  • Hunter is an excellent mid-range build that is excellent for 1v1 in Armored Core VI. This isn't a very typical play style with all the focus on close range and impact in the meta, but it is very fun to play! アーマードコア6

      actually I do think truenos are kinda balanced... although people claiming otherwise.
      They have long lockon time, high tracking (but you can stillk dodge them at 160m+) and they only punish very light, low attitude stability ACs.
      In return they get high direct hit damage adjustment and very high bullet velocity.
      I don't think they need a nerf they are perfect A tier.

    One tip I have found is that when you have them staggered but the truenos haven't locked on yet, you can usually just fire them unlocked. Since they aren't moving they should still hit and get that stagger punish without having to wait for a full lockon.

      The same logic applies to things like the earshot or the songbirds - the only limitations to using any lock on weapon on a staggered enemy is your own mind. Missiles will go to where you're pointing at even if they don't lock on so if the opponent is stationary you can let loose.

      i could be wrong and is really more a guess on my part but i thought it works similar to excess EN capacity on generators. it lowers the CD timer on your QB if you are well below the "Ideal QB weight" i have no idea by how much per weight but i noticed it when i started swapping around boosters cause it felt slower on my other heavier builds despite it being the same booster for all 3 builds.

      I now this video is basically only 2 days old but I tried this build with the Main Dish doser Core and Balam's quad legs. Since the only three parts that influence stability are the headpiece, core and legs, it has an absurd amount of stagger resistance for it's speed. The reason I selected the quad legs is that they do not punish charged shots with the Ransetsu RF which cause bipeds/reverse joints to remain stationary when firing. Unfortunately the Core has poor generator stats which forces me to use the VP-20D in order to dodge properly or the heavy coral generator if you know the floating trick with firing the Trueno to stay midair. The head is kind of optional as I went with the Nach for style, but having even more stability might be more effective.

    This build is great. I use a variant with dual VE-66LRA laser rifles and the 150 energy firearm spec genny. Ephemera core is needed to make the EN load work. But you get WAY more damage out of your laser rifles than the Ransetsus can put out, and you also get substantially more range. It pairs perfectly with the dual truenos just like your build. And I love the reactive mid-range playstyle.

    • @Chrightt
      @Chrightt  9 місяців тому +24

      I ran the Ransetsu instead of the laser rifles because it gives me much better energy management needed for the dodging some of the more difficult to deal with close range builds. While you lose out on damage, you win out on accumulated impact too, which helps the Truenos on stagger.

      I like the 150 en spec laser rifles too but i use the dual 2 cell missiles for the en manage ment and being spammable enough and just confusing enough that your opponent has to choose either missiles or lasers to dodge

    • @JaggedJack1
      @JaggedJack1 9 місяців тому +1

      @@bignerd7683 Given the choice, I would always eat the missiles and dodge the lasers. Those 150 en spec laser rifles hit like a truck. The missiles are a nuisance by comparison.
      I have been experimenting between various lightweight low EN missile launchers and the truenos on my 150 en spec laser rifle build myself. The missiles can be good, and the improved EN regen is nice, but the truenos are just too damn good to give up imo. The low energy regen is just the price I have to pay for having this much DPS and stagger potential.

    @gengarisnotinsmash... 9 місяців тому +1

    Man, you really had to go ahead and post almost the exact same build I made 2 days ago. But hey, that means I can share some of my insights as well.
    The main difference in my design is the legs, as I initially went with the Kasuar/42Z (light reverse joints) before switching to the 06-042 Mind Beta (medium weight reverse joints). I highly value the mobility of the reverse joints for a build like this, the longer qb on the ground makes it easier to disengage while the jump height gives you an additional plane if movement to keep opponents at the optimal range. I swapped off the lighter legs because the weapons and Ming-Tang generator are heavy enough that you need to use only the lightest parts to not be overburdened, and because of that I couldn't even get the Nachtreiher arms to fit. Also, the allmind legs are honestly just better in most ways. The other big difference was the expansion, as I used pulse armor instead. Not much to say about that, it's just a safer choice for a mid range build.
    As for strategy, one thing I like to do is to actually use the truenos to burst down the last half of the opponents stagger and instead punish with the Ransetsu burst. You have enough time to charge it up while firing the missiles, and it actually deals comperable damage to the truenos (830x2.15 vs 672x2.20). You lose on damage, but in return you get more staggers, which balances it out a lot.

