here's a simple explanation of the 501kg deadlift for the dummies out there.
Usain Bolt 100m WR is 9.58.
If somebody comes along and gets 9.57 they will be a living legend and called superhuman athlete.

If Thor gets 501kg he should be given the respect of lifting the biggest Deadlift of all time and considered one of the strongest men to ever walk the planet. FACTS!!!

People don't understand that at the very top level of competition - a hundreth of a second or an 1/10 of a lb puts you at the top.
Isn't the same because even calibrated plates have a variation in weight. Even earths gravity isn't the same everywhere and can make up for a difference of 0.5kg.
It perfectly makes sense to have a minimum increase obligatory. 2.5kg or something

Value of g in England is around 9,81, while in Iceland it is around 9,82. Your argument holds, but for Thor, this means his 501 will be relatively heavier than Eddies 500. (More than 1 kg).

And he said himself in a video that if someone can beat his 500kg deadlift, he will be the first to congratulate them, because he knows how hard it is to do. Sure, everyone does feel a bit of a sting when someone beats their record. But he will be happy for Thor when he does lift 501kg. I can see Thor lift even more than 501kg because he is so strong, and he knows how train to get stronger and stronger. Thor will even be just fine after the deadlift, while Eddie was down for the count because of how he stressed his body with the lift.

Eddie just did a Q&A recently, kinda sums up his feelings towards the WR attempt and Thor in general.
It looks as though his form is suffering with the suit on. Hopefully one of the vets of suit use can help him out, looks too high up on his legs too as though it's not really helping at all but only limiting his mobility?? 501 soon!!!
Dan Lightowler I thought most deadlift suits sit really high on there legs? That’s what Iv noticed. As the suit holds your hips tighter
Pretty sure they never reach full extension whilst practicing with big weight for reps. Could be wrong but it always look like they are doing damage prevention during training.

Its pretty straightforward, you do 501kg to break record. He can attempt a higher one right away depending on how strong he feels, but likely he can try to break it again 1-2 weeks later

Winning is winning whether by a cm or a kilometer. I'm glad he's going 501, any more is just unnecessary and also will make for less attempts in future to break records so nice to see it slowly get broken by 1 every time. There's no need for such a big jump by 10 when eddie already made such a massive increase to the half tonne milestone it's hard to imagine it ever getting much heavier.

@S Phung Thor already lifted more at the elephant bar than eddie ever could without needing any mental state. Eddie said that during training he couldnt lift more than 450. Thor already lifts that, without needing any adrenaline state like eddie needed. He is going to lift that with pure strenght, no adrenaline bullshit like eddie did.

On the farmers walk your left side lifts before the right side, you notice it especially on the first one. On the second walk the front left stays up while the right front wobbles a bit. Given what happened at Arnold's, if the weight of the equipment is tilted to the right by a few kgs you'll end up having to work extra hard to compensate. Hope you manage to fix that before the next competition, whenever it might be
