Every state has their own unique cuisine and every Mexican will swear that their state is the best, but one thing all Mexicans will agree on is that Oaxaca has some of the most delicious food in the world.
Love Oaxaca state. I’m not Oaxaqueño but I consider myself native of Oaxaca. I knew that you were going to fall in love with Oaxaca. That’s an incredible place. Thanks guys for taking me with you to Oaxaca or better say Wowxaca. Lol you guys rock. Saludos amigos.
Congrats on getting the connection with the tourism board. Your hard work leading to superior filming and your personalities are moving you right along. You are projecting your openess and real love for Mexico. And that shows. Can't fake it. But, not loving tamales? That's absolutely unmexican. Then again, I had a Mexican partner who didn't like nopales. Now that's real sacrilege.
Ed Tolliver there are tamales that are too dry, specially the ones from the north of Mexico, but tamales Oaxaqueños aren't dry and are definitely the best ones.
Avenger07 -- Of course there are dry tamales when they're made poorly -- norteños or oaxaqeños. The tamales served in the US aren't worth the eating. They're miniscule in size and scant in filling. But, I agree that oaxaqueños are the best. I'm lucky, my wife makes both kinds. But, it is hard to find the banana leaves to wrap the oaxaxeños in.
Oaxaca it is so charming you feel the richness of the culture in this city, the food, the real indígenas in downtown with the artesanias I absolutely understand why Europeans love this place. Go to have coffee in Los Portales and admire the people walking
Adriana Newby Hi Adriana, I just wanna thank you for what are you saying of Oax. I was born in there and now I work In the USA but I think a few Europeans have a feeling of pleasure about it. Since my last trip at home I have noticed Europeans tend to focus on handmade clothing and ceramical objects as well nothing else. Mostly of these Europeans are Germans and French. USA citizens have better thoughts on Oax's history regardless racism in Trumlandia.
El orgullo de ser mexicano. Greg you mentioned how you felt being genuinely greeted. It is so true the Mexican custom of greeting is like no other. I can honestly say without a doubt I've never experienced that here in my country the good ol' U S of A. Oaxaca looks so beautiful so colorful, and the food looks amazing. Thank you guys for taking me along on this awesome trip. Take care and God bless. ❤
I ate my first time when I was 6 years old I thought it was crazy but OMG they are delicious and are healthy a strong source of protein. My parents forced me to try them but I am glad I did
since i discovered your channel i’m fascinated in the fact that Americans like you and la güera can really appreciate the beauty of our country and culture without pre-judging. Hey Guys how's goin' ? I really love the way you gringos love my country, just for that i love you guys back ! Thanks again for sharing your adventures And your love for this great country, my homeland... Keep up the excellent Work ! Enjoy Oaxaca !
I know Mexicans are short to average height but Oaxaca people are super tiny ,i see many in Oxnard California ,they work out in the fields and there is no one that can beat them on hard work no matter how big you are its crazy.not even your average none Oaxaca Mexicans can handle it like these tiny people its awesome to me.good videos kids
pupupipichorro relief That is absolutely true! I've heard that from many different people that it is difficult to beat a Oaxaqueño when it comes to hard work. I'm Oaxaqueña and I am 1.47 height 😅😅😂😂 Warm greetings! 😉
you right, but there are tall people too, I'm from Oaxaca and I'm 5,3. but all of my cousins(boys) are over 5,7 to 6,2... I think I didn't drink enough milk hahaha.

Ser de Oaxaca es un regalo De Dios. Todos los estados de Mexico son hermosos, pero mi Oaxaca hermoso es único en todo. Tengo algunos vídeos de Oaxaca en mi canal por si gustan verlos.
Greg has a knack for camera work and sight lines... Pretty good bro. Good editing and music overlay. I for one appreciate the time you take to compose each video. And Hill? Well you cant have a great channel without a great photogenic, personable carefree view of Mexico with now bias ... Exceptional
You can take tours to see how people do handcrafts, barro negro, rebozos, alebrijes, mezcal. You can visit Monte Alban and Mitla.. Oaxaca has too many beautiful things to offer. 😍💙
I love that you fall in love with Mexican cities. If you want a similar festive atmosphere you should go to Veracruz, I recommend the port of Veracruz the capital, Tlacotalpan at the beginning of February where the virgin of the candelaria sails on a boat by the river, or Coatepec that smells of coffee.
That is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in all of Mexico! Go to the main market in downtown Oaxaca and try the nieve de garrafa, they have so many varieties it is mind boggling.
Hi guys, my two cents: I'm from Oaxaca and it's a MUST to eat in el mercado, but you should do it this way - Inside the market you will find a butchery and select your tasajo, cecina or/and chorizo, in the same place you will find some grills, just ask the women in charge to do that and then go and buy some tortillas/ guacamole, etc.. and of course drink some hot chocolate!! Even Anthony Bourdain did it!! I hope you're still in Oaxaca enjoying its perfect weather!. Take care!
I have never tasted grasshoppers in my life and I'm surprised you along have enjoyed most delicious food in Mexico. Thumb up and thanks for sharing guys.. :)
Amazing church in Oxaxa city!! Theres a place around there called "Hierve el agua" up in these Mountains where theres pools of water and a petrified waterfall. I saw it in a video once it looked amazing, Mexico definitely has so many beautiful places. Saludos amigos
What a nice video! What a nice place! What a nice restaurant! (that was the mole "coloradito"! I love it!) ... and those are JUST the first impressions... Congrats!
Mi lindo Oaxaca! May I recommend you visit the town of Tlacolula De Matamaros, Oaxaca. It’s located approximately 45 minutes from Oaxaca City. While in Tlacolula, you MUST visit the famous Tlacolula market that is held every Sunday! There you will find amazing food, such as: fresh barbacoa, fresh traditional bread, hot chocolate, tejate (also considered the drink of gods), pulque, tepache, an abundance of fresh meats (tasajo, cecina, chorizo), tlayudas (large tortillas), exotic fruit, and so much more!! Greetings from California!! - Ricky

Try the "amarillito", a unique mole (there are seven kinds in Oaxaca). Don't miss the Museo Regional nor the Tamayo's museum. They are absolutely worth it! The Museo Regional (next to Santo Domingo Church) has the treasures of Monte Albán, among many other things. Gold, Crystal objects... art from the Mixtecos and Zapotecos.