    I've been using double trueno, plasma thrower, and coquillet to quite a surprising amount of success against anything that wants to hang out around 80-140m. They're basically second overall in my testing among bipeds, along with the Firmezas (better jump length being offset by their higher weight). Honestly, unless you really care about grounded boost speed, I don't see why anyone would choose any leg lighter than the Basho's other than the Nachts.

    My build rn is the fat VE-42 legs, the HAL core and head with the Ephemera arms I think. For weaponry I use the Ransetsu 3-shot burst rifle in the right hand, the Gou Chen grenade launcher in the left, the stun needle on my right shoulder n the Trueno on my left. I'll get the code when I get home. But I put a lil pressure with the Ransetsu, and either stagger them with the Gou Chen n dump both shoulders into them for ABSOLUTELY FRIGGIN INSANE direct hit damage, or stagger them with the needle and blast the Gou Chen for the first hit, even if they get hit one will ALWAYS boost away n when they land I pump the Trueno for that last bit before their acs comes back. The Trueno are just so damn fast, and do amazing direct hit damage. Such a fun build.
    Edit: once I get the code I'll update with that and the internal pieces, as I don't really remember what exactly I'm using. I think I am using the Talbot FCS, but I can't be certain. Also, this is probably one of the most garbage pvp builds, the NEST is fuckin disgusting, full of nothin but Zimm users, shit isn't even fun so I don't mess with pvp.

    Bit of a misconception.
    Recoil STILL kicks on the nash arms with dual retnetsu.
    The reticle doesn't have to bloom for the recoil to start affecting accuracy. You can see rounds deviate from the center of the target in this video when you're shooting at the training dummy.
    If you equip an arm with a higher recoil, you'll notice the rounds go directly straight and never deviate.
    I did a playthrough with the nash arms in PvE, and was missing WAY more with the nash arms.

    • @Chrightt
      @Chrightt  9 місяців тому

      Yes, recoil does kick in because of another type of recoil. It kicks in because of raw recoil vs recoil control instead of recoil/s (which means no additional recoil buildup). With enough recoil control, you can keep bullets directly in the center instead of inside the reticle. However, in this case, Ransetsu is still our best pick because that firearm specialization matters a lot more than recoil control, and the recoil is low enough for it to be accurate + recoil/s doesn't build up.

    I think it's actually better to fire both truenos at once instead of staggering them like I see you doing. You only have to stop your movement once per volley instead of twice, and the instant impact of from both hitting at once will instantly stagger lighter builds and bring even heavy builds to 80-90% stagger.

    • @Chrightt
      @Chrightt  9 місяців тому +8

      I fire both at the same time sometimes, but it is better to fire them off separately to:
      #1 force more dodges and not bet on my opponent from failing to dodge both salvos together.
      #2 impact count + punish. If you fire them both at the same time and fill up the impact bar, then your best punish would be a charged Ransetsu, which is quite distance dependent. And you will have to expect to stagger so you need to pre-charge the gun.

Since he scanned at 23:24 he was on cooldown at 23:27 which wouldn’t happen because the head I’m referring is essentially an infinite scan. Since it’s an exclusive stat it’s something you should have because using it automatically means you have an advantage over anyone who chose not to when the stat comes into play. If you choose vertical missile types you could look through buildings and just fire which would be meta if people knew about it just hiding and doing that as much as you want.

      This guy is so over his head its amazing. Scanning is indeed amazing for missile builds, especially ones that can fire over obstacles or ones with high lock-on time. But in open areas like watchpoint, it does absolutely nothing. There is always a tradeoff.
      As for the boosters, you just showed that you actually have no clue how to pick a good one. I AM still over 330 with NGI001 and 330 is an arbitrary number you set for yourself. I factor in gameplay AND mechanics. You probably chase after double zimms on speed builds. Clearly, if you looked more carefully, you would've realized I was over 330. Not really sure how "a high tier player" can miss basic reading comprehension.

