To all the engine cc snobs out there,125s have their place in the motorcycling world as runabouts, scooters, ag bikes etc. Here in Oz I've always had Yamaha 100 and 125cc ag bikes. I've put on big mileage on them too and loved em. Enough power for livestock work and durability in the heat. Don't knock them til you try em.
Bravo! 6 month loaner? Sign me up! A smaller lighter bike is more apt to be used for simple close to home rides than a big one. Even better, the recognition you are receiving by a manufacturer. Just the beginning beautiful. Hope it's a sign of bigger and better things to come
I have some of my fondest bike memories on smaller capacity bikes, a greater sense of adventure than on big powerful bikes, where you're more concerned about zipping through bends, where hills are no object and trying to moderate your enthusiasm is the main issue !
I have had my “Chinese” bike for over 2 years now and ride it all year round. I ride a Lexmoto ZSX-R 125. Only thing I have had to replace is the tyres and the throttle sensor. The bike has been great. You just need to keep it clean and look after it. Ride safe and keep up the great reviews Kate.
Well what a great plan. You don't need cc. You don't need bhp. You don't need to spend shed loads of money to enjoy motorcycling. So life on a 125 is not going to be in the fast lane that doesn't mean it can't be fun. Maintaining and looking after your bike "investment" is what sets you on the road as a biker. My bike not my first probably my last is Indian. So it still shines, still rides, still makes me smile, I love it after almost 4 years. Can't wait to see how you get on. Well done !!!
Good one Kate. Do what you want and review the 500cc and under bikes that tend to be forgotten and not reviewed too well. Even Japanese bikes of any size tend to be treated as "throw away bikes". Especially if service is ignored and of course over time then expensive parts are needed. Have fun on that little bike and remember your other bike will not be jealous. Hope your doing better every day and the symptoms are going away.
Being still on the old L plates at the ripe old age of 41 😮 and feeling after doing a bit of big bike training I much prefer the smaller engine bikes mainly in the A2 range. Im a right weakling and just dont feel comfortable, so Kate me old fruit you crack out as many videos on small bikes as you like ill watch em with pleasure.
Refreshing Kate to see a long term test that is more available to the masses, rather than 20,000 pound exotica. I think your on a winner, because I think with ever increasing transport prices and strikes, this will be on peoples radar, and also people that want a winter bike hack rather than perhaps use their expensive bike.Great channel 🇸🇪❤️🙏🏍👍
Strong statement to start with: you do you Kate, love the channel no Mather if you are riding a 1250cc or a 125. Love to hear and see the walk arounds, usernamedad, traveltrips with your sister, even love to hear you sing once in a while. Hope to enjoy the channel for a very long time. Btw this was a fantastic vlog. Big thumbs up, ride save 👍👍🇳🇱
Good to see you on The Motorbike Show the other night, hope you get some new subscribers. Good luck with the Sinnis, had a Kymcro KR Sport for about 6 years which I rode all year round before I got my full bike license and got my ER6f.
I had (briefly) a Lexmoto Venom from 2015. It was everything a cheap Chinese bike was reported to be. It actually came with a knock off version of the Honda CG125, from the 80’s. It was truly awful. However, I will say that in the last 4-5 years, cheap Chinese bikes have come on in spades. I still remain that a Japanese brand is a better buy if you plan to own it longer term but if you want something cheap with a warranty for a year or 2 until you get your license and a big bike, these are spot on.
👍 great idea, think this needs to happen more as consumers we need to know how these bike perform. Look forward to see what happens over the winter. So good to see you back riding Kate hope that most of the problems associated with Labyrinthitis are resolved. Keep safe 🤗
yep, my 1200rs is tiring to ride below 50mph tbh, you spend all of your time in 1st/2nd, and if you think about opening the throttle you're already speeding. If I were commuting daily rather than working from home, i'd have a little runaround bike i think
My mate bought a Sinnis Hoodlum after doing his CBT. We changed the OE spec tyres as they where dam right dangerous, especially in the rain. We also changed the battery as the cheapo one lasted about 9 months before it gave up. Then there is the servicing, apparently it needs serviced every 6 months which is crazy. Another weird thing is you can't start the bike whilst it's on its side stand, WTF. However apart from these minor niggles the bike is actually pretty good. The range of models is impressive and there will be a bike in their model range to suit all types of biker. Looking forward to hearing you're experience's Kate. Enjoy
Just watched you on the motorbike show and now this pops up on my notifications happy days. Riding through winter is brilliant as my 32000 mile F900XR is testament to it keeps your skills up too
This is good news Kate, it will be interesting to see how it holds up through the UK winter. Also as my son will be moving up to a 125 in a few months 👍
An amazing looking bike . I am thinking back to my first bike , a Yamaha YB100 in 1975 . The bike was brilliant but this looks so much better , from a distance it looks like a much higher capacity machine .
I don't know, I kinda feel that no manufacturer is loyal to a country anymore. It's kind of a old idea. It's all about money now and how much money we can save on labor of manufacturing/outsourcing.
Look forward to the series .. im late to biking ( very late lol! and decided to buy a 125 next year so your review will be very timely for me ...Good luck.
Wicked - not rode anything that small for over 30 years. Be interesting to see how you get on with it and how it fairs over the next 6 months. Probably my next bike will be a 125 so my wife could learn to ride ;)
I saw this bike for the first time a few months ago, I think it looks so cool love the triple exhausts think this bike shows how important styling is for a 125 and should never be an after thought. Really interested to see how you get on with it and enjoying the fun factor of a 125
Hi Kate right I have benelli 502c had two years but only ride it the summer but that's old age so had two services bought two new mirrors and two rubber grommets for the exhaust and a packet of 40 amp fuses but I only clean it with gt85 and Mr sheene polish some of the bolts are dull but OK had to add a little paint to the sump at the front of the engine but that was OK by me it's been good so far done 5450 miles on the benelli so far have fun on your 125 Kate
Looks like a nice little 125 kate. I have never had a chinese bike but i did have a hyosung gf 125 to learn on, 20 years ago. I clocked up 37,000 miles on it and it only let me down once, the regulator went, in the middle of nowhere lol. The only issue with the chinese bikes from the guys i know who had one is that they rust quickly. Great runabout bikes though
That's me subbed. Genuinely shocked at the new long termer! 😃 Chinese bikes aren't what they used to be. Good quality materials and good quality production these days. The first Sinnis Apaches were all made from chinesium and rusted everywhere very quickly. They've massively upped their game in the last few years. It looks like it fits you very well. And a petrol station short cut too! 🤣
I had a benelli imperiale 400 for a year and 5k. No issues or corrosion at all. Rear shocks were crap but easily fixed if you want too. I really liked it. Traded for enfield 350 classic which is probably better bike but I really liked the benelli. Prob should have kept it. Early days with the enfield but I think benelli suited me better.
That wee bike probably sell more unit's than any if not all the litre sports bikes ,,if it gets more people into bikes great 👍👍☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland 😁,, check out the wear and the quality of it 👍👍

