Had the same issue with my keyless petrol cap.
Couple of squirts of WD40, new fob battery, cured the problem.
Now I WD40 the latch, every few weeks.

Kate I had same problem but found if you only get so much time when bike stops and one click not all the way ride safe
Loved the foggy scenery footage Kate. We see conditions like that here in South East Queensland quite often in May and August/September. The food looked great. I always found that when you're feeling coldish a good solid meal sets you up for the rest of the ride. Well done.
looks a cracking place if your a foodie (which I totally am) shame about the weather but it`s what we`ll have to get use to again for a few months , great vlog Kate 😁
Great video Kate what a mare you had with the fuel cap I had the same problem with the f900xr a few months back and just replaced the battery in the fob and all is good again 👍

You just made me remember something while watching this 10 months after its upload (wonder if you still read comments, yonks after their release, give a 👍jf you do)... When my bro Mike was in college, there were 2 Mikes, he was the only one in his groupe of mates with a bike, so he was Mike the Bike. As time went on, it became Bikey and that stuck to present day. He has now just retired and still has his college nickname.

Nice vid used to be my way to work before working from home became a thing. On the gs I have the same trouble sometimes even full battery it’s when the vacuum in the tank builds on low fuel, solution I have found is whack the filler cap with your hand it breaks the seal abit so the latch then works 👍🏼
Holme moss summit can be a dangerous and gorgeous world but can change in a blink of an eye. Coming off A6024 onto A628 is always a bad junction. But great roads especially when dry. Cafe looked great but expensive. Take care stay safe 🏍 👍

Haha, none of that is on my menu at the moment! I have a few more lbs to lose first! Anyhoo, it all looked delicious and thanks for the ride- along. Great scenery along the way with the lush green flora, and seeing that fog sure added a mysterious element to it!

Its a bit of a ball ache though when it should just work 🤣 going to change the battery in the fob
@@UsernameKate that's another cause, always carrying spare duracells in case the battery packs up. Lol 😆 my prep work for trips is ridiculous 🙃 but that's my OCD, my mates and brother think I'm mad when I go on trips

A great selection of food there. As for your fuel cap, there is an emergency way to get in via the 2 allen screws by the catch. Also it might just need a clean out with some WD40
One sec Nigel, just let me whip out my Allen key 🤣🤣 think i just need to change the fob in the battery. It'll be reet 😊

Watching Alan Partridge. I so want to move to UK. My ideal town/city is one that is always cold like no heat wave and stuff. I would still have an air conditioner and stuff though
my keyless fuel cap release on my old Multistrada stuck once, wasn't a battery issue, solved it (temporarily at the fuel station) by removing the whole cap mechanism with an Allen key so I could fill up, until I fixed it at home .. got me out of a sticky situation ⛽
Nice trip, Kate. By the way: I love that helmet. It is so difficult ton find a good looking, well fitting, all red helmet. Most helmets have that “the circus comes to town” garishness. This one is simply classy in my favorite color. Probable expensive, huh?
Hey Marc! This is a Ruroc Atlas 4.0 in Crimson. I got this free to trial and I wear it occasionally if I'm on a bike that it suits if that makes sense! I can't wear it for a long time though as my neck struggles with its weight 😩 it retails at £375
@@UsernameKate Found it already. Not entirely in my pricebracket. Suddenly the market is awash with red helmets! I presently wear a black Caberg Droid system helmet on which I painted a few surfaces red. Nice helmet but a bit narrow aroudn the jaw when I fully close it. Makes me feel like trying to kiss a goat between the horns. Not a real problem though since it does not start to irritate during longer wearing. Only when I chew gum. Then my beard starts to itch like crazy. My giant head is the real cause though. Not the helmet. 🙂

Looks like you're in the trendy Northern Quarter, just off Great Ancoats Street / Tib Street. Yes, not cheap around there. It would be the perfect place for a hipster biker place aka The Bike Shed in London.

A rental did that a couple times, too. Luckily it cleared up turning the bike off and on like yours.

Sounds like a nice little place, on a side note though, what do you think of the Ruroc 4.0? I've seen loads of reviews and the Ruroc shop is about 2.5 miles from my house in Gloucester, they look good but are a bit pricey

Keyless tank caps, a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. It would just make me nervous every time I filled up.

Some of my fondest memories are the coffee run rides we did on cold foggy days, the memories are much warmer. Kate what are you paying for gas I felt like I hit the jackpot the other day at $5 a gallon at a Costco near San Francisco.
It depends but at the moment, it's around 1.65 per litre for petrol and 1.85 p/l for diesel ⛽️

I’ve watched your UA-cam videos for a while. If you get a chance, I would love to hear your thoughts on the CFMoto 800 MT Touring. I turned 70 this year and I want to downsize from my 20 year old Harley Electraglide to a lighter bike that I could still carry my wife and our gear on. I’m thinking it’s time to pass the 850 pound Electraglide on to my son. The CF Moto 800 MT Touring, with the KTM 790 engine looks like it could do the job.😎👍

No, it's just the nav holder that comes as standard on a 2016 TE model GS.
@@UsernameKate I have the 2019 R1250GS TE -I have never looked at the Nav holder but might have to do some investigating -cheers :)
A 2019 TE should have it as standard specification. Previous owner must have taken it off as some people didn't like them on.