      @@Chrightt Yeah, and watchpoint is the only area that does nothing so you’re pointing at one example versus the entire game.
      No, 330 is the number YOU set, which is why it’s arbitrary, and why although being over it you still failed to dodge all of the missiles. MY number is 340, because you can comfortably strafe every missile without using a boost which you failed to do.
      I use 66lr and 66lra and drones.
      I’m also the only person I’ve seen to making pulse shields viable so I would say you’re the one more likely to run around with zimmies. Look at your gameplay, and don’t get mad at me for peer reviewing your material.
      So like I said, I knew you were over 330 it didn’t matter. Also at 330 you could’ve still strafed the missiles had you been smart enough to just jump and strafe. The more you know.

    You're sticking to the ground a little much there. Have you ever considered rolling tank legs instead? The lightweight ones are no joke on the ground. Neither is the heavy one, but still though. With them you can fire those needle missiles while on the move.

    • @Chrightt
      @Chrightt  9 місяців тому +2

      Sticking to the ground helps energy regeneration. Going into the air should be a tactical choice. There is no such thing as "sticking to the ground too much", only depends on how good of a player you are to make it work. The bipeds are definitely superior here with the speed and flexibility as you want to choose your booster. Even though it might not seem obvious, knowing when you should go into the air and when you should just stick to the ground is key to success too.
      For example, why should I kite a heavy enemy in the air when I can do it on the ground? But what if they got plasma cannons charged up? I can fly to make sure I don't get caught by the AoE. If you want a light tank build you can check out my laser one that makes better use of the wheelchair legs.

    • @dangerwarg9682
      @dangerwarg9682 9 місяців тому

      @@Chrightt That it does. Even in a game like this, there is such a thing as sticking to the ground too much, it just depends on the situation. Seeing how you want to maintain distance and even kite the enemy, with the way you move, you'd probably find improvement in the lightweight tank legs or even the reverse joint legs. Tank cuz your loadout is impairing your speed, and because of that you are very easy to catch. One META using zim-user had a very hard time chasing me on my heavy tank as I backpedaled and melted him with twin laser cannons and a laser handgun. If he got close, he got whipped. I can only imagine how well it might do you if you tried that with a much faster build. Reverse joints cuz most of your QBs are from the ground. The extra jump distance might be super for you. And so on. It's merely a question based on an observation. The design can be improved on, but if you like it the way it is, that's good.
      Anyways to answer the questions...There's too many answers to that. One time the answer is because the heavy enemy has a bomb thrower, which has been the bane of your existence for as long as you are on the ground. Another answer would be because he's bum rushing you with assault boost and if you aren't at awkward angles while he's trying to crash into you and kick you, you're gonna get it. Assault boost can't go directly up or down. Another answer, cuz he will fall to the ground, where the coral missiles will get him. A META answer in 3v3 is because you can fly infinitely and they can't, leading to their attack and defensive capabilities against you to become severely impaired cuz you are frequently out of range while they are not. And so on.
      What if they got plasma cannons charged up? Flying might save you. Though evading it while backing away also does the trick. The further away you force the system to aim, the shallower the angle; the shallower the angle the more likely that shot is not hitting the ground near you. You can also assault boost and side step it while attacking the enemy. If you got hit, well at least it was better than getting it without AB cuz you are out of the AoE fast and you took reduced impact, not that it did much in the first place. For some builds that is completely worth it. I ran into several lightweight biped peeps toting a needle handgun, twin bullet orbits and dagger who are counting on you to hold yourself still by firing a plasma cannon as a non-tank or non-quad, and even then legs aren't relevant. They'll just blitz you and enact their perfect plan to OSK (One Stagger Kill) you. Only way I've managed to beat them or force them to actually fight me is by crashing into them with the assault boost........and/or assault armor them, but in the sea of twin stun gunners, it's unlikely I got Assault Armor prepped.
      Speaking of scary opponents, how did you end up with only one zimmerman user? lol
