- In this top speed run we are testing the 2001 Honda TRX250EX Sportrax ATV. This quad is 100% stock and was 100% sketchy on the black top.

I have an 04 250 ex but I put an full hmf exhaust, upgraded the jet and air filter an got mine up to 58 mph. It was a little expensive but well worth it. I got better results with the 105 main jet instead of the stock 95 jet.
I have a 2004 Honda 250ex big bore race tires and a bigger jet. Been a fun quad over all had it about 5+ years been through a couple of rebuilds but thst is from me beating it through mud holes on the limiter. Know I'm looking for a Honda 450 or possibly a 86 250r both would be for racing purposes.
The 250r is hard to find but they are sweet!

Im going to look at an 03 trx 250ex tomorrow. Supposedly it only needs a battery and owner cleaned the carb and gas tank. Man i hope it works after i jump start bc it would be a good deal

@@burnout_MEDIA i ended up buying it! 800 runs great. Just needed a battery, one front tire and a seat. I already did the tune up and the battery and tire, just need a seat

I have 2006 420.
With 22 inch tyres and in 2wd on tarmac it hits 56mph in 5th.
These aren't geared for the roads... Its more for being able to tow uphill.
I pulled away in 2nd most of the time with no load.
If you want something fast buy something different.
These are the best all-rounder and the most reliable.
I pull stuff around the farm all day then rip down the B roads and byways on the way home.

Oh yeah I pull with my little 250 recon a good bit and I love to hit the back roads

I have the same thing esept it the utility version the honda recon it goes 50/53 mph
I have Yamaha 450 wolverine and it rips but a rear tire needs replacement

My friend has the Honda Trx250ex and its fast idk the top but we ride it alot its got the automatic clutch
They are great atvs for sure

Yeah they do. They were just removed on mine
They do i have an 01 it has the pedle but the brakes are practicly non exitant

While Hondas are good I would Definetly recommend getting a Suzuki LTZ250 or Raptor 250. Both are much better 250's for learning and going decently fast on. Not saying the Honda is bad quad because if you want one get one but based on my experience the Suzuki, and Yamaha are faster and better for learning on.
I would love to pick both of those up

I'm just going to say that there recon's and thoughts probably way more reliable u can run 1 of those things out of oil and have the motor sez up and what 1 hour after it cools off and put oil in it and crank right back up no problems

Eh, not too bad, about 10-15mph less than the 2005 TRX400EX I used to have, but still everything you need for a bit of trail riding.

@@burnout_MEDIA actually its smokes a lot too and has a clicking sound, but i think that is due to poor maintenance from prev owner.

@@Hemi.Mani57 oh yeah my recon same thing as a ex but with different plastics and racks u can actually put honda recon plastics and racks on a 250 ex but I've flipped mine 50+ times sunk it under the intake jumped 7ft in the air just full on abused it for 20 years still runs good
