I’m still going thru all of your old videos for my mental peace and I really like this method if seed starting.. I don’t have a lot of space but I have coco coir and a seed starting tray.. my harder seeds to germinate will be started this way soon I hope it works out
They look fantastic. My bush beans looked great until the stupid thrips got ahold of them. I actually just trimmed them way back and I'm noticing new growth and some more baby beans. Hoping that the bugs stay away this time.
Oh no! Thrips are bad. I am gonna keep a close eye on my plants. Thanks for the hint about trimming and regrowing. I never would have thought about it on bean plants.
@@aerogardenexperiments you're welcome. I wasn't sure it was going to work. I had bush beans in my greenstalk outside in the summer and the leaves were quite bad so I cut them off and noticed regrowth so I tried it inside too.
Exact same thing happened with my bean seeds, they turned to mush and started to grow mold. With I had watched this video first before I waited for 10 days!
Hi! Love your channel! Just a random thought, I think you (& your kids, et al. ) would really enjoy the beauty AND the taste of nasturtiums, an edible flowering plant. I bet aerogardens would work for them, maybe only 1 or two per tank. Have you ever tried those? 👍🏼🤤 Happy new year, btw, to you and your family! 🎉🌟🙂
Thank you and happy new year. Regarding nasturtiums, yes, they do excellent in Aerogarden and Harvest model is well enough. I have grown nasturtiums but I had to pull out the plants along with many other plants due to aphid infestation. But they were doing excellent until that point. I recommend max 2 plants in Harvest model. Nasturtiums spread out so wide and take up the garden so quick. I am going to try them again sometime in the future, but here is the introduction video, if you are interested ua-cam.com/video/G6gOcvHmIkQ/v-deo.html
Another interesting crop to try in an aerogarden! Would you suggest a more compact bush bean variety, based off your findings? One meal every 2 weeks sounds nice.
I am trying a few varieties currently. So far, nothing is better than the dragon tongue variety. I will keep you posted if I find anything better than this.
If I get a good harvest, I usually make curry and eat with rice. If I get only a little harvest, then I sauté them along with carrots and sweet potatoes. When I cook next time, I will capture a short video and show my recipes. Thank for your interest.
I wonder if you could soak the seeds, then put them into the grow medium & pods, but then place the pods in the starting tray, i.e. keep them watered, but not saturated until the leaves are large enough to move to the AG.
The seed-starting tray is a good idea worth trying it. I will test this method. One problem with many beans is that the seeds are too big to fit into the sponges.

Just got mine in the mail and was super excited to see you had a video for them!
Love your videos. Keep them coming.
Thank you for the videos. I am also trying some bush beans in my bounty, which is on day 9
Nice! I have these seeds and will have to try them out after the eggplants are done.

@@aerogardenexperiments ah, ofc you have, you are the master! Thank you, will watch your nasturtium vid now. 👍🏼🙂
Does having the other aero garden above with another light help this plant more than without?
It might help but a very little. Light won't be that concentrated as it spreads so it won't be useful that much.
Very cool!!
