I had a similar itinerary starting in Puerto Escondido, except i fell in love with it and stayed 3 weeks there! Can't wait to return there for 180 days. It's a slice of paradise!
It really depends what you’re looking for… Yucatan has the real paradise-looking beaches with white sand and blue waters. But it comes at a price as there are lots of tourists. Puerto Escondido is a lot quieter, more backpacking vibes and great surfing. But the beaches are less “paradise”
You do a great job presenting your video content. Next time you are in southern Mexico, check out Huatulco. Wow Wow Wow Me!!! Now that is paradise for sure!!! Es una zona tan hermosa!!!
My 1st time to both of ur channel and the video was very easy to follow with stamped time lines and spellings of the cities made it extra friendly to keep abreast, even though I am not Mexican I live amongst many and your pronunciation of the Spanish words were very good, since I am looking to travel to some of these places in the near future I wished that ball park figures for hotel stay and food would have been mentioned just as a side bar, but overall the videos was short and sweet, thx u both
It’s still pretty nice compared to the north. We were there in March and it was lovely.. mostly sunny and about 30 degrees Celsius! Nights can get a bit chilly but as long as you bring a sweater and some trousers you’ll be fine
Loved this video! I'm wondering.. How are the roads from the beach to Oaxaca city? Is it do-able to drive it with a rental car? Especially in the mountains..
It's extremely windy! Many people get sick in the vans lol. But when it comes to potholes it's actually not that bad. It's very slow but doable. We took the bus though and would still prefer the vans over driving ourselves!
We personally prefer Oaxaca city, but that’s really a personal taste. It’s definitely possible to combine both but it will require one long day of travel. We’d say if you want to do both then stay 4 days in Oaxaca City and then take a bus to Puerto Escondido and spend 3 days there! 😊
In different hotels that we found through Booking :) You can find the places in are other Oaxaca videos! They are in the description below those videos (Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca City)
Didn't like this place. Felt like I was in a prison. Bars on all windows, people very unfriendly despite my efforts to be friendly with them. I didn't like the food--something this place is known for. However, the chocolate and the coffee was great. Wasn't interested in trying seasoned grasshoppers. Way over hyped place. I'm speaking only of the city area where the Centro market is not any places on the outskirts of Oaxaca.
So sorry to hear about your bad experience.. maybe Mexico isn’t the place for you! Actually the majority of Latin American countries use bars in front of their windows as a security measure. It’s like the majority of houses have an alarm system in Belgium, just a different way of protecting the house!

You guys have luxury with time, we have 14 days on all Mexico and are tearing ourselves apart between Puerto Escondido and Yucatán

You forgot Huatulco, its very beautiful, saludos 🇲🇽
Heard many good things about it! Could definitely fit in between San Jose and Zipolite!
@@worldwildhearts Huatulco Beaches are Beautier than The first Beaches u've gone...
Ooh la la
Great 💯
We are living in Progreso n are considering moving to this location
Good luck, we love Oaxaca City! We never made it to Progreso but heard good things about it! 🤩
Hey, i love My country
We also love Mexico!
Great itinerary ideas. Seems like a pretty good area to go to for an inclusive adventure type of trip. Thanks!
Yes it’s a diverse itinerary and good for adventure!
Looks perfect. I wonder often how a dog companion fits with public transportation and sites.
Not sure... we’ve never seen any dogs / animals really on public transportation in Oaxaca
In a box and strap em on top or in the luggage trunks 😂 probably not what you’re looking for 🤙🏽
Excellent video! Thank you ❤ Considering going over winter months Nov to March time. Any idea of what it's ike this time of year? 😊
It’s still pretty nice compared to the north. We were there in March and it was lovely.. mostly sunny and about 30 degrees Celsius! Nights can get a bit chilly but as long as you bring a sweater and some trousers you’ll be fine
@@worldwildhearts thanks! Great advice
Where would you book the flights?? Trying to go for week
Use Skyscanner as it will give you all the flight / airline options! 😊
Please tell me you brought that puppy home!! 😍🥰
We wish!

Hello guys im planning a trip trough mexico and wanted to ask if anyone here can tell me if its safe to go trough oaxaca chapas and campeche? Thx
We didn’t have any issues! Just be street smart and don’t get involved with anything shady.
If you only had one week, would you recommend focusing on Oaxaca City or the coast? Is 7 days too short to try to do both?
We personally prefer Oaxaca city, but that’s really a personal taste. It’s definitely possible to combine both but it will require one long day of travel. We’d say if you want to do both then stay 4 days in Oaxaca City and then take a bus to Puerto Escondido and spend 3 days there! 😊
You can fly from oaxaca to the coast
What time of year was this filmed?
April 2022!
@@worldwildhearts Would you recommen traveling in March / April? Planning a trip for around then!
Also great video, thanks for sharing!
Absolutely! March and April are warm and sunny, but not too crazy hot! We found it the perfect time to travel around Oaxaca!
The hot time, it’s always hot lol, btw the autopista is now open so just 3hrs to Oaxaca from puerto/huatulco.
What is the closest airport
Oaxaca City Airport or Puerto Escondido!
Also Huatulco, more/different flights
👍🏼👏🏼❤️
Where did you sleep?
In different hotels that we found through Booking :) You can find the places in are other Oaxaca videos! They are in the description below those videos (Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca City)
Can you visit Jalisco
We hope to one day!
You forgot to visit huatulco!!!
Absolutely right... for next time!
Fay Gardens
20 days ! yikes thats alot
I went to Zipolite
A drugadict stabbed me from behind.
His name is in Manding.
Do not go at night.
Can you explain this situation a bit more in detail? You probably wrote this 20+ times to videos/forums and now I'm curious what happened exactly.
That is horrible news 😯 so sad to hear. I hope you’re ok!