Hi Kate, long time no see, loving your videos pal keep up the fantastic content.. I still have my little Sinnis Terrain 125 it’s up for sale, I am going to be sad to see it go. You’re 💯 right pal perfect first bike for a first time rider, mine as been a fantastic bike, I toured around Scotland on it from Manchester the only issue was my chain, but with a quick adjustment I was on my way. I would consider seriously keeping it for knocking about on instead getting the big girl out, but can not afford to run both bikes, unless I find myself a sugar mama who would be happy to pay for my hobby 😂 Ride Safe Pal🤝
Good for you Kate.... Doing videos, the way you want, not what 'sells'. Long term loaner? A 125? Awesome idea, not enough reviews of smaller bikes imo. As far as complaints about build quality? Tough point to raise as we are all effected here especially with globalisation. When we spend money to fuel the economy of China are we supporting the next world dominator? Money is power. If it goes to Countries with poor leaders, is it wise to fuel this? I genuinely don't know and ask. Big question. It just crosses my mind when I'm in a bike showroom. Benelli & Sym are both great Chinese brands. Sym is from Taiwan technically but the days of Chinese bikes being awful just is NOT the case anymore. Great Wall Motors make some excellent cars and MG are waaaaay better than they used to be. I'd buy a Chinese bike or car without hesitation if it suited my needs. Brill upload love your travels up around north west...have fun 😁👍
@@UsernameKate 2 months ago I rode my MONKEY 125 with a little rucksack on my back from South Wales to Torquay and back staying overnight totalling about 280 miles. I must say it's the most enjoyable 2 days riding I've had in 30 years! Averaged 150 mpg and still managed 60 mph on the dual carriageways. Every stop someone came over to talk about the bike and I was able to treat it like a pushbike and park it next to me in the beer gardens! It's so much easier to get out than humping my GS out of the shed too! Just accept it for what it is and enjoy the ride and scenery and you'll realise what you've been missing belting about on a big bike.
Question (maybe for a later video) how does the bike cope being air cooled for bigger adventures and or with a pillion and or luggage. Is there any sign of over heating?
Yo Kate love the channel btw, it's 👍 of cause 125s for life! Alas swing the leg over a ducati scrambler 1100, please love to get you and your besties opinion on the quacker. Keep rockin ✌️😁

I love my Yamaha 125 (1974) Enduro but have to admit my 175 was more fun. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with salted roads, this looks like it could be a fun series hopefully it’s going to be fun for you, what’s the cost of the one twenty five (American pronunciation)?
As long as you’re not lying like one of the female UA-camrs calling these types of bikes “as her new bike”, I’m good with anything. Manufacturers and UA-camrs must disclose the relationship and the conditions of the arrangement. #BMW
Hi Kate, was just wondering if you could also keep a check on before and after mileage? That would be cool too! 😊
Yes sorry! I was going to put it in the comments and pin it so you've just reminded me!! 880 miles!

Not a cc snob, 125s terrify me though. Too light.

Good to see you're over the illness and good to see you 3 on with Henry last night. Why not give it a going over with acf50 for the winter.

You did the sinnis gpx 125 a while back how did it Preform on the road
Why did you ride through the petrol station Kate?
I know the light sequence and it wasn't in my favor 🤣
Very cool bike. 👍🇨🇦🤪
Had a Yamaha YBR 125. Assumed it was Japanese. It was Chinese built.
A question arises: When do you go on a trip outside Europe like Nurali?
Long overdue!

As long as you’re not lying like one of the female UA-camrs calling these types of bikes “as her new bike”, I’m good with anything. Manufacturers and UA-camrs must disclose the relationship and the conditions of the arrangement. #BMW
Oooh you've got me intrigued. Someone is saying that manufacturers are their own? I'm not sure what someone has to gain from that!
